For some reason I was just wondering how some of MxOs Enumerator/Input/Heuristic/Vector's factions were originally formed, what the story behind them are....a few around today are from back in Beta, some are from even before MxO, formed in another game and migrated to MxO when it came out.

So tell us your story, Jokerz, FA, ML, LET, Causality, DM, CoZ, PdS, SOTI, Ronin, SC, G7G, and other old or even new factions that have an interesting history. Should make for some good reading at the very least

---

Ill start with DE's 'evolution' from Digital Army SMILEY

If yall remember Gunz and Genx, they formed DA back in Beta and had members like Rugre, Meckey, LiquidzMetal, and at one point, (Summer of 05) they put ArchBish0p in charge of the faction since they were not that active anymore and I was second in command behind Arch for a couple of months until October 2005, when Gunz and Genx tried to screw Arch and I over by undoing a bunch of things we had done in the previous months and pretty much pushing us out of the faction.

Well Arch having the devious mind that he does, decided that we would go thru a 'Hostile Takeover' and just keep the faction regardless of what Gunz and Genx wanted to do, so we made a plan and umbeknownst to them, plotted the takeover, disbanded and reformed to a new faction (in the bldg directly in front of the Tabor N HL lol), keeping the loyal members, starting a new site, and deciding on a new name.

Hence, Dark Evolution was formed and we've been rocking ever since!

So....

Dark Evolution:

Date of Inception: October 2005

Dark Mavericks

Date of Inception: 0ctober 31, 1994 in an old fps gaming community (Descent 1, Descent 2, Descent 3) Descent died down just as MXO came to be... So many of us migrated to MXO as a crew midway through beta. Joined The Covenant faction at the end of beta then converted DM to a full-fledged faction few weeks after mxo went LIVE.

The Films were all about Zion this zion that.... good guys must defeat the bad.

I myself planned on being a Merovingian before I downloaded beta.. I wasn't going to be a Zion and join in with the dozens of other beta players  that were looking forward to being neo wannabes running around in prophet dusters yada yada all the goodie2shoes crap... and I sure as hellz wasn't into the Machines... the humans that worked for the mechs... it reminded me of butlers serving a family or dogs on leashes... I wanted to be "bad", in the matrix and bounded by no one.....  The Merovingian is our boss, we have jobs to do so I joined the meros from the start. I was intrigued by  the merovingian organization.. the greed, their suave lifestyle and overall purpose... their existence relied on Zion and Machines never winning the war.

So from beta til this day I've never been in any org and I'm proud to be a merv from the beginning until the day the end comes SMILEY<img mce_tsrc=" />

DM landed on the enumerator server when Zions numbers were OUT OF CONTROL and fought along side the rest of the mero org all the way through the merger of the hostile servers with Vector coming to be. After spending a good while on Vector we moved to Recursion and did our thing there. Now we've expanded across all three servers serving the merovingian org til the end.

Founders: Inguss( Descent era), Inguss, RiDATA, and DrSmith (MXO era)
13 years as a guild and counting.

Morpheus' Legacy had somewhat of a humble beginning.

It started on Enumerator when my pal Trisun made a crew comprised of myself, Skybruin and Outlaw54. We all knew each other from our Halo 2 clan and the ilovebees.com Alternate Reality Game preceeding Halo 2.

Trisun's Crew was named "The Ops of Zion". It was the third day after the retail release.

Later that day we ran into a guy named SMOK3 and his first mate (I think it was Kiloph?). We discussed the possibility of forming our own faction together, and discussed our personal takes on the world of the Matrix. When it was discovered that we all shared a passion for the teachings of Morpheus, and having the beta show us a glimpse at the future, we decided on naming our faction Morpheus' Legacy. While the name may seem cheesy at first glance, Morpheus (to us) had a legacy in place even prior to his "death". The name stuck.

We leveled a bit slower than our rivals (the Jokerz and FA and such), but were present in the events and roleplay from the beginning.

We recruited very carefully at the beginning, with sometimes intense roleplay sessions where we took additional crews and at one point nearly merged with another faction (led by Sunji; his first mate was Whitemyst, i think?) We spent two evenings debating in a VIP room of Jacob's Ladder with their faction about whether we should merge, or have an alliance period. In the end there was no merge, and later on Sunji moved on from Zion. Whitemyst joined FA, and their faction drifted from the front lines.

