One I didn't make, actually! I like the gang of guys that dresses in bright green, kind of like poisonous frogs. I think their leader even has a pierced nose or something. :j I always forget their name, though.

   Ah.  Several of the Zion missions were about Veil and her escape, but they never said who helped free her (other than some Cypherite traitors in Zion).

 

   At one point she was in a meeting with someone powerful (the Merovingian?).  But by the time I got there her signal, and the signal of the person she was meeting with, vanished.  And my Operator said there was something familiar about their disappearance.  Makes me wonder if the Effectuator had something to do with that.

   It's the audio version of Doctor Crucic's Medical Journal, an item that was available only in the Merovingian 1.3 critical mission set.  Crucic himself was in that mission set too, again in the Merovingian ones.

 

   This is why there should be more inter-organizational talk about what happens during critical missions.  Not everyone gets the same information or items.  For example, in the 1.3 missions, details of Morpheus' past were split between the three organizations.  Zion got his early background, the Machines learned about one of the individuals that Morpheus thought was the One, and the Merovingian missions had information about Morpheus' recovery in a construct.

   Maybe, but it's more likely that it's an old sound effect from the time when he was deleted.  In fact, all those sound effects look like they're from previous events.

   Were Flood and Gray helping each other in seeking Veil in the Merovingian missions?  Because that's what he and Tyndall were doing in the Zion missions.  At one point my Operator forwarded information to both Tyndall and Gray.

   Yet I wouldn't be surprised if they asked the Merovingian for help in finding Veil.  From your response, I'm guessing that they didn't ask him for help.

   It seems the Machines see the Cypherites as a system of control.  This is from a document that was found during the Hunt for Morpheus event.


   First Agent: They want to awaken others.
   Second Agent: It is the agreement.
   First Agent: With time, the Matrix will be stressed. It could fail.
   Second Agent: A system of control is needed. One moment... A decision has been made: Do not interfere with the masked humans.

  Since a ballista is a large crossbow-like weapon, and a howitzer is a cannon, I'd bet on the howitzer.

   Player events existed before the transition.  In fact, they were around as far back as beta.  They're events that are created and run by the players, like parties, tournaments, etc.

   I remember one critical mission where an NPC said something like (this is not an exact quote) "I know the Trainman!  You can't threaten me!"  It was either a Machine or Merovingian mission.

 

   In one Zion critical mission, an NPC said (and unlike before, this is an exact quote) "Yed, you crackhead!  You're gonna get us all sent back to the Trainman!  Shut the hell up!"

 

   Invalesco had some kind of deal with the Trainman, according to one of the NPCs that helped players track him down towards the end of Nightfall.

 

   And according to his memoirs during the Death of the Destroyer event, the Trainman helped the Assassin escape into the Matrix.

 

   That's all the references I know of.  So far he has yet to actually appear in-game.  There are some who claimed that he appeared either towards the end of beta, or during the early months of the live game.  But I have seen no evidence of this.

   There's something like this in one of the Zion missions.  By the time I found the computer I'd reached the "leave the area now" stage of the mission, so I couldn't leave, load up my Hacker ability, come back, and hack the computer.  So I missed out on what information might have been held there.

 

   This is another reason why I think we should have a mission archive simulation in the game.  We could replay old missions and find anything we might have missed.

   Did you just search the building, or did you go into the Exile hideout itself?  As I recall, the researcher is in the Exile hideout.  I believe he's near the boss.

  Someone made a similar post in the "ask a dev" thread.  They basically said that, if swords were implemented, and if they were limited to free fire melee, then people would expect to use them in interlock as well.

   For those asking about how Flash Traffic is broken, I recall numerous people stating that Flash Traffic never worked for them.  I always assumed they weren't using Flash Traffic because of this.

   The Fly Virus is just the swarm of flies you get when you're hit with the Fly Virus (which you can see when you do the Corrupted quest in Bathary).  The Fly Storm is the special effect that occurred over the Assassin's copied bodies when they died in-game (I only know this from a screenshot I saw that was taken shortly after one of the copies died).  It's a small green cloud floating about you, with miniature green lightning and dead flies falling from it.

   I found the Assassin chase we had to be a lot of fun.  Especially when he ran into Uriah, where he had a couple thousand potential hiding places.

   That game ruled.  There's a cheat where you could modify all sorts of stuff, like your jumping power and the effect of gravity on you.  You could jump incredibly high, but when you started to come down, the game would think you were falling into a pit, and you'd automatically die. XD

  Seeing as each organization should have at least one more critical mission this chapter, I believe that either the key is fake, or one of the other organizations will retrieve the key from Zion.

Even if it's real and Zion keeps it, I don't trust the General. He could be lying about what's in the case.

Even if he isn't lying, I feel it will spell bad news for Zion.

Just give the case back to the Machines.
