Several threads have hinted at this, but I'm creating this dedicated thread in an attempt to get an official response.

The drop-rate for pretty much everything has dramatically changed.  I've heard multiple complaints from people farming the constructs, NPC's, frags and PB's.  Today, I've become aware of a rumour that the drop-rates were knocked out of whack by recent patches. 

Is this the case? 
Is it all an elaborate construct of a feeble mind? 
Were the drop-rates simply amended without official word?
Has a piece of code gone implodey?

Example: I finally got a Taskmaster beret to drop today, after a cumulative kill total of approx 45.  That's just, well, insane. 

Example 2: I've completed three PB4's, and received 5, 5, 6 copies of three records, without also receiving at least one of the remaining five.  This could be just bad luck (I've previously only had to complete one or two PB4's to get what I need, and I'm fully aware that some drop more often by design), or a sign that things have indeed gone a little lopsided. 

I've sent two bug reports about the issue.

Official word, if you please.

I've noticed this aswell while farming various items.

The drop-rates have become insane. I know that you guys wants us to subscribe, and by having time consuming things in the game to do, you get your money. But as exsuscito mentioned, 45 kills for a Zero One beret is insane, and I had to go through that aswell.

And then you get what you want, and then what? You never do it again. Why don't we just hand it to you on a silver platter instead?

I'm not rallying for everything to be made quick and easy.  This is merely a request for an official word on the drop-rates. 

I've never heard anyone speak of having to kill TM more than ten times, prior to recent times.

Hence.

I was farming an Area K a few months back i got a male and female beret within 6 drops

This is precisely what I'm talking about.  A few months ago, the rate used to be roughly one in ten, with a significant chance that if you stuck around for another four or five kills, you're likely to see another one.

Whichever way you look at it, the drop-rate has either dropped or become far more erratic.

Anyway, point made.

I'm sure nothing has changed with Pandora's box.  However, Rare may have played around with taskmaster stuff when he put in the One-Zero Gloves.  It's possible.

I remember Rarebit talking about the taskmaster beret only has a 1 in 50 chance to drop every time you kill him. (I might be wrong on the numbers but its something like that)  Now this doesnt mean when he drops one you gotta kill him 50 more times to get one, just means your chanced are 50 to 1. So technicly he my drop it 10 times in a row, its possible, but it might also take 100, you just never know.

Same boat here, a few months ago: You could practically get a stack of Operative frags within an hour or so.

Lucky to get 5 at the most now.

It might be bad luck but really I've tried to farm a few thing(collector items, construct items etc) and they are taking seemingly forever to drop. I don't remember the drop rate being this bad before.

Yeah, I forgot everything about the red frags. Those are a *CENSORED* to get aswell.

Drop rates suck plain and simple and red frag farming is just impossible. I farmed 3 hours and got 1 Consumable Subroutine... that's criminal.
