Please die a long, slow death. And have people throwing capital letters and full stops at you too.

Perhaps I looked at the wrong boards but all I saw was SWG people moaning about no longer having items decay on them. I know that if we had the same here, people would be very happy. How about it, Sakura Bandanas that no longer decay - now those would be worth 30 mil...
So just for fun, how about you post a direct link to this news? Although as far as MXO is concerned, it's almost likely that we have a different Dev team as I doubt the SWG one would have time to work on two games and expansion packs... Also, it's been stated that interlock is not going anywhere. I also remember FPS being tried out for this game and being abandoned due to the nausea it creates when fighting in interlock.

MxO and SWG have different Dev teams, and what Chuui said.
And I believe he was refering to this;
No real mention of it becoming an FPS in there. Just people jumping the gun as usual. Message Edited by ZestyO on 11-03-2005 01:28 PM

There's also the fact that around 25 of the devs from Monolith (including Erik Krebs and Andy Kaplan) are still working on the game with SOE. So yes, the entire dev team for MxO is not the same as the one for SWG.

STOP COMPAIRING MXO TO OTHER GAMES!
ITs that simple, MXO is not SWG, it has a diffrent player base, diffrent set of rules, diffrent source code. What may be implimented in one game is not going to be done in another. Did anyone who plays the other games see a pandoras box pop up in SWG or WoW?

I must admit the endless assumptions that SOE is going to turn Matrix Online into Star Wars Galaxies were old when they started, as soon as the sale was announced.
They have not become anymore feasible with age.
At the same time, everyone was certain there would be no more events (incorrect), all devs were fired (incorrect) and SOE would begin banning everyone who lloed at them funny (also incorrect).
As for the bizarre fear that everything that happens to SWG will happen to MxO just because they are owned by the same company, I remind you that Monopoly, Risk, Clue and Sorry were all developed and owned by Parker Brothers (now Hasbro). Beyond the basic materials (a board with pieces) and play style (move pieces around said board) was there any real similarity between those games? When they released Clue did they feel the need to add lead pipes and Col. Mustard to Monopoly?
In a word, No.
The same is true for MxO and SWG. Different concepts, different deveolpers, different target audience, different player base.
Different games.
Nuff Said.

Thank you Zealot for agreeing with me. SOE may be power hungry, which company isnt? But they arnt stupid and from what walrus is telling us, unlike our former 'lith team, this team actually seems to care about what is happening to us in here.

The Dev team have done some good things with Mxo to make it its own, and im sure the combat revision we are having is for the benefit of a matrix enviroment... lets not jump the gun, we already know what we are getting...

Yeah.....I
don't know how you'd think that would be possible, like they would
spread themselves that thin fixing this one and changing that one...