I think this discretion in the first year, while it meant being a small faction, was imperative to our continued success.

In the opening months we had some outstanding recruits who left their mark on the Matrix.

Some of them are retired: Shivago. xPePcFrEaKx.

Others have become the current face of the faction: Madbent. Mercio. Jephunneh. Scythin.

POST SERVER MERGE-

After the first year, real-life issues caused some of our best to leave. Trisun and SMOK3, our founding Captains, both retired from the game. Outlaw54 was appointed our new Leader. After a period of "same ol' MxO", we stepped up the recruiting. A lot. Madbent had become one of the best PvP players on the server, dominating the Martial Arts brackets in the first server Olympics. He led the recruiting boon as well. Eventually new faces became Captains of ML ships: tonyjaa, icedout, Nterface, Nubious81. ECW420 joined us and captained a crew as well. SMOKE "CAME FROM TRINITY, JOINED ML AND PWNED L33T RP, UNLEASHED MASSIVE PVP ANIHILATION, AND PWNED TEH NEWBS IN TOURNEYS!" (Note: I myself was away from the game for portions of this time as well. *CENSORED* school.)

Morpheus' Legacy had more than doubled in size in a very short time, and we managed to keep our reputation solid doing it, despite the fallout regarding Outlaw54's Cypherite espionage assignment.

Madbent was eventually named our new Leader, seeing as he has put outstanding effort into keeping us running smoothly.
More recruiting and RP/Event participation have followed, leading us to where we are today.

SMOK3'S Crew and The Ops of Zion were kept as our flagship hovercrafts, and still serve as our top tier crews.

(I'll note that xPePcFrEaKx hosts our website/forums too; he still keeps in contact. As for Shivago, if you ever read this, we miss you. xD

I may edit this in the future to expand upon it, if I remember anything missed.)

"Devil's Army" it was SMILEY ah teh good old days... good times good time, anyway i did join a previous faction for a day... which i beleive it was to be COZ i think... well anyway after a day in there i left and made Devil's Army, went well, didnt have any 50's (wasnt many back then) so the whole faction would log on and we would mission, i think i was the highest memeber and a guy called "Gainer" anyway i started it because i wanted to have control over something and being a highish level at that time people would join and well it went for 6 months, went on hoilday for a week came back the 3 people who had hit 50 in my faction left, was like wt.f and disbanned it :OOOO donno why :/ then made "Master Of Master Shadow" that didnt last long SMILEY, well after that joined G7G with the org hoppin thing that could happen back then SMILEY and drama happened and SC was formed but ill let Bay or someone post SC's start up story SMILEY

It was back in.. july '05 on Input - Hostile. After debating for days what to do, and how to call our new faction, we finally did it. Founders were me and bma9999 (miss ya pal). The place of birth for Unleashed was the Sai Kung "Kill Bill Dojo" which is still sorta symbolic for us. A lot of our early members have since left the game and/or moved on to other ones, such as tchen, KhiraLi, L04D, Syl3drion, Vitesses, pattornado. Even tho we were never really big, we always were family. It was a smashing time on teamspeak and in game as well. We spent countless hours of laughing and just hanging out together. Later in 2005 the last active crew of The Duality joined us, with them Arminator, Chryl, AfterWhoruNeo and others. Beginning with the server merge and 'til about early 2006 most of us were busy leveling a second character and it was actually fun as we did it together, Calikula joined us as well during that time. Oh and anyone remember PaaWaa, the guy that won the assassin mask? Guess what faction he was with during the Death of the Destroyer event. Later on some other 50s, mainly ex-Inputs joined us as well, to name a few 51lver and PapiLoccone. Shortly before the first Halloween Event we "found" CptBud who became my personal Padawan and made it to 50 in no time. Heh. In Mid '06 it was the turn for the 2nd Generation of Unleashed, as I like to call them - players that started on Vector and leveled to 50 with our tag. They were LuxPingu, Lynxilein, Jan1na, cYpnis and Frozenhead. Also in the middle of 2006 another old Inputer joined us - DevilBlade, including his crew. After some ups and downs I left MxO in august '06 for a year of fun and adventure in the real world, Australia that was. Unfortunately I lost touch to the ones being still active in the faction after my departure and Unleashed got sorta deserted. Certain atempts to move Unleashed over to other games failed, mainly because a faction usually needs larger numbers to work efficently.

