We would need an expansion pack and there aren't enough players for developers to put the time and money into it.

There aren't any plans to do that. However, apart from a few constructs, I heard they had worked on a few additional areas. There was some kind of a power plant with zombies, and possibly some other area they keep in secret. My theory would be the freeway system since it was already modeled for the movie and I think Rarebit mentioned they had had some kind of an intention to do that. To a question concerning his world design abilities, he also stated that he basically was able to create some kind of new district or neighborhood, but from what I've read, it would probably be some sort of copy of what we already have. Just repeating, they don't have plans, but you shouldn't completely give up your hopes.

TBH, I can't really ever see them release an entire new section of the city. There just isn't enough staff and time to complete it in a reasonable amount of time.

The Ask the Devs thread, mainly the old one (too stupid it isn't searchable right now).

Ya this game had such great potential in the start. After time things change, it's getting better bit by bit, but still IMO if the game would have ended up like it was meant to I think we would have a whole lot more to keep us ingame than random events and pvp.

You're right concerning new districts. But the events are not random (not judging after their content... perhaps after their timing), and there's still the story. I don't PvP and have hardly partaken in an event. Why do I think am I still playing?

It's not like the existing districts are full enough, anyway. I remember reading somewhere that before adding anything new, they'd like to give incentives for players to do stuff outside of Richland.

As far as I know, Richland does not have any more or any more dense content than the other three. Just if a storyline mission is neighborhood specific, it's always in Richland.

Just to throw out a question: what exactly is the reason why you (in a collective sense) want to have new districts? Do you think the current city is too small (for you alone) and want it to be bigger or do you feel unsatisfied with only a few red spots on the grand green map being filled, and want to see more of the city? Would you like new districts to expand the city's diversity? That's my motives, at least. And filling out the current districts doesn't help this. Or is it the playable content, which you've run out of, and hope to get more of with new districts? Rarebit's right, filling out the current ones is the way to go. This can include both building on the current city content and including new elements. Except you want new, fresh neighborhoods with their own backgrounds? Or do you feel the city's just too small for the player base, and needs expansion in order to give you and everyone more air to breathe? ROFL. That's also what those players who only value the community and player interaction about an MMO think. Except there are the above aspects, too.
