This is the best idea i've heard in a while.  I was talking with someone the other day about doing this on Syntax since it's the most populated right now.  I was able to get full mission teams of lowbies and we had a blast! The Vector twist on this makes it an even better idea.  I have a lvl 12 there now so if everyone's up for it let's reroll!

I hear you there, but you would still have your main available when you want to run as a 50.  I think the OP is saying let's all get our game-on in one place (along with the new peeps who are just starting) and maybe we can have some fun as low levels.  Our 50's are still available on our respective servers.  I don't think SOE is going to help us on this as far as a merge or /copychar.  The merge thread grew to over 400 posts, so gathering on one server will probably be up to us if it will ever happen.

no need to rush to 50 as it would be all about gaming and player rp....

Since we won't be getting storyteller tools, is it possible to maybe submit event ideas and have admin/dev support help us out with certain parts of the event that require enemy spawns or guest appearances by LE characters?  (mainly for admin/dev to respond, but feel free to share your thoughts)

If there is absolutely no chance of us getting a dev or a small scale events team (interns or former devs), then I'd agree that a price cut would be in order.  Maybe that would get more new players to stick around longer than the trial, and at least we can have populated servers.

You're probably right on this, as I've never really been in the RP loop. Just knowing that the players were doing things helped keep the buzz alive on Recursion. 

Believe me, I am the last person to want to leave, I love this game, I adore the community, its just the aformentioned issues I will have if there is no change.

That's your right as a paying subscriber and I hope SOE, WB, or whoever will address those issues soon.

To be honest, I hate all of the Other MMO's out there, I am not an elfy, galactic space type person, I prefer MXO because of the grittiness, I am not interested in COH or COV because I'm not interested in superhero/villain cliche, I stay with MXO because of the atmosphere, the RP, the Community, and I really will need some form of developers to be the foundation for me staying.

These seem like pretty good reasons to stick around regardless, however I understand having storyline foundation to base your RP on.  Hopefully those that make the decisions will get this.

There is only so much we RPers can do. We have no story tools, we barely have any tools. And it will be a matter of time before the tools we do have run thin and our ideas begin to lessen. We need some form of content, that is all I am saying and we need someone to give it to us.

I agree with the bolded here and hope we do get some form of content.  However, I do feel that what we have now is better than nothing.

 

 

You're only level 8 so just keep grinding missions and raiding neighborhood gangs.  Get a team going with players in your level range as it makes the grind go faster.  Take stuff you don't need and sell to vendors.  As you level you'll get more $ on missions and kills.  Look for the 3 chevron gang members when farming as they usually will drop more $.  You can also tap data nodes in Richland while missioning and farming.  It takes a little time but soon you'll have more info than you need.

I really would like some reasoning from SOE as to why this is the case.  People should be able to see us on that list of games.  Did we do something wrong?  Legal Issues?  Talk to me.

I just realized that the link points to the station store (which i've never been to) and is promoting other procucts such as clothes and strategy guides related to the various games.  If MXO doesn't have any of this to offer then OK.  In reference to the licensing, does anyone know if SWG is owned by SOE or licensed?  If they are licensed as well, how are they included in the store list?.  When you click the link it says something like "no products available" (or something like that).  So they have no products to offer, but they still get listed?  We should at least be listed and get the "no products availabe" screen.  It's all about giving the game an opportunity to be seen by those who don't know about it, even if there is nothing to sell.  It's like we exist on some island away from the rest of the games on the staion pass.  As far as WB, i just can't see them not wanting to see their game bringing in new players as it helps to keep the entire Matrix Franchise alive and relevant.  Maybe SOE is not requesting anything from WB on the game's behalf?

imho, it's in our hands. Not some unknown corporate peeps in SOE. If they were going to pull the plug, it would have happened already. So, I agree with what you/we all want - I just think we should go about getting it differently, as above;

Well said and I would like to call attention once again to the bolded statements.  Everyone who has ever played this game, and still ventures to the forums, must resub immediately! New players jack in and give it a try!  We must pack the servers and force Sony to not ignore this game.  MXO can't die on our watch.

MXO will return.  All companies involved are holding onto the IP rights, so no player servers.  It's been put in everyone's back pocket.  When the new movie or trilogy comes out, they'll be ready to cash in.  Hopefully, the Bros (or whomever) can make a quality flick to spark the interest back.  

What?  It could happen! Look how long the second Star Wars Trilogy took to be produced.  Don't give up on the franchise.  It's over...for now.

Yea, but it'd be kinda cool if LARP was incorporated into the ARG.  I mean throughout the Matrix movies, Animatrix and MxO, you had characters and players interacting with one another and their enviorment.

I'll check out Everquest II during the trial period to pass some time, but yea you're right about advertising.  It's the one thing I never understood about how this game was operated.  So many low cost social marketing networks they could've used.  Shame.

I think it kicks in after MXO's closure but I could be wrong.

I don't have the staion launcher so maybe that's the key to get the free trial? Dev/Admin clarification?

Both of my accts now can not get past Authenticating screen on launcher.  I was able to log in earlier but with no abilities and incorrect levels.  Are the servers still being updated and is anyone having this issue?
