Yeah me and 3 folk from my faction tried that on one of the crits, one of was upgrade master so basically rezzed us everytime we got killed (which was alot), but we couldn't take a thing off of him.

Then eventually loads of agents spawned and chased us out of the building, resulting in us all lying dead infront of Tabor West hardline, ah what a larf

I will try to answer yon questions, nothing worse than being left hanging...

Question no. 1 - Yeah there is some intro collector's around Uriah (beginning area) to give you an idea of what the collector's stuff is all about, as well as a chance to get you some slightly better, buffed gear (though you grow out of it quick), they also lead you to vendors of different sorts, a contact mission, a hideout i think, as well as giving you tips etc. along the way (sure someone tells you about how to get started with missions by pressing N), so generally those ones are to get you started and ease you in.

Also i think the guy your talking about with the boots, gives you boots in exchange for the keys...just double check that

Question no. 2 - Well the collector's quest are kinda scattered about the place, think the intro ones are really the only ones that lead from one to another like that (but you can easily locate them on your map, the little purple arrow icons), but there is missions as well (thats the old N key) and contact missions you find around the place as well as other quests you come across later down the line.

Question no. 3 - Yeah the starting clothes aren't that great, but as you go about the place and kill things, you'll find they drop clothes, enemies above your level normally drop enhanced clothes with nice buffs, but vendors also have some dress clothes as well (but they are just a fraction of what you can get), but fear not, there is absoloutly loads of clothes around...and if you see something you like but can't get a hold of, you can always ask your friendly neighbourhood coder if they have one in their coding library.

Question no. 4 - Well there is three organizations in the Matrix, Zion, Machines and Merovingians (no agents unfortunatly but we'll get to that), Zion is like in the films, fighting for the human race and all that good stuff, the machines are fighting to keep the Matrix nice and neat and tidy, and the Merovingians are just sort of fighting for their own gain (they are exile programs who aren't really at war like zion and the machines), as well as there being two splinter groups, EPN (zion alligned) and the Cypherites (machine alligned). Cypherites want everyone to stay plugged in the Matrix and EPN wants everyone out, and are sort of extreme in their methods.

So factions are alligned with one of these orgs, and well basically work for alot of the story characters you've seen in the films, and some ones you haven't. Eg. during stoy missions, if you are a machine you will meet and work for Agents, if you are Zion you will meet and work for Niobe and Ghost etc.

And if you catch a live event, you can even meet and interact with them, outside missioning

I remember 9mmfu was hanging about in datamine and he told some peeps that the drop rate was capped at 45 so nobody over would ever get the ear things to drop.

(Though before that he did say 50's could get it, just had a very small chance of it dropping

First of all i'll say it's never to early to tag access nodes (although if you're doing it on your lonesome forget that XD).

Basically it's best to get ones where the boss that holds the key is around or below your level, so you don't get killed every time you try to get one.

I'd say international personally cause i find missioning in international alot easier than in westview, cause the gangs are slightly less aggressive. But it's up to you, though i think most of the bosses start at a lower level (ones with keys)

And there is a few keys in richland, Owl Bangheart in Magog has Sobra Shores. Buck in Mannsdale has Southard, Gabrial has Gracy Heights and Kaede and Tisephone has Sai Kung and Ikebukuro.

There's probably some cool website that has all the locations and things somewhere, but i use an ingame email, so if you're wanting that, just tell us your ingame name and server and i'll send you it

Just ran this mission with one of my faction after he said he was having trouble with it, and lo and behold we had the same problem...which actually seemed somewhat familar to me (can remember this happening to me as well, not sure if it was the exact same mish or not, but was deffinetly the same kind of problem in the same kind of building).

Basically it requires you to lead yon NPC to a junction box and this is where the first problem occured...

She basically stopped dead there, and wandered about on her own, the follow command no longer working. Pressing it again, does not get her following you again as 'stop following me' doesn't appear.

So basically we were gonna give up, then for some reason she suddenly decided to walk into the room she was meant to go to and completed the objective.

Then next objective is to lead her elsewhere and a bunch of agents appear, 4 i believe, so i killed em all, searched the building high and low for anything else...but nope, she done the exact same thing again...infact found the exact same point where she stopped following you as seen here.

But this time she didn't seem to suddenly decide to walk down on her own and we gave up as my faction mate was eager to level before he logged.

So anyone else experienced this? Is it a bug or just something i'm missing?

Ah okay, cheers for that, did seem kinda familiar the problem. Just have to keep at it i guess, though it is a bit of a pest.

but hey-ho.

This happened recently to a friend of mine, he was helping a new faction member get the access key for Manssen Park, and couldn't find the guy who drops the key, Stephen, for like two days in a row (eventually we got the key off a regular gang member). I think in the end Stephen returned the following day with the server restart, but it was weird that him and his mob friends simply vanished.

I always thought that was an effect special gloves gave (like quicksilvers with the red glow), as i always used to notice it on Torturers gloves, and some of the collector's gloves...can't say i really notice it now though....but that's what i always though was the cause

Another good tip i picked up from a friend is when you get to about 35, grind the pbox missions over and over so you get yourself lots of boxes. Then get yourself some Artillerist abs and solo one box after another. Great way to get xp and mix it up a bit from archives (and although the mission grind is kinda annoying, it's probably easier than archs as they are the same mission everytime).

