Hello there!

I'd like to just take a minuite of your time to talk about a very overused, and possibly, taken-for-granted phrase; 'Gf'.
Since CR1's inception, the term Gf or Good Fight in case you didn't know, is used as a gesture of respect between two people when they are PVPing.   If you beat the person with full health, you'd say Gf, if you lost to a person with full health, you'd say Gf, if you drew, you'd say it as well.  Lately, though, alot of people have been saying it with ill intent, we can't deny it, we have all at some point said it.   Now why would people do that?  To make themselves feel good on the inside?  Or perhaps to try and humiliate the other person further? Do you think these intentions happen in PVP AND in duels or just PVP?  Along the way (Up to now) I feel it really has lost it's meaning, and I just wanted to try and arouse peoples goodsport attitude.   Next time you beat someone down, realise that it is just a video game, and shake off that bad attitude demon that stirs inside of ya's, take your loss with a pinch of salt, and show your oponent some respect, then you'll get the same back.

If people start doing that, then maybe other people will like to get more involved in the future!

Watcha think?

Now, if we can deal with "indeed', "pwnt", "gg", "lawl", and "ffs" we have a ball game!!!

I'm not a huge pvper, but I didn't realize there was a problem with "gf".  I say it after any duel and in any case of...well...a good fight.

I agree with Sphairo on this, that if more showed good sportsmanship then more people might get involved, no one likes being kicked when they are already down but alot do it to others. I've hardly ever PvPed (mainly because i'm not a 50 yet) but I've watched many a fight, and people are just getting down right spitefull towards each other it seems. lets all remember this is just a game and have fun.

heard this a lot. The 'ill intent', from what I've seen, is born out of PvP. In duels or PvP where the two opponants respect each other then the 'gf' seems to be given with good intentions.
In heated PvP however, when say, someone is serially killing one person over and over, someone manages to kill someone who generally keeps hyperjumping away, or a zerg that is killing a single person or a couple of people... Some people say gf just to humiliate or vent frustration. Personally I can't help let loose a 'lol' every now and then if someone continuously HJ's away as soon as you even look at them, but that's just me, otherwise I generally stay silent!

The subject is miss leading. I thought at first you were gonna talk about Girl Fights. In which I would image lots of pillows and other things that would get this post the death blow if I said them. I just say pudding and midgets would also be involved.
Any who after opening up the post I was sadly dooped to more internet slang.

*Disclaimer for those who cry its just a joke on the topic at hand. Take a pill or two and relax.

I don't PVP or duel much, but whenever I did I didn't just say "gf".  I would generally say something like "Man, I almost had you there, nice job!" or "Well I saw that one coming."  I wouldn't leave it as just "gf", seems too impersonal and uncaring.
