Hey guys...Something I thought of doing to try to get MxO some exposure...tell me if you think it's no good.

Have as many people that play MxO as possible get on xfire, and even when you're afk, and if you can, at least load the launcher so the processes is running and xfire makes it so you're playing, and try to somehow move MxO up the ranks on xfire.  If it moves up a significant amount, maybe some people might notice.  :/

I can do the letter thing for what it's worth.

Not sure about the jelly bean thing since the anthrax scare a long while back. If I don't see you guys at the 6 o clock news, I'd give it a shot.

It's really no different than the "Nuts to CBS" protest that was pulled off a little over a year ago, now.

Just replace crates full of nuts with crates full of red jellybeans.

I've done...

...what I do?

For what it's worth, I've had plenty of inspiration.

I, for one, am getting sick of these dramatic one liners, but only because so many people keep using them. Can't you just say "Hey, good job, man?"

Well, I have an idea.

I live in a small town but it does have a public college and the next town over has a private college and a private university.  So there is at least one PC Gaming business right nearby.  It's where you can go and play both online and offline games.  (Did you see Lost In Translation, where they showed those gamestores?)

Is there some way The Matrix Online could use these gaming businesses as partners?  Anyone know how to go about suggesting that?  That's an automatic player base right there nationwide, probably more than all 3 servers together right now.  If we get people to try it, they might like it enough to stay.

It's a way to get more people ingame than those of us playing from home or work.

Someone brainy out there figure out a way to get SOE to have  MxO as an option in gaming centers....then wouldn't Sony want to invest in the game to keep adding players?

They don't need red jellybeans.

They need suppositories.

That's entirely possible.

What I'd suggest to you, and others, who have ideas like this, is to catalogue them in a .doc file or some other medium, as a complete proposition.  There will be an outlet for ideas like this one to be forwarded along.

I was making a reference that very striking image in the second LOTR Movie where the signal fires kindle one by one by one along the mountains in Rohan... Just trying to be creative here, and we know a simple "Hey, good job" isn't my style.

K, as stated on the other thread, I'm down for letter writing.

Mind you, I'm slightly LESS hopeful about it succeeding than I am of there being an MxO-2, but I'll throw for the stamps.

Maybe even the Jelly-beans. I am seriously lmao at these oh-nuts people pitching to us. I know times are rough but... heck, maybe we won't save MxO, but we might keep one candy-distributor from folding, and isn't that an accomplishment in itself?

More technically, I'm sorry, but I'l probably write my own letter.

And we need some numbers... like, how many trials we get, etc. I think there is still a lot of interest in this game, its just that people try it out, and see it dead as a door-nail, and don't stick around. I think we need to pitch them on the fact that if the game gets some love and attention, more of those trial people would stay.

will be interested in the details.

and, hey, do you think if we did like the Jericho peeps, and sent nuts to Zippy, he might get the squirrel's to pull for us? or sick them on SOE headquarters. Ya know, "Fix Mxo, or we'll sick the rodents on ya!" Just a thgt, not a very good one either, nvmd...

Edit: /smackforehead... laughing at myself for having a typo in the sentence where I say I'll send my own letter. Guess I need to make sure I spellcheck it.