If you have the code for the bandana already, that means it's already coded

Just upload it at a hardline, make sure you have the Compile ability loaded, get yourself a Compiler Tool, stick that in your hotbar and press it, then search for the bandana, which should be under Hats, then it's as simple as hitting Compile and you should be able to make yourself one

What i do is load MKT, use disguise to get myself into the stairwell between the lupines and the override dudes and then try and pull the lupines one at a time into the stairwell, cripple, disguise, punt and you know the rest. can take a while, but i'm not usually in a rush

Also take lots of silver bullets.

Well that seems fair enough, everyone wanted it now they can get it, and the folk who want it all for themselves can pitch a tent in Datamine and stop everyone else getting it.

Course now i'm more intrigued by what set one is.

To contact Gray, press the N key and your list of contacts should come up. Running missions for him will earn you machine reputation.

As for the close combat, another option is pressing the - key or the little icon next to your hotbar, the first one being your close combat style and the other your ranged style.

And to open doors faster, hover your mouse over it and press the Tab key, hope this helps

Been a long time since i've done that mission, but it sounds like the mission area you are in is bugged (Occasionaly you'll find doors you can't get into). Best thing to try is starting the mission in a different area, so hopefully the mission area will be in a different type of building. Alternatively sometimes, leaving the mission area, hardlining somewhere else, then coming back fixes the problem, but it's not fool proof.

Anywho, hope you get it sorted soon

Just out of interest, is it the 'Authenticating...Failure (ERROR)' message everyone is getting, or have i got something else going on wrong ontop of all this? (Can't really remember what message you get during server downtime as i can't remember the last time i logged in during it)

See my above post for the explanation that he's been having this problem for several days now, going on best part of a week. So just to make it clear so nobody else makes a wee mistake and gets away from the issue at hand, that is helping someone who really needs it...This has nothing to do with the server going down.

Howdy all, just got a brand spanking new computer and was wondering how i go about getting all my info, such as mapblips, hotbar stuff etc. off of my old one onto my new one...I assume i have to redownload the game, which is no worries, as forking out a wee bit extra cash is worth not having to run around like i've got a bad case of the shakes all the time (lagg...who'd have it?).

Anywho, bare in mind i am in no way computer savy, so if anyone can walk me through how to go about this, that would be absoloutly grand-spankingly fantastic.

But for us christmas in MXO newbies, how exactly do you go about getting these, is it mission tokens or something, or just beating up NPC's and knicking their goodies to trade to collectors?

Don't think thats anything new to do with the update cause i've been getting that every so often since i started, everything but me in the game will freeze up and i'll find i can't jump or do anything much, then after a min or two i'll get that message. Dunno whats going on to be honest, thought it was just the Matrix not wanting to be my friend anymore

Hello, was just doing some archives after purchasing the machine archive missions 3.1 and 3.2, now had just finished maybe two or three of the 3.1 missions, the last one being where i had to upload something at a hl - wham, mission over like normal, got some nice xp...but this is where it gets weird, went to start the next one and the 3.1 archives are not in my inventory, nor are they in my email (not that they would have been anyway, cause my inventory wasn't full).

So, is there anyway to retrieve them? or am i gonna have to buy them again and do those first few missions over again?(where i'm currently running them in International where every second mission, half the bad guys go for a wander down the road which can be mighty frustrating)

Good news everyone, logged in as my main to see if it'd been sent there by mistake (which they hadn't) then logged back in as my alt, and they'd magically appeared again

Still i must say, it was kind of weird...where'd they go for all that time? Maybe i should have checked 0 0 0 coordinates, probably were hanging out with the NPC's.

I particularly like the fact that with all this fighting and mayhem going on, Cryptos took the time to give me and this machine program a quick dance lesson.

You use wireless? Cause that happens to me from time to time, when my wireless connection cuts out to the internet, or just doesn't recieve a good signal or something (Due to the bloomin' wind here in windy, rainy Scotland). I just wait it out a bit and it eventually returns.

But thats all i can think of, probably not, i know nothing about all this stuff...but thought i'd just add that in.

I personally think this is the best idea i've ever heard. Being a member of an until recently Tri-Org faction i think this would solve alot of the problems that has for the moment knocked that idea on the head.

Being able to communicate with the other factions in such a way would save having to whisper everyone individually or only be able to commincate with the six other folk on your team if you have something wanting said you don't want everyone in area chat to hear.

I think it would be cool if you could do this, with say a max amount of three factions being able to all chat to each other under this system.

Quick question...I got a mech, a merv and a zion currently (all named Dulux, or a approximation of it) which is an RP choice and a game choice. I like playing all 3, i like seeing all angles of the story, and i like going to all three events (although currently have only been to zion and one cyph one just last week). So me question is, is this okay? As i'm supposed to be the same character, someone who has a working for everyone and no one type stance, does this rule me out for these rewards, or looked down at for going to events?

To be honest rewards don't really bother me too much, i did get a translocation program from Niobe recently which i totally didn't expect and was kinda chuffed with, but it's not really the reason i participate in events (also i'm not that great a fighter to be honest).

Most of the Liason's i've met seem to be okay with me, though not sure if they all know about my three org status, but i've never tried to hide it, infact had a conversation with the Cyph Liason as my merv after she let me tag along to said Cyph event (even though i got the feeling, some machines weren't welcome) and i even got some help of Cryptos killing a level 63 which was cool.

Just thought i'd put this out here to see what everyone though of my postition and wether it was frowned upon or not.

Same thing happened to me too Krip, go to this site here http://support.station.sony.com/petition and fill in a ticket saying whats up, I did and got it sorted out by a GM pretty quick smart

Oh and you have to go to InGameSupport and tell them whats happened filling in the required fields...hope this helps, if you haven't tried it already that is.
