Nice work, but ouch... I feel your pain. 
Having boot camp is one of the smartest things Apple has done in years regarding Macs and just general hardware sales. Even if people hate OS X or don't like the limited performance capabilities of the OS X gaming/graphics subsystem we can still go, "Hey, cool Mac, I'll get one." and not have to give up anything.
I'm impressed by the work in Parallels, especially for initial DirectX support for casual apps, but as you note, thank goodness for Boot Camp.
