Here we go:

The "equipped" items work as the normal slots currently do.
The "Hide" check-boxes when ticked will hide that entire slot from displaying... You can see the slots... but the items don't appear in game.
The "Appearance" items override visual appearance only. so if you place a buffed item in the appearance slots and have no coresponding equipped item (like the shirt slot is shown) you will still not get the buffs

The added upside to this is you get 1 more slot of storage per clothing item type

So in this case all items apply buffs except the shirt, but the RSI will still appear to wear a shirt and the roccawear outerwear will override the appearance of whatever outerwear is currently applied.

Given the above settings if the outerwear slot was set to hide (tick the box) that would hide the outerwear completely but leave the buffs applied.

And ZOMG! this is an OLD screenie... taken during the start of blue-sky.

This would breathe new-life into all the existing clothing... I'd sure as heck be wearing more event clothing if I could have my regular PvP buffs... The Smith virus T-shirt has a very nice black... as does the sharpshooter shirt.

I'm thinking that at least an early implementation would have no macro option for appearance, as the whole point of macro'ed clothing is to change the buffs. you'd have to drag-&-drop appearance... that or  a new command purely for loading appearance slots. That would make it much easier than modding the existing command to do all the extra checking. the new command should only work on clothing and only load that item into the appropriate appearance slot.

As for the hotbar.Players already can't hotkey to half the hotbars and can't hotkey change the bottom hotbar. Clothing activated from the hotbar should load in the "equipped" slots only. The basic idea is that you have your standard "outfit"and load/swap the buffs underneath. That or hotbar clothing could be loaded into appearance slots via right-click options.

If it makes you feel any better I just finished restoring our financial system from back up... I just did a data import that was meant to be an export... so I overwrote the existing good data (12 years of accounts and sales data) with the bad backup data (the words "some stuff goes here ;P"... so yeah I just took our whole company down nationally.

On the upside... the database was much smaller

Here is the pseudo-code of how that function performs:

I've followed the code the effectuator provided as well but can't get a readable answer.

Also the link I posted earlier in this thread for my decoder is working with the above code, and the bug with the copy result to clipboard button is fixed finally. I'm such a spaz sometimes.

Basicly the code says:

The machine's #1 goal is survival.

To survive the machines use a form of fusion, combined with the energy from the pods.

Fusion reactions turn lighter atoms (like hydrogen and helium) in to heavier ones (like oxygen, carbon and metals)

There is already an abundance of oxygen on the planet that was not used due to plant and human life being mostly killed off.

The ocean produces oxygen due to various organisms that get their energy from chemicals in ocean floor volcanic vents and other nutrients... as well as many bacterias.

These alone would probably not produce enough oxygen to cover usage requirements for the bluepills and foetus fields.

So you think perhaps the machines produce oxygen and pipe it to the humans in their control. However oxygen would need to be piped to each foetus pod. Pipes get blocked, rust, corrode or otherwise deteriorate. The best use of the machine's time would be to produce oxygen, cool it (so it is heavy and stays near the ground longer before disipating) and blow it out over the fields in low concentrations (high concentrations kill bio-organisms and corrode metals and plastics). Zion has it's own water and air processing machinery (most likely powered by geo-thermal energy from the earth's core).

Oh, by the way... the sky is blackened right around the globe. "The second renaisance" from the animatrix tells us this. There are low levels of light, enough to support the organic life I mentioned earlier, but not enough for the machines' solar energy requirements. Also there are many sources of artificial light in and around the machines' and their constructions which could support organic life (like in "the bread feast" story mentioned earlier)

Fowkes is correct. The One is given the task of selecting a small number of men and women to survive the purge of Zion. They restart the human colonization of Zion. Having Zion and humans that are intent on awakening those that reject the simulation, gives the humans that reject the Matrix a focal point. They are collected and removed from the Matrix, instead of rejecting the program and having to stay around, causing system instability.

Think of it like Microsoft Windows. Zion is the "recycle bin". The humans (cunningly guided by the machines) that are free, scour and collect humans that reject the Matrix, like a disk cleaning program. When Zion is "full" the machines empty it. This is only true for extreme cases that the machines can not control with agents and the like.

As for the copying of Smith. He said it himself (paraphased) "You died. I killed you. But then something happened, you killed me. I knew I was meant to return to the source, but I couldn't." ... "some part of you copied over to me, something overwritten." This shows that when (a supposedly dead) Neo killed Agent Smith (who's primary purpose was to exterminate redpills) he had a logic glitch (being killed by a killed yet still-alive RSI would produce something like a divide-by-zero error) and it is possible that part of Neo's code corrupted Smith's (maybe when he was torn apart his "one instance only" code broke due to being in multiple fragments) allowing him to replicate before death instead of after. It makes sense that this is the bit of Smith's code that was damaged as he still required a host to overwrite/occupy (becoming the virus he so despised in the first movie) like all agents.

