Does anybody else think that you should level up more quickly? I have played a lot of MMORPGs and I find that the only real flaw in this one stopping it from being the best is how long it takes to level up. Anybody else feel this way?

Not in the least. Compared to some games like Final Fantasy Online and EQOA, this game is a breeze. Sure, it's a little slower than WoW, but it's still not terrible slow IMO. Took me three months of constant playing on FF Online to get to 30. Took about three weeks of casual playing on this game to get there.

Its quicker on other games because the level cap is higher.

I've had the game for nearly a year now, and I have not spent any time leveling alts. I really hate missioning, and prefer to just sit around and enjoy stuff, I level slowly when I feel like it - I hate grinding. I dont want to feel like I am working when I  am playing a game.

Oh yes, and guess what level I am. 43. :smileywink:

i really feel the opposite. not that it should take longer, necessarily, but save for maybe guild wars i can't think of any game in which it's quite so easy to hit the max level. if you really work at it, you can hit 50 in a couple of weeks.

It was considerably faster before the implementation of CR2. Now it takes forever to kill one orange NPC. Before the Archive incident when the deflecters were set unreasonably high it was even faster. No one goes to the  Archives anymore, not like before, when there would be big Zion teams and big Machine and Merovingian teams seeing who could get the most damage without breaking into PVP. Big XP for killing the boss. Big loot, use to be big loot.

QFE. Once you play Final Fantasy, all other MMOs pale in comparison to that leveling.

I'd like to chime in and agree with what a previous poster said. I get in a mood where I want to grind, but generally it is to help out lower level factionmates. That's not why I pay for this game. I've been back for something like 6+ months now, and am level 43, and I don't care. I'm not here to PVP, I'm here to be involved with the story, events, LESIG, and player events. And I am. Grinding isn't fun, meeting the characters, participating in the stories, etc.... those are. I always sort of laugh when people hit me with the "You're not 50 yet? lmaowtfbbq!!11" schitck, because I'd rather enjoy the game day by day, level as I go when I want, and have fun instead of grind to 50 and burn out because I don't have anything to do but PVP at Mara C. I don't care if that is what gets some people going, different strokes for different folks, but I think long term enjoyment of MxO requires more.

Yeah i agree with phrog, i have been here since release and only hit 50 in december last year, grinding is boring and i have seen many many people get the game, grind to 50 in a few weeks then they have left not much longer  because they think there`s nothing else to do.

I remember about a month after release all the people that left cause they were completely bored after the mindless grinding for 3 weeks solid to get to 50.  It made them hate this game.  I made 50 in just under 3 months and I have had an alt since the server merger who has only managed to get to lvl 35 since then.  It was all too easy to get to lvl 50.  Me like many other wish they had taken their time but thats all history now

Other than what some people might say there is a lot more to mxo than just running missions 24/7.  The one thing I would tell you to do is interact with the mxo community as much as you can.  Thats what this game is all about..................the people playing it.
