I haven't really noticed it, but for some reason a lot of people on my buddy list have been removed. I've had to re-add them since, and I don't think it was a rollback or anything because I've added them over different times. I'm sure there isn't a limit, but has this happend to anyone else? If this thread needs to go somewhere else, by all means move it.

Eh, I kinda get the opposite of this. I usually find people on my buddy list that I have NO clue who they are.

Yeah. For some reason, I had about 15 different people missing on my buddy list when I jacked in.

Problem is... I can't remember their names. SMILEY

I think this has to do with the Station Launcher.
Maybe the people who got removed had characters with the same name before and deleted those, and/or remade them on another server?

That is why you have to be memorable, or something.

I feel like grumbling about fixing something that wasn't broken, but being one of the most vocal players about getting an external chat client and/or groups in the friends' list, I have to grit my teeth and think that it will be better when it's done.  OK back on topic... suspect odd things while the Launcher settles in and gets debugged.  It may be that you'll see alts and even other-game alts appear, similar to "friends of friends" but "alts of friends" if the player is logged to the Launcher list and not in a SOE game yet.  (All your alts appear on-line when you are in the new Launcher unless you've specified how to appear to others.)  It's weird enough to see "soe.eq2.nanjena.elflord45 is in the Matrix" or "soe.swg.farstar.JediPhone is in the Matrix" but I really don't think my cell phone plan can handle the minutes to text from late 27th century earth to a long time ago in a galaxy far far away!
