 I disagree.... Interlocked MA is dead, interlocked guman might have enough DR and RCT to survive.  Anyway in the current system if i am interlocked with 2 shooters shooting me I'll prolly die... nothing much has changed.

  why do i care if you give them hyper jump? I have hyper speed which, when combined with a nice pair of shoes means i can run away from the agent without trying very hard.  Give them a movement speed tied to yours (the target) or 125% and level 40 hyperjump.  Only the very best could outrun an agent.  Make it tough.


 


  Next point.  We should not give a new player a whole tree to play with in interlock.  Learning what skills do what and which to use when is learnt as we acquire them.  That many options would confuse.  But make a video as we enter the dojo of 2 RSI's (as in game. like in player videos) fighting at level 50.  Kung Fu verses Aikido or something, as a taster of where you will finish.  "For now you can only be given simple fighting skills as our resources our limited, as you become more experienced you will be able to use better skills and become a more potent force,"


 


  No hacking tutorial, it is self explanatory. 


 Jump program - a definite...failure..... 'You may try again when you are stronger...'


 That is all i have.  And better clothes to start - cause before we start hunting buffs we should look less lame.

   Men and women follow those they can respect.  You are unlikely to gain people on the basis of a gimmic. People are interested in the FA cause of their reputation. Jokerz are well known for being efficient killers.
 

   Why do you think anyone is going to join a nothing crew in a nothing faction on the basis of it being an all female RSI crew?  I would chose people i respect and/or people i know in game over a bunch of random RSI's anytime.  Is that not reasonable?

    What i want is an explanation of why I (as a female RSI) would want to be in his crew and faction?  Is it helpful to noobs?  Are there 50's happy to power level? Is there something that his lesser known un proven crew is gonna offer me that i couldn't get at a bigger more successful one?  Is it a crew of friends or just random female RSI's?  Are they all gonna be playing at roughly the same time?  No it isn't easy to establish a crew and sometimes i feel people do it without thinking through what they are doing.  A whole bunch of factions are recruiting so it is a competetive market and to me just saying all female crew is not enough of a hook to get me.  Aims?  Ganking preferences? All the stuff that affects how he expects the crew to act.  That is the info required.

First off any crew that asks for any female RSi's to join it's cause ain't sounding picky.  So yeah i figure i would be accepted - if not then never mind. But a starting crew without the kind of reputation and following of FA tends to want people more than it wants to be selective - especially of higher levels like myself.

If you are looking for a faction and only want more detailled information about this one, I apologize for assuming a rather hostile background of your post. It would be easier if you didn't write things like "I
have not heard of any of you and that is never a good sign" though...

I admit, all the points you mentioned should be included in a recruitment post and there is, of course, nothing wrong with asking about these things. But to me, it looks as if you didn't ask out of curiosity but solely to critisize SFC's post and crew. Again, I apologize if this was not the case...








  I was asking these questions for myself, and for anyone reading this thread in the hope of useful info about the guy and crew they are being asked to join.  If i sounded disdainful it was for the manner of the thread - not the idea. I am happy with that and think it is a nice catch but i feel like the leader expected people to join just because of that and i expect more from a recruitment thread than that - a website is great but if that is too much then put all relevant info here.  And i said 'never heard of you' for a reason - if i haven't then he prolly doesn't play at the same times as me and if he does and i ain't never seen then we obviously have different motivations/ways of playing.  Do you see?


  I would not start a crew as lightly as i feel he has. I think such a thing needs commitment and time to be good.  Look at the effort others have put in.  Me? I would join either a reputable faction or one that i knew people in.  Till then It's being the last of a rag tag bunch of individuals.

 RIfles are a mainly non interlock class!  Three shot burst does really nasty damage both in and out plus butt smash is a way of withdrawing with a much higher success rate. PLus rifles have sniper.

All I know is that as a hacker I usually die in interlock pretty quick.  But then I am always on withdraw - so not really trying to stay in.

 I.e it costs you to make the vaiable frags and also to make the code itself.... it is simply collating the costs.

Yeah, cause there's a huge market for MMORPGs where the only options you have are using MAs and shooting.. maybe now and then auto-hacking a PC (no, they wouldn't get you to actually hack one as you'd do in RL). Or yeah, they could have the driving into the game, as it'd probably be easy to have a gameplay that doesn't turn it into a GTA and doesn't seem too limited. And yeah, WE WANT MELEE! It can't be that hard to do that.

Now, sorry if I was a bit harsh, but the fact is, regardless of how much some of us would love a game, MMORPG or not, that allowed us to create a character of our own and "live" it the way we'd see a character live inside the environment we see in the movies, doing such a thing would be difficult by itself. Then, marketing said concept in order to pull as much people as they wanted would be even harder. So they did what was more logic - transpose the world of the Matrix into a MMORPG, as the Matrix itself is a MMO environment. Then, they had to make a few compromises to be able to adapt the concepts from the movies to concepts that would appeal to the MMORPGers. Because, regardless of how much anyone wants to make a work of art, in the RW, to get a game in the market, it has to be a selling concept.

And yeah, as I implied above, some concepts are a bit harder to implement than you'd think.. at least if you want to do it right.

  Put simply. I made an everyman char.

  In CR1 I had every tree (bar doctor) levelled to the max (or maybe 48ish).  I loved playing around with loadouts and trees etc etc.  In order to preserve this I gave my initial stats of

  I think thats it as it appears in the bonus box.  I am coming to the realisation that whilst I can use all my trees... I suck at all of them to a fair degree.  Especially MA - I simply don't do enough damage (I'm aikido) when I do hit.  I suspect a lot of my failings are due to stats as much (if not more) then technique.  I still have my first stat hack (the CR1 stat hack they gave out.... remember??!!) so thoughts and examples of your own if you would....

I like it.


  But all I know for sure is that as MA I really enjoy 1 on 1. and usually die in multi on 1 before I can get a kill. States have been induced on me by a level 10 shooting at me from outside interlock, whilst the level 50 fighting me kills me with state requiring specials (needless to say i returned and ganked the 10 - but t'was very aggravating.
