LOL. Ever been to a packed Live Event? Imagine the lag there (experienced by the majority of the players, with some execeptions of good computahs) multipled by three.

When and where (and how often) are they? I fully acknowledge my opinion is uninformed. The real question is though, is that a good thing or a bad thing for new players? And therefore is that also a bad thing for the game?
P.S. I'm on Vector but have started a character on Recursion and do notice more people (which is fun!)

It is only a hang over from old style technological limitations and inflexible mmo lore that ever arrives at the idea of multiple servers, one day people will look back on it and laugh. No server curently offers the full versatility of this game and a merge could easily expand the diversity of the game for one and all - moreover it would ensure a single consistent story delivered in its more efficient form by let and lesig. LAG is the big issue that needs resolving first but already we hear the three instances occupy the same hardware and already we know that for the most part lag exists in the total absence of population..... the problem can be resolved and the entire population of mxo past present and future can be accomodated. Server predjudice remains our second biggest stumbling block, are we big enough to tackle it?

Everyone would just acknowledge that Syntax pwns all and that would be the end of it.  I'm indifferent, honestly. If it happened, I'd keep playing just like I do now. Er, well, I wouldn't, because I'll be gone come December 10, but if I came back, I would.

Our communities and play styles are too different and would never work together. If you insist on merging servers and then having some districts be hostile, then some districts will have to have enforced RP.

No. Making a certain district permanently hostile forces limitations on Roleplayers (and people just trying to level up and play the game). I like International, I like Downtown and I like to roleplay there and know that some idiot isn't going to come and kill me for a pathetically useless CQ. Also, PvPers would still crowd around Mara C like lost sheep...If they wanted to PvP in international or Downtown, they could already...they don't.
If they make anywhere permanently hostile, make it one single neighbourhood: Mara C...don't like that, then the contructs work just fine.
And, again, this is why the Servers should never be merged. The Hostile/non hostile difference is too great between us that we would never reach a unified opinion.

I think the server should be merg'd apart from Vector. =P It would give better PvP/RP/Live Events!
