Something i just can't get my head around.

In the first Matrix, when Smith is....integrating Morpheus, he asks the other two Agents to leave them alone.
Later on they burst in and one of the agents says "What were you doing?" and the other says "He doesn't know." to which Smith replies "Know what?".

I've been seriously considering moving to The US., also Canada. trouble is have no idea where to start looking into it.

I'd like a fresh start and thought a move to another country would be a great idea. At first it was just a thought, but I'm hoping it will become a reality.

What i was hoping to do is go over therefor a few years, see how it is. I might get home sick, etc, so i just want to check it out.

So, do i need to get a job over there before i move over?

Any help, points in the right directions would be greatly appreciated.

I got this HP Dv8000 laptop a few months back. Instead of coming with the normal 3-4 disks, all of the drivers, applications etc are all on this HP recovery Partition. I thought it was kinda cool, 'cause it meant not having to look after 4 disks, which i ant good it.

A while back i reset the laptop back to the way i got it through this HP recovery thing. Everything was fine and dandy. PC was back to the way i got it and i did what i had to do. Installing my games etc. Now i would like to do that again, however, there is a slight problem. the steps the laptop should go through are as follows:

Connect Laptop to the AC power adapter.
Close all programs.
Click Start, click All Programs, select System Recovery, and click PC Recovery.
When the recovery options are presented, select the option to perform the PC Recovery and click Next.
The PC will restart.
When the Welcome to PC Recovery message displays, click OK to continue. Wrong. PC loads windows as if it were a normal reboot.
~~On the System Recovery panel, select System Recovery. By default, the system will perform a complete reformat and will destroy all user data.~~
~~Restart the PC when prompted.~~

Really don't know where to go with this. I've checked all my drives for errors and/or bad sectors, virus, spyware. But everything is OK, or looks that way. I tried putting in a normal XP disk to reformat the hard drive, but it says and can't find any :S Odd.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When i try to get in game it sticks at the part where it tells you your launcher version and client version.
I've waited for a while, hasn't moved a bit. Closed it down a few times and tried again, same. Even thought that because my laptop has been on for a while i may as well reboot and try again - Same crap.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

New Info; I got a little message telling me that the patch servers are down or my internet is fecked. I don't think it's the latter.
Also said that it couldn't open the URL, I'm guessing to the server. Uh, dunno what to do.

Hello everyone,

Something i'd hope i would never have to do...But it's time for me to bow out now. This is really hard for me because i think this community is the best I've ever seen. But i cannot stay because of that.

I've not been playing the game for sometime now, and the new content that's been added just doesn't grab my attention.
So, instead of shelling out £10 a month on a game i don't play, I'm going to see if there's one i enjoy.

I hope to return one day, and I'll be keeping close tabs on the forums.

I'd just like to say a big thanks to all the factions that i was in, especially The Risen Triad. They were a great bunch. And a big thanks to all the players I've played with, PvPed with on Vector, RPed with etc..

I think it would be a good idea to hold a wee banner competition.

If you look at it now, you can see a missive gap between the two images. It's the sux0rs.

We are talented people, I'm sure we can come up with a much, much better one than that.
So, with the forums being in a development sort of stage, i mean, i can't see a lot of things staying as they are, simply because they are not attractive. So why not hold a banner competition now? I think it's as good a time as any.

So i get into work today, double click on outlook and **bleep** my pants. I've been spammed with "Please insert rewritable media". I think to my self "Oh **bleep**". I've just started this job and have no idea what the hell is going on. and with me being put in charge of the daily checks means me starting at 8 and everyone else starting at 9, no one is here to help me.

So I'm thinking "I've put in buggerd tapes, or something". So i run to our server room, which is freezing cold btw, only to find that i forgot to put the tapes in two of our servers. Wonderful. So.. i restrain myself from **bleep**ting my pants, go back to my desk and i'm thinking "Pfft, this must've happened before".

I carry on with the rest of the checks biting my nails off until one of the guys come in. I run up to him like a mad man on speed telling him about it. Hopefully there's not a system failure and all the servers need backed up. If so, I'm buggerd.

Anyways, i can just tell it's going to be one of those craptastic days where every thing goes wrong. The other 4 guys in the system dep have their mail boxes spammed with "Please load rewritable media."

Me? Well, I'm drinking really, really strong coffee, when i say really strong, i mean, like, 3 normal spoon size scoops of it. Why i here you say? I had to do the early shift today and I'm not really a morning soft of person. So this is to kick me into action.

Apart from getting high on caffeine, I'm chasing people up for a whole bunch of crap they should have sorted ages ago. All that's keeping me going is that lunch is about an hour 'n' a half away and i have tuna rolls in SMILEY

So I jacked in today, only to find myself what looked like underground. However, When i suicide, i just pressed jack into the matrix. I arrived at Mara C and.....

Ok so, this is something that really annoys me. It's not that fact that people have used the image, but it's the fact that they haven't asked that's the problem. In worse cases, they don't own up when asked and try to pass it off as their own.

This happened to me a while ago, but the guy never said for a second that he made the image. After we talked and he apologized.

I think it's disrespectful to take something that someone has put their time and effort into without asking at all, or the slightest bit of recognition. I'm sure people would be glad someone wants to use their work because it's cool, i know i would.

I just want to know what the rest of the community think of this? But let's keep flaming, bashing 'n' all that to a minimum, eh?

Anyone else having problems with Gmail, Google, Ebay, and Amazon?
If i manage to get Ebay to load, it's in texted only format. I did manage to get it to load properly once, but after that it's just been the same.

At first i thought it was Ebay's update, or whatever, to allow more users to access the site. But it's not that. Just wondering if anyone else is having problems with these pages today?

I've seen a few people over the past few days say the like this kind and that kind.

