Even the sirens momarial thread got responded to.  However after reading the awr interview this issue has gona a long way up the ladder at SOE and chances are the  dev's and mods thjat post here will never be alowed to coment on it.

Ehh... somehow I doubt only they get the oppurtunities to interview people.

And I believe they do support radio's, they just don't want to give official support to one station.

if you read the AWR interview you woul know the isue has NOTHING to do with money I havent read it in a while but i rember someone from awr saing they could keep going for a long time if money was the issue.

I realy like the fact though that SOE won't comment and just let rumors fly.  A good company would stand up at this point and put the facts on the tabel.   If they wont then I'll spread my rumors.

SOE are cheap they wont help suport a station that helped them

RMC has 40 listiners tops per day so don't go there

SOE dosent want the adverage player to know whats going on.  With AWR all of us knew what was going on and it crashed the servers.  So by getting rid of AWR SOE dosent have to make the servers realy work they just need for stuff to go on in parts of mega city no one goes to

SOE realy dosen't care about us.  If they did they would respond to this thread after what 37 pages of posts asking for a responce.

OR SOE dosen't even know whats going on in the game.  Go back to last rumor if they did they would post here or in the ask the dev when the q came up.

So let the rumors fly.  I'm not a part of AWR but know many people that are and know the truth and it was already posted by AWR staff can SOE say the same?

heres a definition of suport

to agree with and give encouragement to someone or something because you want them to succeed:
My father supported the Labour Party all his life.
The majority of people in the town strongly support the plans to build a by-pass.
I think it's important to support local businesses by buying locally.

2 (US USUALLYroot for, AUSTRALIAN ENGLISHbarrack for) MAINLY UKIf you support a sports team or a sports player, you want them to win, and might show it by going to watch them play:
Which team do you support?

support   Show phonetics
noun[U]
agreement with and encouragement for an idea, group or person:
Environmental groups are fast gaining support among young people.
We've succeeded in drumming up a lot of local support for our attempt to stop the hospital being closed.
I signed a petition in support of the campaign to end the marketing of baby milk in developing countries.

supporter   Show phonetics
noun[C]
1someone who supports a particular idea, group or person:
He is one of the Prime Minister's strongest supporters within industry

many difrent ways to suport people besides money

Using those definitions of 'support' only cloud this whole arguement further...

If you support a specific football team, do you neglect other football teams? If not, then do you provide them with the same level of support right across the board?

Therefore if SOE make some official show of support for AWR, does that in-turn sign the death-warrant for any potential support offered to other radio stations? If not, then where are the boundaries?

Why does an individual support one specific football team? Personal preferance. Why do corporations support football teams? For financial reasons.

Support for an idea, group or individual. Yes, we would benefit from further support for the general idea of community radio stations - such as a links section on the main site, perhaps press releases for said stations and also fansites - however providing group/organisation specific support is a different matter because, once again, at what cost to other stations is this done?

Arguing against that point by lambasting the listener counts of stations such as RMC, as you did 2 posts up, is - quite frankly - ridiculous. The only reason AWR enjoys the _marginally_ higher listener counts than other stations (and yes, I am fully aware of how each player-controlled station performs on a regular basis - and AWR is not as far ahead as people may assume) is due to the listener base they built BECAUSE of the support they received from Monolith during the RFZ and early-AWR days, and also BECAUSE of support they have received from SOE, in terms of interviews they have been granted with key SOE/MxO personnel. No other station has received this level of support - what more do AWR want? During the Walrus interview - AWRs listener counts will spike, the counts of other stations will drop until the interview is over. Already, something as apparently small as an interview hits the efforts of so many other people behind the scenes of other stations.

Just because YOU support AWR, does not means that SOE should support them for the same reasons. That why we all have the capacity for individual opinions. The listener base of AWR does not make up the bulk of the MxO community nor do the posts in this thread - which is not 37 pages of support, rather 37 pages of repeated posts by mostly the same people, with some arguements against thrown in for good measure.

You cannot compare individual support to corporate support.

I have said previously within this thread that I am not anti-AWR (as most ppl may assume an owner of a 'rival' station would be) and am very much grateful for the trail they blazed and the contribution they made - however that contribution was no greater, in my view, than that of websites such as Rumbaar - or of other stations, it just so happened that AWR were thrown a few more bones and opportunities.

At least try to consider some of the reasons why SOE might not want to provide a single station with official support before claiming conspiracy.
