Is datamine bugged? i can't seem to do anything in there cause it say's im constantly moving, anyone else had this problem?
I managed to get a DM tapper, all is good now, although i wasnt able to detect luggables :/
Edit: i tapped several Nodes and i got a 80% chance of spawn rate, even on the low lvl ones
my datamine trip ended when a lvl 255 agent spawned on me without the System alert
Anyone else got this problem or is my client just having a day off?
Level 255 Agents spawn when tapping in Datamine. No warning, nothing. And only way to get rid of them is to leave the Mine. All other spawns can be HJ'd off.
I had the moving problem too last night. Even though I couldnt see myself actually moving I was unable to use abilities or tap nodes. I found it usually sorts itself out once you pick up the datamine tap. Although is is a real pain because you need to be able to use the tool to find it first. Hope Rare can find out what the actual problem is and fix it.

haha i didn't know that but still, the spawn rate is pretty big, i got a spawn every tap i did basically apart from a selective few, so i'd say now was the time to go get QS frags XD
I had the same problem. Run into a fence or a similar place that doesn't allow you to do a regular hyperjump. HJ there and it's fixed.
Defnitely sounds like a bug. You should be able to use any tap in DM, not just the luggable.
In relation to the lvl255, that spawn is a byproduct of using the DM tap itself, or a Data Scrambler 0.4. (If you are using a Scrambler in DT or other districts, you will get 255 spawns, they just drop dead instantly except in DM).
As such, you can avoid the spawn by using a Data Extractor 3.0. Obviously, the DM Tap has a LOT higher payout, but if they happen to be in use and you don't want to jack whoever is using them, its good to know your other options.
Personally, when I can't use the DM tap, I ALWAYS use the Extractor 3.0. It does have a much lower range, but it gets more info than the Scrambler, and, as stated, you don't get the lvl255's.
Yeah, I get that a lot but a few HJ's usually fixes it.
Yeah, I had the same problem. When I finally got my goggles to work, the 255 agent came to get me.
Data Mining in general seems borked: I keep getting the "Out of range of node" error message unless I'm *right under* the node. Very strange....

What kind of tap are you using?
The only taps with any real range are the DM tap and the Data Scrambler 0.4. These allow you to tap for a considerable distance.
ALL other taps require you to stand right under the node, Including the Extractor 3.0. This is one of the Trade-offs. The Extractor 3.0 gets slightly more info per tap than the Scrambler, but you have to run around to all the nodes to get it.

That's just it: I've been using the Data Scrambler 0.4 or the Data Mine Tap when I can find it, but I still get the error message. It's really wierd.
Okay... It continues to get wierd: I unloaded my Data Miner tree and reloaded it, and now it's fine. Guess it's the equivalent to specials not working in Interlock for no reason... Very strange.
