Hi there,
I am new so I am skinf for some help to plan my character.
First of all I am making a Martial Artist/Patologist and while I understand the abilities, I am unsure about the attributes.
The big question is where should I put my 49 points?
I looked at this:
The question is, is there a cap or can I put all my point in one ability?
Which do you think I should upgrade and how many point shall I put in each one to build an effective character?
Thank you...
Shayel

That webpage is out-of-date. The maximum amount of points you can put in an stat (attributes in Cr2 are called stats) is 30 so you can't put them all in one. Belief should be your main one because that benefits melee and viral skills. Reason benefits the rest of the viral skills and Focus benefits the rest of the melee skills. So if you want a character that is equally good at both skills you should probably spend half your points on belief and a quarter on reason and focus. But you might want to spare some for the others like vitality where innerstrength and health are important.

As far as what you plan for: Spec in what you like most. If you like gunman, spec for gunman, Martial Arts, spec for Martial Arts. The great thing is, you can get a stat hack item and just redo it if you don't like it.

It's cool that you want to do both trees, but you're going to lose alot if you try to put all of your stats into 3 trees, in my opinion. It'd be best if you just stated your self for whichever tree you like the most. If you like MA more, you should put your stats into belief and focus, and just focus on those two until you use all 49 points. If you like Pathogenest more, you should put your stats into belief and focus. It'd be best, in my opinion to go for MA as you level up. Sticking to operative as a low level is a good choice because you get more health and things like that, that will benefit in the long run, plus you get more skills and abilities as a low level than you do as a hacker(pathogenist). Also, you can take on the construct bosses(you may or may not have heard of these) as a martial artist or gunman. Again, these is just my opinions, others might tell you differently.
Oh, and for more questions like this, or if you just want help, I'd recommend the "Redpill Rescue" boards.

Like others in the thread, I strongly recomend to stick to one tree in the stat distribution. The stat hack mission is not that hard, you can do it in 5 minutes (haven't tryed now without evading guys all the way lol). A good guide to follow is this one (I wonder how links will be transfered to the new forums) but I personally prefere to max out two of the stats (those that are relevant for your accuracy and your damage). Thank you all.. this gives me an idea on where to start... I did not know you could reset the abilites, in that case I can experiment a bit.
In addition, I was told Hyper Jump is capped to 25 even though you can upgrade it, you waste money.
Are there any onthe abilities capped?
Thank you again...

Operative: Spy - Perception + Reason MA - Focus + Belief Gunmen - Perception + Focus Hacker: Virologist - Reason + Belief Patcher - Focus Coder is the same as the others. If your proxy is an ma your the hacker so you will need the hacker attributes and vice versa.

From what I've been told using Martial Arts, it is best to focus first on belief then on focus/vitality. Melee accuracy lower lvls seems to be the name of the game, besides dealing damage is less crucial at lower lvls.

when you decide what class you want to be you will want to use attribute points that will help you in that tree, so your going to want to put points in whatever gives you accuracy and damage for the tree, ex guns (perception, focus)
