On August 1st, the long awaited CS Pro mod  finally reached closed beta. It looks like this game will actually reach fruition.

For those not familiar with CS Pro mod; it is a modification based on the Half Life 2 engine. It was Specifically designed for competitive game play. It uses the high end graphics that you see in Counter Strike Source, but has the same specifications (IE: accuracy, recoil, mathematics, et cetera) as Counter Strike 1.6 and 1.5. An elite group of players (think big name teams), along with the development team and others will help make the final decisions on which aspects should be taken from which version. When all is said and done, the goal of CS Promod is to create a hybrid Counter strike with all of it's best qualities and have it used main stream for competitive game play.

So who here plans on checking out Counter Strike Pro Mod? SMILEY

The website for it is: http://www.cspromod.com/

And the irc channel for it is in the Gamesurge network and ithe channel name is #cspromod

Yup, alot of competitive cs players aren't happy with the way Source runs, and it doesnt compare with 1.6 and 1.5. Although, with the way esports is going you need good graphics. And this mod is putting the best of both worlds together.

I believe both, or just Half life 1 and 2
