Hooked up system chat messages for the following emotes: backflop, backflop1, backflop2, bang, cough, cutitout, drinkbottle, duh, examine, giddiyup, horns, kickdoor, mimeelbow, mimerope, mimewall, picknose, pickup, plugnose, righton, sleep, takepill, timeout, tiphat, whichway.
Noooo! This is not cool. People have emotes like /mimeelbow in macro'd loops. Now they're gonna get done for spamming system chat. Or does the system text only appear for the player performing the emote? Even then, my chat logs's gonna get more bloated than it is now.

(Yes, I did understand what you just said. I hurriedly made up this retort because I see trying to convince you of the error of your ways as a total waste of time. So I'll mock you instead. Amuses me, at least.)

That's why I don't see much credibility in many of the arguments here. We can't compare MxO to other MMOs because the Dev team isn't as large. I may have misinterpreted the intention of this thread, but you seem to be crying for Rarebit to be replaced. You're blaming him for everything that's gone wrong. If we aren't getting as much content it isn't because he can't program, its because one of MxO's programmers (HCFrog) was taken away. HCFrog's departure is not Rarebit's fault. So don't complain about Rarebit, complain about not having more Devs. There are other issues that Rarebit's displayed, I'll admit that. But they wouldn't be a problem with more Devs. He's dealing with every non-programmed element of the game. At the same time. Anyway, I wasn't going to enter this thread until I saw this: Roukan wrote:

I think of all the options, showing their details makes the most sense. I've wished for this for ages. And it really shouldn't be hard to do. And that blasted Tab issue really ticks me off! Many a time I've had to explain to someone why I need to kick them from a team. I think I remedied that problem by changing te key assignment, but I can't remember.

Ah, right, I get what Sky was on about now.
Certainly, in many RP situations cetain factors will have to be discussed OOC - not everything can be decided as it goes along. But planning is such an important part of RP, I figured that aspect of being OOC was taken as read.

Don't worry, I know what you're on about.
I agree with you that consent is necessary, but I didn't for a moment imagine anyone doubted it. Does this sort of thing really happen? Do people make up plots about people without their consent? If they do that strikes me as very rude and inconsiderate.

Rarebit, you legend. I was too tired to stay up for the parties, but I appreciate the effort involved!
However, I must add my voice to those others who express concern: why weren't the post-event parties organised and planned into the event? While I'm sure other Devs had their own duties to attend to at the time (like sleep), I'm also sure they wouldn't've minded staying on and taking over for some of the parties if it had been arranged beforehand.

Not sure if it's the same problem, but I'd occasionally find that my accuracy and damage would suck in Interlock (or in free-fire for that matter) for no obvious reason. The NPCs - low level ones which should pretty much just die on command - would somehow evade me almost every time.
I eventually noticed that the Handgun style wasn't active when that happened. I have no idea how it lost that style, nor do I know why it didn't come back automatically as I'm sure it should have. But activating it manually from the ability list or hotbar gave me back my accuracy and damage.

Uh, the menu-based (and previous default double-click action) method of initiating free-fire or Interlock (depending on your distance from the target) is exactly the same as hitting the + or - keys on your hotbar. If one's broken, so's the other.
As it happens, in my experience it's never broken.
The new double-click action will remain or I'll eat my hat. And yours.

I'm very glad we got some good responses to these questions. They may not be perfect in some instances, but they're no worse than what I'd expect. Certainly, anyone thinking MxO's doomed and are about to leave may want to reconsider.
Edit: Raijinn was working on six games?! First we thought it was two, then the podcast said it was four... now six? I wish he'd told us. It wouldn't have fixed the problem, but at least the blame would have shifted off him somewhat.

I'm feeling generous today, so I won't mention the table-based layout or the tag soup. Oops.
Seriously, dude, you don't have to have money to make a good Web site. I've been broke for weeks now (well, with enough money to pay for MxO, of course), but I'm designing standards-compliant, structured, accessible, fluid sites all over the shop. *Coughs.*
By the way, that light green text is a litle hard to read on the white background. You might wanna turn it down a touch.

Nice try, but the Chapter 9 archive missions won't be out by then. Mwuah-hahah!
I think. Pfft. Even if Update 59 does happen on Thursday (and I'm pretty sure it doesn't, just the anniversary update) you'll have one day to do the missions.
