Joe Torre has ended a incredible era in Ny he decilined a 1 year offer offer wich would have increased with incentives. in his terms "he thought he thought it was a insult to him" in wich i agree for what he did for the Yankees. has made the playoffs in every year exept 97 and of course has won 4 world series 96 98 99 and 2000 he is also the second winningst coach all time with one team. there have always been some questionable moves Torre has made in the last 4 years but i still always had respect for him. i will deffintly miss him as the coach as the yankees but i will still root for torre to what ever he decides to do.

Apple is going to launch its newest operating system 10.5 nick name leapord tommorw at 6pm. it seems to be a pretty nice operating system and a new finder with the finder it even has the cover flow feature from itunes to vew apps and docks. the key features i think is pretty impressive is time machine a back up program that allows your hard drive to be backed up then if you have something wrong happen let say you accidently delete a program or something is wrong with certaint setings you can go back to recover that program or remove it to make sure the seetings are right. here is a link to the feature http://www.apple.com/macosx/feature...memachine.html. The big news that came out yesterday wasnt suposed to be announced till this coming weeks CES show but Warner officaily announced that as of may they will be Blu ray only. now with blu ray controlling 70 percent of the market share this leaves Toshiba/HD-Dvd in a desperate situation as of now they only have paramount universal and new line is still undecided but concediring new line and Warner are part of time warner i would not be suprise for New line to be announcing blu ray only. im personaly glad that this war is pretty much over i cant wait to finaly get the matrix Trillogy on blu ray ill be buying that the first day it comes out.

I had goten one of these as a chrsitmas gift over the holidays and i gotta say this is the best media player out. granted its not as big as the ipod classic. but the other features it has such as Wifi capabilties such as a full web browser Itunes music store you can purchase songs directly from the Ipod touch and it will dl the songs you buy to your computer the next time you sync and also it has YouTube. There has also been 3rd party hacking wich alows the ipod and iphone to be much more and have a whole bunch of apps you pretty much got a pda with the other 3rd party aps for example i have some of the iphone apps such as the mail google maps and weather stocks and then i also got a really cool ebook reader wich is nice reading ebooks on the ipod. If your looking to get a ipod and looking to have theat other stuff the ipod touch is really worth the money i think i got the 8 gig version the next one up is 16
anyway i think this is probaly one of the best gadget s that apples come out and with a "offical" sdk kit coming out between macworld wich is tuesday or sime time in feburary there will be tones of more aps to help make this better.

Warner annouced its upcoming catalog For 08 Today for blu ray and Dvd With some major titles. wich include Batman begins wich will have all the same features for the HD/DVD version and will alos plan to relase the anthology set that was on DVD to blu ray as well. V For Vendetta and Twister was also announced and The wizard of oz will make its HD debut on blu ray as well. and finally The ultamite Matrix trillogy the same HD Version will be hittin the shelfs this year. I will be geting The batman antholgy as i dont have the orignal batman movies on dvd yet and the matrix Trillogy as well

i came across a article from The A.P last night that The WGA and the AMPTPT have worked out a Tenative agreement friday involving there key agreement over internet revenue. With this agreement out of the way many of the people close to this deal think they can get something done this week. good news to hear The writers deffintly deserve a better deal and now i wonder what happens to shows that have already started such as Heroes and The office i wonder will they plan to film and write a few more episodes or just wait till next season at this point.

A breakthrough in contract talks has been reached between the Alliance of Motion Picture andTelevision

Producers (AMPTP) and the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and could lead to a tentative deal as early as next week, reports The Associated Press.

The two sides breached the gap Friday on the thorniest issues, those concerning compensation for projects distributed via the Internet. Significant progress has reportedly been made and a deal might be announced within a week.

Major points of contention include how much and when writers are paid for projects delivered online after they've been broadcast on TV

The studios have been insisting that programs be streamed online for a certain period, deemed promotional, during which writers would forgo residuals. When payment kicked in, the companies sought to limit it to a flat $1,200 fee, while the guild wanted a percentage of a distributor's revenue.

Although work remains to be done on elements of the agreement, prospects for a deal appeared solid. The tentative agreement would have to be approved by a majority of guild members

Demo Xbox 360 dies from the infamous three red lights

One of Microsoft's demonstration Xbox 360 consoles has succumbed, rather publicly, to the infamous 'Red Ring of Death' in the company's XNA area at the Game Developers Conference.

The machine, videoed by BBC technology editor Darren Waters, has clearly developed problems the outcome of which will be familiar to a large number of owners of the console - three red lights surrounding the unit's power button.

Writing on the BBC's tech blog dot.life Waters references the hardware failure problem which could cost Microsoft up to USD 1 billion to deal with.

"Microsoft wants consumers to believe that its problems with the Xbox 360 console in terms of hardware failure are over. But wandering through the Game Developers Conference halls and it's clear that the problem persists," he says.

"On Microsoft's own stand at the show one of the demo consoles has a rather familiar problem - the red ring of death. There's no way of knowing if this particular console was manufactured before or after Microsoft identified the problems with the machines.

"But at the very least it's embarrassing for the company that its own stock of demo machines is still susceptible to the problem."

Well The Most Highley anticipated game for the wii since the wii hit the market is Coming out tommorow Super Smash brother's Brawl. From what i have read in terms of reviews this game is a hit IGN and Gamepot gave this game 9.5/10. The list of Fighters from this game seem to be pretty impressive With all the mario cast to Samus, kirby, pickachu and a few other pokemon to Solid Snake. (yes he is in this game) the cast is pretty huge 30 something fighters i belive and plenty of gaming modes up to 4 players, online mode, create a level and some other mini games in there as well. Im planing on picking this up tommorw and cant wait to play it ill post my personal thoughts about it some time later tommorow .

Well baseball has finally started this year the seasons a few games under way and it seems to be a pretty interesting year. There have been alot of coaching changes this year and some big names move with Detroit getting Cabera and Dontrel Willis and coaching changes Yankees finally cut ties with joe Torre who is now with the Dodgers and Joe Girradi is coach of the yankees, they should be a intresting team I got my AL MVP prediction right last year with A-rod geting it and now with not having weather he will opt out of his contract and all that hovering around him this year i think he could be in the front line again. that said i think my prediction for a world Series this year is The yankees and in the NL i think its a toss up between the mets and cubs.
