hey guys, I was wandering if there were any plans for a PET. There were ones on our separate servers (enumerator and input I know of) and could serve us nicely.
benefits:
-This would help us out so that people interested in starting up an event can goto the members and help them get it started, advertised, and staffed by other players willing to help out.
-This can also help out with players who have alt. characters that want to remain anonymous...so they don't have to post their alt characters' name on the forums. This way the events team can post it for them which would made it seem more official as well as keep the person who started the event anonymous if they want to.
-we can have people from all orgs in this group and it will stimulate more player events having said people on hand to input for events or event make an official "PET" event.
Suggestion for structure:
I'm thinking (my personal opinion) that we would need maybe 3-6 people as the officials and as many members as we can take. The officials would be 2 from each org, and would do the "work" of the group. Organizing, looking for participants to play key rolls in the events if needed, keeping infomation about the event private if needed.
the members will be the people willing to play key rolls in the story when needed. These people would need to be RPers through and through and need to be trustworthy people so that the officials can trust them to stay in character and not mess up the event on purpose.
Well, what do you think guys?

another thing this might help with is the officials can build a relationship with Walrus and hopefully get them to bring in some characters for some of these events...if there's a structure though.

I'd be game for that. We used to have one but it was very low key and it's somewhat fizzled out.

Well as some of you know, the Merovingian made an appearance at a player event. We need to get started on making really good story driven events to play out more regularly...
will anyone else help me get this started? Vector really needs more quality player events...not just pvp tournaments, but stuff with stories so that maybe we can get some characters to help us out eventually.
please help...

i know PB...I'm just needing some mervs and machines to step up now so that we can have a fully realized team that represents all orgs so that noone thinks it'll be biased or anything. but really its just for player events so really it can still be done I guess. It'll just help a bunch.

good to hear guys! :smileyvery-happy:
I'm realling liking the alt idea for making events...depends on the event I guess. If it can be pulled off using alts for the main characters...then it gerunteed to run smoothly since the main part of the stories can't be ruined by anyone.
Lets meet this week sometime. When is everyone available? tuesday/wednesday night/evening would be the best night(s) for me.

Digital Remnant has run two successful storyline events on Vector to date.
So far they have been Zionist only, but if the community is willing to
work together, we may be willing to expand to other orgs as well.
Our events included multiple cinematics, live character interaction,
etc just like a live event should be.
We also have setup an event website that updates storyline as it progresses during each event.
We are getting better at it as we progress, and we'd like to help bring the Matrix story back into this server.
Factions that have participated in our events include:
Shadows of the Infinite
Furious Angels
The Black Market
Bullet Time
Network Imperium
The Unreal Armada
I'm glad you brought this up Bonopi.

I hope this doesn't deter any faction from doing their own events as well...and I'm glad that you guys are still keeping the player events alive.
Can we get a rep or two from your faction in this group since you guys have some good experience running events?

Just FYI, the existing PET team website is at http://pet.machinerealm.com
However a larger scale PET would be awesome and I'm well up for it