I prefer "simple" wallpaper. Take this one i made for myself. As you can see, there is not a lot going on in there.
The left side is mostly blank because that's where my icons go. I like to keep my desktop nice and tidy, and that's why i like simple black or white desktops. I'm not saying they can't have colour (just so happens that wallpaper has Ookami in black and white), I'm talking about the background.

I could have made it all fancy with code, more gore 'cause it's Ookami, but with my icons on top of that makes it look untidy.

So what kind do you like? Why? And give us an example.:smileyhappy:

I'm looking at the meda section of the new MxO site, which rocks btw. I think it would be cool it there was a fan art section for us players to submit wallpapers and things like that.

I like the idea of org specific abilites. But there needs to be something in place to stop us from getting all of them.

I remember reading that if you switched org there would be a penalty. It's a shame that was never implemented, but now i feel it should be. I don't know what the penalty could be. But it would have to be some thing hefty to stop players from swtiching just to get all the abilites.

One thing i do know is they should be made non-tradeable. As you know there are some people with alts in all three orgs. So there would be nothing stoping them from trading them between the alts, unless they were non-tradeable.

Please share your ideas and thoughts.

For me it was a few things, mainly videos and pictures.

The first time i heard about MxO was on Matrix forums. I thought it was Rpers acting out things from the Matrix movies, so i ignored it. Then i found this(Quicktime needed). My jaw droped when i saw that. I watched it over and over.

This video also did it. The machine gun kick near the end of that video by none other that Walrus is out of this world. I wish it was like that now.

This, this, and this had me hooked. When i heard that if you pre-ordered MxO you got into beta, i did it no questions asked.

What did it for you?

Yep. I hate not being able to edit my first posted in a thread i started. It's stupid, and if there is a reason for it, i would like to know why.

I posted a useful thread for new players wanted to get into photoshop. I would like to update that first post but can't. I posted a tutorial a few weeks back. One of the links died and i had to annoy a mod to change it for me.

Edit: I just realized that it's after a certin period of time you can't go back and edit it. Still sucks though.

I think time zones confuse alot of people. That's why i think MxO should have an in-game clock. Doesn't have to be fancy or anything, even just a command like /mxotime and it displays "Mega city time".

The time could still be in PDT but people could jack in, check the clock and think "oh, the even is not for another 2 hours or so".

Most of us Idealists would like a different colour, and i think it was Aquatium that said, if we all agree then Raijinn will change it.

With Cr2.0 hasn't just brought us balence and a better combat system. It's gave us Baseball hats, level 50 weapons and clothing, Ui improvements and much more. I really feel the game is moving forward and it's about time too.

Today i almost pulled my hair out trying to find out how i could get a rotator sig. I finally did it.
Heres how i did it for any of you who want one.

(1) First you need web space. Go to here.
Fill in your details, select "Free hosting" if not already and "Use my existing domain". This will make sure you pay nothing.

Once you have placed your order and have your email go to the 100 webspace control panel Here. Click on file manager. This will take you to a place with folders that looks like this:

Click on the "WWW" folder and then that subfolder which should be your domain name.

I have to say, that hard part is done.

(2) Go ahead and make a new folder called "Sigs" or whatever, then go into that folder.
As you can see from the image above, you have the option to upload files into that folder. Upload your sigs into it.

(3) Once you have done that you need a PHP script. Thanks to Aquatium, you can get one Here.
Once you have downloaded that, upload that file into the same folder you have your sigs in.

Almost there...

(4) Go to your profile and where you would normaly put the url for your sig stick the url to your rotator.php file

Now i'm sure your smart enough to know that you have to put in your domain name ect.

I use the various sharpen toold available to enhance my images all the time. Since i have never seen it mentioned on these forums, i thought i would.

Ok so take a nice inmage. Not too dark now.

I've choosen this one:

When you have your image do the following:

It's really up to you what you set it too here. I normaly set it right down to 0 and work my way up until i'm happy or feel thats too much. Here i have set it to 50 and the radius, i always max that out. That means it covers the whole picture.

After your happy with that choose sharpen more. Sharpen more is like selecting sharpen twice. If you feel sharpen more is too much, press Ctrl+z to go back one and just choose sharpen. As you can see here, i have gone with sharpen more.

You'll see an enhancement in the image, but also jaggy edges around your RSI, inside your RSI (shadres, hair ect) and also buildings.

The way i get rid of them is by choosing the blur tool.

Set the mass diameter to about 5-7, hardness to 100. and strength too about 5%. Leave mode to normal.
Go around the edges of your RSI, buildings inside your RSI like your shirt, shades, or even your face.

I never botherd about the buildings, just my RSI. I should have went over my chin here but, meh!
Feel free to add a green tint or what ever after that.

Try and apply it to a sig like this:

I went to my girlfriends uncles wedding today, as i told Aquatium. The church was lovely and so was the bride (who was an hour late btw).
After the wedding the family was getting their photos took, so me and another guy thought we would get started on that free bar!

After the photos were took and everyone was getting thier drinks and food was on it's way. I was talking to my girlfriends granddad as he went to the toilet and i went for another drink. About 5 miniutes after i got back to my table i noticed a few people running around. My girlfriend went down to check it out. Not a miniute later she stumbled out the door, face red, mascara running. I suddenly sobered up and ran down to her. "My granddad isn't breathing" she said. He passed away. He passed away on his sons wedding day.
The sounds his daughters pleas will live with my for the rest of my days. For a while i thought i was in a nightmare. But now, now i know it was real. He's gone.

Make sure you tell those close to you just how much they mean to you. You never know whats around the corner. I found that out the hard way.

I never knew how much i hated this ability until i was trying to capture video clips and screen shots.
The ability is : Intensify Damage. Personaly i feel that there is no need to display anything like this.
