Is it just me or do you feel a little underwhelmed when you get to the end of a critical mission, you get your face time with a main personality,
you get your 'Atta Boy!' speech and then,
as a token of their esteem,
to show that you are truly a mover and a shaker,
an irreplaceable operative for the cause,
someone who gets things done,
a veritable hero of the faction,

They give you a Magenta 5% AntiViral Catsuit.
Or an enhanced rifle that you got for the first time like 5 levels ago.
Or some opposite-gender shoes with 4% Damage Reduction.

"Gee thanks, Niobe!  I really appreciate the purple catsuit.  I decomped like 5 of them so far but yours is EXTRA special.  I really look forward to using the 2 Bit1s, 3 Bit2s and 1 Bit4 I'll get from it to make some Tactics Boosters as soon as I leave this meeting and get to a hardline..."

How about something with a little more meat to it.  I understand that you don't want the market flooded with cool items but jeez, I pull better loot off a single 3-chevron Orange Mob...

It's Monday morning and yes, I feel better now.  SMILEY

Well when I finally managed to complete that last of this current set of crits (took freaking hours due to the mission constantly crashing >_<SMILEY I wound up with several nice enhanced guns (that's a good 125,000 info right there) and decent enhanced clothing - RCT +9 Gi this time =D. It's just random. If you get the guns and don't want them, don't sweat it. Just sell them at a vendor.

But seriously, I know that the gifts they give can be a nice cash or XP bump when sold/decomped.  I am just saying that choosing normal run-of-the-mill items is a little blah to me.  The only lasting thing I take away from the criticals is a few screenshots.  And since the characters keep wandering around, it is a pain.  But that is a complaint for another day... /agreed with you totally.. need somethin a little more spicey with these criticals, make things a little more interesting, maybe a bit more interaction (even with NPC fights not jus "get this artefact.. take it to such and such - end of critical)

The loot of the critical missions is disappointing after
you get beyond a certain level.  Now I don't mind when I
get something that I don't have in my recipe list, although
I would prefer an enhanced item that I do not have.  Most times
I get something that I already have.  Maybe some code to make sure
that the clothing is for the char's gender and something that they
do not have.

I thought the last bit of criticals were really fun. Fighting next to an Agent really brought back some awesome past-times when my character was a Machinist (He's a Zionite now). I still need to do my last one, heh, but so far they've been very good at rewarding me with more knowledge of the storyline and some impressive screenshots, at least.

Loot, though, could use a major overhaul; I agree.

LOL!

Or an "I met Niobe" TShirt.  It would be so much better than all those happy/sad face tshirts.

heheh

Some unique clothing thing owuld actually be a good idea.  Or whenever they add new things, like those Emerald Pravea Sunglasses, you can only get them through the critical missions and you can't decomp them.
