I had heard that all of Richland would have to be re-packaged to get rid of the invisible wall there. Or something like that.

ah, rebundle, thats the word I was looking for! Thanks Gitano! With that thread about floating objects and the Dev's stating that we should /bug any object we see like that, I'm hoping that Richland will get a rebundle sometime. Probably not any time soon tho'

People were just mentioning that many SoE games reward their player base with (mainly rubbish, imo) items for every certain set period of time that they stay with the game. They were saying that MxO doesn't have that. While I agree that you shouldn't need incentives to carry on if you like the game your playing, I can't say that these people don't have a point though, why other games and not MxO?
I've even made a few suggestions (previously in this thread) of what could be done if they ever decided to implement it but I'm not getting my hopes up.

I tried all the ones you have mentioned on Live Dr. The all worked on the first try for me.
Remeber if you have a sequence currently running on you a second one wont spawn. So for example the Agent spawns or the Neighborhood zomebie spawns will prevent the pumpkin ones from appearing even though you activated it. I am not saying this was your case but just an FYI.

No, your talking about said ability which was all you wrote about, nothing about Vet rewards in that post which was what the thread is about, and calling someone a hypocrit for providing an honest answer in relation to the Vet reward 'joke' and not in relation to the HJ-B or Mobius abilities, was an invitation for anyone to raise their voice as these a forums are for all of us paying subcribers to submit our views. I'm sure quite a few 'Vets' said the same thing before the trials gave out their special abilities. This is why 'Vet' rewards should be something new and why the trial rewards should've been something special to trialees only.
Don't belittle the trial incentive program. It's the same as anything other product; "try new Suds dish detergent, and we'll give you our Sparkly rinse agent free!" They want to entice new customers, but if you're down to a skeleton crew of game developers, how do you create new things for people that will do that job? Why invent something new, when you already have something available that was used in the same way?
And don't confuse what we're discussing here with Veteran Rewards. That's a whole different animal. This whole thread is about veteran rewards, it's how this debate started when Neoteny suggested the Verdigris shirt and what I'm trying to steer it back to as two threads about Mobius and HJ-B and if they should have been given away is a bit excessive...

Your argument has nothing to do with this and is best left to the other thread.
Lol, the exclusive items lost their exclusiveness with the trials. Beta clothing and the Verdigiris and Burning Eye Trench are still exclusive items and shouldn't be given out. You're having a go at him for having the same response as anyone would have with true exclusive items. Mobius and HJ-B aren't exclusive and hadn't been since they were given out with the new trials. They were exclusive to those people who pre-ordered, were there during the DotD event, or decided to play the game on a trial. How is that exclusivity any different than the exclusivity for items awarded to people who submitted the most bug reports, subscribed during Beta, or attended a special out-of-game function? Face it, the only reason you are arguing with me on this is because you are on the receiving end of this deal.
So exclusive to everyone apart from those who subscribed within a certain time frame through no fault of their own... come on.
And no that's not the reason why I'm arguing, I'm arguing because you're being petty and because it was unfair to those that did subscribe between it all. I've already said that my account was credited with the abilities because I signed up for the early trials, but I didn't get the abilities, I didn't even know I was supposed to get them.
Finally if marketing decided to give away translocation programs or the awakened gear directly to new trial players as an incentive then I would again argue for the chance for those people who weren't here for the transition to get them despite the fact I got a program from an event.

