Since hearing news that the Simulation will be switched off:

May I ask if anyone has a mirror of the Matrix Online Forums or, if not, whether it would be possible to construct such?

Especially with regard to story - writing, telling and role - play; there is just far too much creativity and richness here to let die out with the game.

Agreed.  I believe Vesuveus has mentioned that he wants to copy at least the important posts of the forum, so you could ask him.

I need to work out who to contact with a serious request for the forum database (minus restricted posts and account passwords, of course). There's no way we can archive everything by hand.

I agree.  It is paramount that we archive this.  Some of us have sacrificed much to contribute these works.

Agreed! I'm going through and copying all my personall RP posts. I'm not going to touch the LE posts I've made, so I'm hoping someone mirrors those.

I'd be also interested on hearing what SOE's stance will be on us archiving all this stuff and making it available and would also be very willing to host a copy of the forums, even if I have to archive it myself I'll try and do it (god know's how long it will take though and wouldn't be 100% unless they closed the forums for a week so there's no new posts, although I'd hate to see that)
