Anyone notice the new $information icon in the NPCs' loot?

I was fighting some NPCs on the test server when I noticed the new $information icon in the NPCs' loot. It's a dollar sign and a lower case "i" with a purple code background.

Just out of curiousity, why the desire to change the $info icon?

Originally I believe info was supposed to be 'refined' from raw drops. Hence the info-sign-as-data-disk was a legacy item, and people wanted it changing to a more suitable sign.

If you're refering to the pic I posted, no, I just missed it when I cropped the screenshot.