That doesn't have the slightest thing to do with my calling him a hypocrit, and you know it. Let me spell it all out, since it seems that, in this case, the irony of his hypocrisy was lost on you. - One guy jokes that the first vet award will be some specific item that had to be earned through a specific requirement.
- Another guy, who owns the item referred to in the joke by doing what was necessary to get it, states that they shouldn't use it in the manner it was being joked about.
- The irony of this is, this same guy wanted (and got, I might add) veteran abilities that he didn't earn by doing what was originally necessary to get them.
I just felt it was my right to point this out. Your semantics of whether something is considered a veteran award or not has no place here. No, it does have everything to do with it. You're pissed off because 'Veteran' abilities or whatever are now being given out due to the fact that marketing gave them to new subscribers. Those caught unfairly in the middle were just in their complaints. The new players weren't 'Vets' or 'Beta' players, thus negating the status of the abilities. Nowhere has it been said that the shirt Havocide has is being given away so his reaction would naturally be the same as 'Vet's had when their oh so special abilities started getting given out with new accounts. If it was and then he said 'I hope not' that would have made him a hypocrit. The shirt is not being given away like Mobius or HJ-B, Beta clothing is not being given away like Mobius or HJ-B so his reaction is quite appropriately the same as anyone with Beta clothing if they were to become Veteran rewards.

With Neo dead and no longer a systemic need for a 'One' the system has no need to continue to maintain upgraded Agents when pre-upgraded versions will do just fine. The only problem I had whilst reading through some of the previous posts was, ok, mission agents can be a low enough level to fight against for a minute or so as you have one spawn per mission member still in the area (Although the game system does want you out of the room ASAP) but if you have lower level restricted area Agents they only spawn on each operative independantly even if they are in a mission group. Even a lvl 70-100(?) agent could get beaten by 6 decent operatives. Agents are supposed to bring up an emotional response, one that tell you that if you do not run, you will die. If there was a way to confuse the Agent in IL long enough for you to withdraw and escape, then IL with one would be more viable. On the other hand, I would like to see operatives last a couple of rounds longer, one on one, with an Agent.

I liked the idea about adding a chevron for every year you've subbed in total... but the problem is you'll get quite a few people running around as triple chevrons and sooner or later everyone will get them... There are perhaps 4 possible things that can be used as vet rewards; Clothing (with or without buffs) Weapons (although I'd prefer Org based reward weapons for Zion, EPN, Merv and Cyph) Special FX's (Not one given out by archive award, something new. Not perma but an extended timer, say 5 mins or so...) or finally an ability like a perma Shadow pill (although not one of the current shadow moves) Possibly the easiest two of these are; Clothing, but unless you get new models then they'll just be reskinned clothes, and if buffed give higher buffs per year starting at 22 in all to keep in line with the current scaled shirts then the next year you get another shirt or something with 25 in all then the year after, another shirt with 28 etc... Perhaps different in looks too... /shrug Special FX's, yeah Rarebit would have to design a new FX per each year (Sparkly Pink Aura FTW! ) but none of them stack with each other else you'll have someone like HT with like 6 FX's on at the same time At least you can activate any of them you want for 5 mins or so.

If you want to try to kill Syntaxians and Recursionites, roll a Character on each. It's a lot simpler and less of a hassle then merging servers.

From what I've seen and experienced with SWG's vet rewards and now this one is that most of the 'rewards' are just decorations or items that are only special in their appearance nothing too game breaking for non-vets. MxO doesn't have the system for vanity. FX's are gained by Archives, perps by way of rewards and they don't affect combat too much (Yeah I know about upgrade deleting...) We have no player housing (or hovercraft) to decorate etc... and MxO isn't about redpills and their pets... (But I can have my Override Bit) so what would people suggest for Vet rewards?

The ingame Rarebit is actually female if I am not mistaken, so I am sure he knows that some of it needs fixing, there is a thread here that rarebit himself started where he asked people to report the clothing. Of the 60+ posts I would say about 3 or 4 of them were reporting female clothing. Which includes DarkHawk's own post if I'm not mistaken....

There is one just across the road from the Uriah SW Hardline.
On my first time I played the game, I headed down that road all the way to the enterance to the Mars industrial, but as there was no indecation to head in there a year ago, I jumped on to the road and followed it round and found myself in Mara C. Others could also make ther way to Tabor W from there, I wonder if there are plans to add a few more 'pointers' to the tutorial run to complete it. The way I see it, new players already know what the collector symbol is after having to go talk to quite a few of them already. So when walking down the road pointed out, they'd see the symbol of the new collector (assuming they'd turned on their minimap) and venture toward it...

