Cannot create faction??

Ok, tried to make a crew with a bud and it said: ds_psduplicatecrewname

It's not a duplicate as my bud then made a crew using the same name and invited me!

Anyway, after making me captain, i tried to form a faction with another crew of the same org.

I get this message:

Cannot create a faction because you are a member of one.

What the hell is going on? i am not in a faction!?!?!

Even the faction bit says you are not a member of a faction, choose a crew blah, blah blah!!

Can someone help? I'm trying a TSR as I'm writting this too.

The only thing I can suggest is to back up your profile folder then delete the original. That will lose all your hotbar settings, map flags and window sizes and positions, but MIGHT fix it.... Probably best to wait on a TSR on this one as it could be an account problem in the database.

Yea, they came back with delete this and that, including profiles folder.

This didn't work...

They advised me to submit an email petition for a GM to visit me in-game and resolve the issue.

Submitted.

This could take forever...

So i am still waiting for my GM in-game, /ccr'd like 10 times.

It's not crucial for you to have a faction, maybe they are fixing bugs that effect ALL players, so stop being selfish

Btw, that doesn't help, but expected such a response sooner or later.

Ok this could help, You need 2 crews for a faction, with 2 members in each crew, and maybe....... you should join a faction and leave it straight away to see if that resets it

Ahh. The good ol' faction bug... unfortunately it's a problem with you game account in the DB.

This one is about as frustrating as it gets, because it REQUIRES a Game Mod to fix the problem on the servers.

Hopefully you'll get a response from a TSR ASAP, I'll PM someone as soon as you post the RSI name and the server that it's on (they need that info to fix the problem).

Also don't forget that the live support is based on US business hours... so If you try at 2 or 3 in the morning it should be good. Again SOE excells in customer care. :rolleyes:

Tiango: Tried that mate, me and my bud have a crew each with 2 on each and I have also tried joining and leaving a different faction altogether to no avail.

Why can they not just reset my character?

Do you got more characters? You can have 3 per server. You could try if you can get another character to make the crew and then the faction and have someone else invite your main character.
