Not anymore.

Someone should add the "Blue Dreamer" or whatever. (Cryptos ship if you were wondering btw) only seems fair sence Neo's Hope is on there.

I believe in the closest canonical reference, it's 2199 by the time of the first movie.
When Morpheus said 'it's closer to 2199', he did so in the assumption that there had only been one Zion. It's definitely much later than that.

I can't remember if there are any dates specified for the start of the War (operation Dark Strom etc), but if we guess it to be around 2050 and allow, say, 50 years for the Matrix to go through its first two incarnations, then one iteration of the Cycle is 99 years long. So it's actually 2050+50+(6*99) = about 2700.

Even if those assumed figures are wrong, the real date will be 2199+(5*[length of Cycle iteration]).

Well-put, Proc. I have a feeling the iterations lasted at least a few generations, ie. long enough for each version of Zion to get up and running by the descendents of the pod-born awakened when the previous One made his/her decision to go through the door on the ...left, was it? Been a while since I watched Reloaded, so my memory of the confrontation with the Architect is a bit fuzzy.

Update'd. I also threw in Scanline for good measure, though most of the stuff I updated only reflects a Recursion perspective, since I don't play Vector or Syntax, and don't know the stories over there.

When Neo made his call from the telephone booth at the end of The Matrix, the Machine log listed the year as 2199. I wouldn't think that the Machines would have their private logs reset with every iteration of the Matrix.