Hmmm.... 60 days /play time... or 3 years for my account...
Account time I'd agree with but it should be (supposing that they actually do it) account time from the time they start the rewards else a lot of people would get a stack of rewards the moment they're implemented.
I know a lot of people especially those who've been here for a while would think it's unfair, but it'd mean the Dev's have to create as many rewards as there have been iterations of the certain time passing for those who've been here from the start, so if they do a 3 or 6 month thing then that's quite a few rewards straight from the get go.
Perhaps a super special item for those who've been here since beta to make up for it... /shrug just an idea but I think the Dev's have got a lots of things on their to do list and Vet rewards probably wont rank very high at all....

Although it looks like Monolith were planning on having expansions and having the software supporting it if the Dev's don't know exactly how they were going to implement it with the hard coded engine then it'd be very risky. A test server would be nice though. Regarding the adverts, apparently according to Virrago there is literally months worth of red tape to go through to even get approval from WB for a Character image for an advert then it has to be approved as an appropriate image. I don't see why a random character would be so hard to use as a recognisable image for MxO, unless SoE are required to go to Monolith for approval too...

I got my shades then started farming Pills... I saw Barebones in the lift on lvl 4 then he disappeared. Probably best to check around all of lvl4 and the levels either side, just in case he's gone wandering... Oh that was Syntax BTW... the Vector spawns may well be broken...

*Sniff* No Euro love... Unfortunately
I'd love to visit across the pond again
Think of the benefits of coming to the UK...
You'll get to see Heathrow's brand new Terminal 5 for 5-6 hours while they attempt to locate your luggage... You'll be able to drive on the left hand side of the roads and get beeped at if you do anything slightly wrong in the civilian law of the roads... You'll be able to use the strong £ sterling currency... although you probably won't have much of it... You'll be able to wear your unused woolly jumper for a reason... Umbrella will be something other than a word in Rihanna's song... You'll be able to ride on a big red bus or a bendy bus and try to avoid cyclists... You can travel anywhere in England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland in a day... You can visit one of thousands of Fish and Chip shops located all around the country... You can visit one of thousands of Pubs located all around the country... You'll meet fascinating Londoners, Brummies, Liverpudliens, Geordies, Irish, Scottish, Northerners, Southerners and many more... even the Welsh... You'll be educated on our Government and election system whether you want to or not as it'll be rammed into your head from every billboard and News program going...
The possiblities are endless... and if you don't like the UK well... France is a train journey under a few thousand feet of water and bedrock... there may be some stuff to do there too...

Reasons for Server Merge
- LE focus and quality will increase as there will be more Liaison Officers available to plan and help each other out playing secondary roles and such.
- Opens a server to be used as a test server for QA. This means that huge changes to the game (such as Org Abilities and possibly even new ability trees) could be revisted and tweaked so that they could be included in the game.
I am leaving out the "Increased population at Live Events" reason, because that cuts both ways, and cancels itself out. Some would prefer more people at LE's, some less. While I'm against the merge, I won't try to convince you as my arguments have already been presented in your post, and if they haven't convinced you then my repeating them simply won't change your mind. However, there are a few things I'd like to address.
- LE's focus and quality could increase as stated but that is by no means certain. It may mean that more liaisons will be happy to take some unannounced time off because there are some more liaisons to do their job while they are gone. This leaves a larger org to liaison percentage. Although it can be debated on whether this is actually a good or bad thing.
- A server merge doesn't guarantee that the extra server will be used for a test server at all, it may even be taken for use in another game.
- Increased population at live events isn't simply down to players preference of numbers, more people usually means a lot more lag, not to mention a lot more spammers and idiots trying to steal the limelight to deal with by Rarebit and ourselves.
