There's something about this game that sticks in the soul. Whether it had something to do with the fact that ED always talks about MxO in Ventrilo or the fact that I actually had a dream about this game the other night, I've jacked back in. (According to my character's storyline, I've finally returned from my real world search for alternate power sources for the machines so we can rid ourselves of this whole Matrix business... and found what I knew to be Zion obliterated).

It looks like there are a few still around from back in the day. For those that don't remember, or don't even know me for that matter, I was an early October 2004 beta invite. I spent most of my beta time grinding missions to death and when The Enigma Directive formed, we were all over Linenoise. We still say those first couple months were the best gaming experiences we've ever had. When the server transfer was offered we switched to Method, and I actually spent a little time as a forum mod, but not long after we started to fizzle. I took some time off over that summer and early fall and came back on Recursion during Nightfall, leaving immediately after the 1st Anniversary event. I took a look again this past August with a trial key, but it took until now to actually come back.

Well, that's enough for now. Didn't mean to drag on so long, but since it's been two years, I figured a recap was warranted.

I hope everyone has been well! SMILEY

Welcome back! While the game has seen better days, we are lucky we have such a rock solid community behind us.

Welcome back DeBarlo. You are still one of the players I respect the most of all those I met in MxO. Don't hesitate to contact me back.

Thanks, Harpalos! It's great to see that there are still some of the respectable players from three years ago still around. I always appreciated reading your comments and input on the forums.

Hi Lezel -- yes, I do recall h4xb0t! SMILEY /tipfedora

First, Welcome Back!

You hit it right on the head, there is something about this game. It is, in fact, what brought me back once again.

Nice to see more people returning to the Matrix. Perhaps this is the start of a new revolution.

ciao,
~L

If not your own will, others from the game will lure you back. It's just something about it..
Welcome back
