Make a string by using the glue gun to glue the toothpicks together, glue the end of that to the egg, and lower it down, nice and gently :smileyvery-happy:

LOL...this was fun when i was in school. My design passed but it did have a slight crack. If it doesn't work for you don't be mad at me lol.

I am working from memory so if something doesn't look right let me know  cause it prolly ain't lol

Take two whole sticks side by side...break a stick in half and have one half stick on each end  making a rectangle.I belive I put like 2 or three extra in middle...been a few years.Sorta like the trick of puting weight on a ballon with nails under it,the more nails the more weight can be added because weight is not resting on a single point but a bunch of little point's

 Make four of these.

Now with the four pieces make a diamond around the egg so that it cradles it tight.

Now glue two sticks together to strengthen them and make 8 doublesticks.

from top view you have a diamond....on every point put a double stick basicly turning diamond into big rectangle...

From this point just make it symetrical,as you add more sticks.if you adding to a double make it a double to keep frame of it reinforced...if only one then it needs only one....you want the basic frame to last but the outter stuff is gonna need to be strong but breakeable.

when it hits the ground.if you make it all outta double sticks it will cause the egg to absorb all the energy but if you make muliple outter layers, when it hit the ground the outter shell will break absorbing alot of the energy.

Also,do not make it to rounded....when a ball hits the ground it goes straight back up....if you make it more ovalish (is that a word lol) when it hit's the ground it will move in another direction abosrbing even more energy.

I think you'll get the rest with no prob only thing you may need to do is make triple or quadruple sticks for reinforcement depending on how high your droping from...we did ours from 10 feet I believe

Do not try to drop the egg, for that is impossible.
Rather, simply try to realize the truth: There is no egg.
Then, you'll see it is not the egg that drops - it is only yourself.