It is recognised that the point at which Neo killed Smith is when Smith went from relatively normal agent (he seemed more emotional than other Agents), to the crazed multiplying machine.

Yes you both bring up good points, and I admit my arguement/complaint is sort of bsed in some things as it was most scornfully pointed out by some of the posters here. I appreciate you not criticizing me on my opinion. The only thing I wish to say is that for them to contact you in real life, although you willingly give up the information, is just a little, I don't know, strange. It's for the event, of course, but you don't know who you gave those numbers to, and what about after the event? It's not like the information will be obsolete.

Well I don't usually have time to post my thoughts on things after I've finished answering the tech help forums, but here's a topic for you.

My favorites at the moment are the Merovingian, Persephone, the Oracle, the General and Seraph.

the merovingian: a program designed to collect data for the Architect (who makes objects and environments but nothing requireing creativity) and create human interaction specific code: hence his cake - he was made obsolete by the Oracle's introduction. The merv only understands causality... the ultimate "Why". The oracle understands the process of reaching the "why", the human decision process. Making her far more intuative than the merv and more able to influence humans in subtle ways. The Merv controlls with ultimate consequences (power, I have more than you, confront me and i will overpower you with my vast resources) the Oracle leads you to make the desired choices.

Seraph "protects that which matters most": presumably "that which matters most" has been subject to change in the past. but why and what was it originally

Persephone, I'm guessing, was the merovingian's counterpart. He is power, she is love and compassion... representing human desire. As a pair they compliment each other. He is the push of authority, power and threat, she is the pull of desire and want. He makes what he needs, she takes what she wants.

I would speculate that the Keymaker was created when the Architect and the Merovingian were working together as a linking program, providing the programmers with quick access to areas they were working on and linking those areas together. The Keymaker was captured prior to the first movie, probably around the time the Merovingian became obsolete.

Mr. Black and Dame White seem to be basic artifact coders. I'm not sure about Mr. Black but Dame White is a musical enthusiast and seems to be a program designed to make things asthetically pleasing to humans (polishing touches to the matrix here and there, adding pleasure and a reason to stay "asleep".

I would guess that Dame White might be from the "perfect" matrix while Mr. Black is from the "hell" matrix as suggested by the very basic nature of their names. They were probably in similar situations to the Merovingian and Persephone except that Mr. Black and Dame White worked independantly of each other, whereas the Merovingian and Persephone work together complimenting each other. A combination of the one-sided work of Black and White.

Addressing your question of the Keymaker and previous Ones. For previous Ones the matrix was a very different place. Remember that the Matrix is a system of systems. One built on another. The door room relied on the rules of the building system. Previous versions of the Matrix were built with different senarios, all of which were set in our past. Times when technology was far less advanced. Chances are the one's powers were enough in the past, but this is covered from both angles. Remember when the Keymaker was expecting Neo... Like it wasn't the first time he had had to help the One.

Think of the matrix like the network in a small business office. All the computers just plug in, get assigned an address and interact with the network and the internet dynamically, but due to the dynamic nature of the connections they could drop out at any time. Normally these connections are fine as small dropouts result in momentary lag. But if you want to send or recieve a large file on a non-standard port the risk of drop-out or being blocked by a firewall is rather high and some connections can not be made across the internet.

A hardline is a secure VPN connection with port mapping (a dedicated link between 2 computers that tunnels through networks and simulates a direct connection). Difficult to set up and rather selfish with resource usage, but essential to secure fast direct communications.

Mobiles are like the IM of the Matrix and will work for sending small amounts of data.
You see phones are meant to transmit sound and text (standard ports) but not people.
Hardlines are phones that have this static mapping and have been modified so that a person's RSI can be sent through.

Coding while sitting is fine as long as you remember that:

a) Sitting reduces your defences 200%

b) Benches tend to break when you do anything with your abilities while sitting on them

Sykin... on the topic of buying Matrix merchandise, The comics are cool but beware the crappy binding. The hot glue used in the perfect-binder for binding the second comic is too soft (I work for a company that sells and services these machines, I know what I'm on about). I ordered both burleyman comics, the first one was fine... sthe second one fell apart (the middle 15 pages fell out) when I opened it. Of course I complained but got no response.

When you pay that much for a comic and the package arrives 5 weeks later looking like it was used as the superbowl ball ... totally unacceptable. Be warned Burleyman comics has crappy service and US Post is one of the worst postal services in the world (not that you can do much about that).

What sort of company uses US Mail for international Shipping? What the heck is wrong with UPS or FedEx or some other shipping company that doesn't shred your package?
