If its not too late then I'd like to sign up; tho I won't be able to participate in the MA portion if it is held too early in the day.

Name: Haxadec
Crew: The UnderGroundCrew
Faction: The Daniel Institute of Dream Interpretation
Neurokinetic Level: 50
Tournament: Martial Arts, Gunman, Hacker

And I gotta ask =( ... will the hacker portion be limited to the viral half of the hacker tree? And, will the self defense martial arts style be allowed? (I am trying really really hard to withhold my opinion here)

And I have to request everyone involved to consider a round robbin style. I feel this should provide a much more accurate assessment of skill and generaly be more fun for the participants then the traditional tournament style.

I'll post up the rules after the sign-up has run it's course, but they won't differ much from last Golden Code Tournament so bring your non-enhanced shorts and skirts, Heh-heh.

I'll definately have to look up the old thread.  This will be the first golden code tourney i've attended so I dont know the specifics of what goes on.

I am also interested in what hax asked though, whether the hacker portion will be limited to the viral side of that tree.

We will be using the viral part of the tree only, no hybrid loads and no martial arts self defense styles either in the hackers tournament, Crusaders. I can't remember if you agree with me here Haxadec, I think we've had it up for discussion before, but I think we're sticking to the laid out path without all to many bends and curves.

I think that a round robbin style throughout the entire Tournament would be interesting, what's the general opinion on this?

will this no hybrid thing count towards guns as well.

I mean my load has nothing but gun ablities in it but its from all the gun groups is this allowed as this loadout is one i've grown acustom to

No use of the buffing/healing side, no Patcher Fu for example.

In the tournament it's as Tsusai said not allowed to for example run with a hybrid of a part of the hackertree and a part of the martial arts tree. You're of course welcome to load both from smg, rifle, sniper and guns in the gunman tournament, aracher, the same goes with martial arts both kung-fu, aikido and karate loads in any combination is allowed. The only place where there's a rule which way to go on the path of the trees is in hacker one where it's not allowed to load from the patcher side and of course not from gunman or martial arts either...

Thank you for clarifying that question on the hacker tree Reposco.  However, I have another question.  You said that the rules would be basically similiar to those of the last golden code tourney.  This is where my question comes into play....

3.  No Tactic Boosters, no health pills, no antibiotics, no Oracle Cookies, no Smith's Rage pills, no buffs of any kind.  Cancel Upgrade will be used on each combatant prior to the start of every match to negate any possible buffs that may occur.

Does that "no buffs of any kind" refer to consumable style buffs, health pills, ect, or does it include self buffs in the hacker and awakened tree, such as HYPER-DEFLECT, REPAIR RSI 1.0, and OVERCLOCK....the first of which grants the user viral resistance, the second of which heals the user, and the third provides additional viral damage for the user.

Sorry if these questions seem repetitive but my current strategy when I am in game revolves around the clothing i wear, the attacks I have and the buffs I use and I just want to get a firm grasp on what specifically is allowed and what isnt so that I can study the ability tree better and arange a more suitable load-out for this tourney.

I'm afraid something out of my control has come up, I won't be able to attend the tournament. Please remove my name from the list of contestants. Again, I apologize but there is nothing I can do.

E Pluribus Neo
Golden Code
Organization Tournament Series
Day One: Martial Arts Tournament

Information and Details

Date:  Friday, July 18th
Time:  Tournament will begin promptly at 12:00pm MCT
Running Time:  Until tournament is over
Location: Camon Park

Brackets

Level 25-27 - Initiate I
Level 27-30 - Initiate II
Level 31-33 - Initiate III
Level 34-36 - Intermediate I
Level 37-39 - Intermediate II
Level 40-42 - Intermediate III
Level 43-45 - GrandMaster I
Level 46-48 - GrandMaster II
Level 49-50 - GrandMaster III

Rules

1.  This is a Martial Artist Tournament.  As such, only those with MA skills may participate and it would be nice if everyone that have the tree  participates.  No abilities outside of the Aikido, Karate, Kung Fu or Awakened skill trees may be used. As to styles only the Aikido, Karate and Kung Fu styles will be allowed, Self Defense style will not.

2.  Shielded, Armored and Enhanced clothing will not be permitted.  As such, all entries will be given a set of non buffed clothing and wear it throughout the tournament.

3.  No Tactic Boosters, no health pills, no antibiotics, no Oracle Cookies, no Smith's Rage pills, no buffs of any kind.  Every operative will have their EJP checked before going into the ring.

4.  Each match will consist of three battles between each combatant, the winner of 2/3's of the battles will move forward until two finalists are remaining for each bracket.  Those finalists will then submit to three battles, until the winner of 2/3's of those battles are deemed the winning party for their bracket. This will probably be done as a round robin should there be an unequal amount of operatives signed up.

5.  Early departure from the tournament constitutes that combatant's forfeit from the tournament, unless permission is given from the Liaisons.  Failure to adhere to any of the rules may result in disqualification at any time.

No offence meant to kraler but I think he should be removed from the list as he is the only one in his bracket and any item given to him would be given to him for doing nothing which I do not think this competion is about.

I see no other people lower than level 50 entered

I know this was for the MA portion, but if it is like last year I am sure that the rules will be nearly identical.  Can you please elaborate on this?  Does it mean "no buffs" as in no  consumable buff items can be used....or "no buffs" as in no hyperdeflect or overclock or any self-buff abilities?

Same here.  Too early for me.  I'll try my luck at the hacker one.