The only ones still rocking today from the very beginning (of the game, of Input, and of course of Unleashed) are motownatl and me. Chryl's still here as well, has since changed sides tho. It wasn't all in vain tho; bma, L04D, Peasie, motown and Chryl are still very good friends of mine, mainly real life ones now. At the moment I'm trying to get in touch again with some more of our early members (mainly Syl and Armin). However, I've got no intentions bringing anyone back to MxO as I can't lie to them and pretend MxO has finally become an awesome MMO, it hasn't. Missions are as boring as ever, PvP's still meaningless, players are still jerks and Live Events (or whatever you want to call them now) are a joke to pretty much everyone who's european and has a life. Some of our early members told me they might give it a go again for a month, but we'll have to see.

Today I don't feel like recruiting new players (newbies) as I'm so tired of missions and starting all over again, again, and again. I saw so many players going from 1 to 50, helped heaps of them. But I don't see me doing it again, that time's over. If leveling would be fun and interesting, perhaps my point of view might be different on that note. So finally, you might be asking why I'm still playing MxO? I'm not really sure.. haha.

As Captain of HvCFT: *MECHAS* we're not humans working for the machines. To give you a brief description continue reading.

"In a future world (The Matrix) of runaway global warming, nuclear war and awe-inspiring scientific advances, humans share every aspect of their lives with sophisticated companion robots called Mechas".

I started out in LiquidFire's Crew *The Vengeance* then becoming Amonrah's 1st mate of his ship *Universal Soliderz* after he was made Captain before me. I chose this name for my ship because it described exactly how I viewed myself and shipmates to come down the line.

JoKeRz are not humans, we are A.I.  A combination of robo-technology that take form of all types of Machines, Cyborgs, Headmasters Androids, Bionic Men & Women who are no longer genetically human and so forth to name a few.

Had to show you were JoKeRz stand on the Machines comment.  By the way ***No one is the Boss outside of JoKeRz***

The Collective was formed on November 25, 2003 by person named Nimbus.  Shortly after gathering machinists into its fold, she abandoned the clan and left it to venture on to new projects (The Sirens).  The current membership decided to press onward and initiate a leadership structure.  Seven captains formed the Council, which still operates as the leadership to this day.  Shortly after UBI ditched MxO and Monolith took over, resulting in new forums, The Collective began recruiting machinists into their ranks offering hovercrafts of varying philosophies and a united front on the official forums.

During BETA, The Collective embraced its ideals and inevitably clashed with the likes of the Furious Angels, RIP, Digital Army, Vereor Nos and others culminating into the legendary 01 War.  During the end of Beta, The Collective stood side by side with the Agents and other proud machinist factions as they fought to purge the Matrix of its redpill population before the inevitable torture that awaited those who refused to jack out.  Having confronted Niobe and even the great Morpheus himself, The Collective anxiously awaited the day the servers went live.

Plunging into Method (and few into Enumerator), The Collective carried on as before, grinding out missions, pvping and even facing off with Morpheus one more time before his apparent demise.  The Collective continues to fight for a better tomorrow though many have branded them traitors to their own kind.  I'm proud to have been a member, captain and member of their Council and I continue to watch them eagerly embrace their destiny with much anticipation.

I'm guessing you couldn't remember the names of some of the heroic machine guilds that are worthy to be mentioned that were there when the Agents FINALLY appeared in Rogers-way to fight side by side with all Machines far after Niobe and Seraph made their appearance fighting alongside Zion.

Most of the fighting that I was present for took place at Stamos where I remember some Jokerz, Glitch Society, Imperial Order and Tetragrammaton were present when we engaged FA and Vereor Nos.

Good times. SMILEY

That sounds about right Garu what you and   have stated above.

I remember it going down big time in Rogers way then moving to Stamos what made the fight even better was when one of the Agents joined our team while we were fighting... Now thats a Event!

Well, I'm not entirely sure about the formation of Les Enfants Terribles, so I'm not even going to try with that one -- although, I'll give a short on the 'ole Immortallis.

Before The Matrix Online had gone into Beta(April 2004?), an individual named Tom_Unplugged had created the faction and began recruitment. Once the Beta had begun, Tom wasn't chosen to participate, so one of the recruits stepped up to be the in-game representative and future leader of Immortallis. Nebkhat had led the faction through Beta, recruiting people such as myself, and eventually into launch on the Enumerator server.

That Tom never did make it in... SMILEY
