Don't know if it's already been brought up, but here it comes: There's a grab finisher in the Aikido style where you first throw your opponent to the ground and then do a cartwheel over him lying on the ground and throw him to earth once more. I've seen it several times now, and each time, it worked incorrectly: My opponent was already dead and lying on the ground when my character started to perform this move. When he was doing his cartwheel he simply moved away from the corpse. I've already bugged it, but thought an additional admonition here wouldn't be out of place.

1. Here's a certain type of MA animations from the old system that seem to miss now. Whenever you won the round while your opponent was armed, there were always two possibilities: The first one was to disarm him. In the second one, your character jumped away from the oppoent (or was drawn?) and then approached him while performing different actions and then performing a single hit on him. In Aikido, it was just sneaking, in Karate it was a sommersault jump and then, there were two in Kung Fu: The first one was a typical Kung Fu "demonstration of power" (a bit like the MA emotes), the second one was a twisted jump towards your opponent by hitting him while still in the air. The Aikido one wasn't really spectacular and sometimes even annoying, but the rest just rocked. I haven't seen any of those until now, but if they're really been got rid of, I would seriously suggest to bring them back in. 2. If a hit-hit constellation occurs in the last round, there's not finisher. Instead of that you (or the other guy) just performs a standard tactic animation and then you or he falls to the ground. Ludicrous. Any way to "fix" it? I might have a few others, maybe I'll bring them up later.

I've seen some new animations though. You seem to try to disarm your opponent and he defends it. Also, there are a few new dodge moves I haven't seen before. But yea, the former disarm moves should be reimplemented.

... at least not in the movies.
Well, her apartment in the cinematics is undoubtedly in Richland, you can see it in the window or during Morpheus' jump. It should be Mara, but could also be Apollyon or Dannah Heights, not sure about that.
I was really referring to the sequence in Reloaded, because I've heard people saying "If you look at that scnee you'll see that the buildings are just like those around Debir Court". That's what I wanted to adjust here. Quite possible that she's moved her apartment to another area, I wasn't arguing that.

Lol energak. Just lol. In the other thread you complained about the sleepwalkers and demanded to stop this "silly event". I really thought you were serious, but if it was irony, it was quite a bad irony. It should be concludable from your text that it's irony, otherwise it's a failure. We have an event with lots of content going on right now. Starting threads about lack of content in these days is just a brainlessly following a trend. Everyone posts how bad cr 2.0 is and how little content we have. Now you just come here and repeat it all. You could argue that cr holded the developers from keeping track of content. However, I've played it and I should say that all the things that could be taken as demerits (like the manual or-else usage of upgrades or the UI change) are really too small to be pissed off and are really easy to get used to. Those who demonstratively call it a downgrade simply don't even try to understand anything and just want to achieve attention. Also, you claimed the devs were to lazy to fix the old system. That was pretty thoughtless from you, because it's common sense that cr 2 required lots more work than a small fix. It was something that was planned from the early days on, and planned by professionals who partially also have developed the old system and they had their reasons for that. Calling the Devs idiots is a representative example of teenager arrogance (you go to college, right?). You sit their at home swoting your "stupid college" and think you could judge about professional game programmers just because you don't understand this change and because everyone else says that anyway. I really don't know why I'm paying so much attention to you. After all, you just wanna have some fun while swoting for your college. And starting from that, you don't have to care about the quality of your posts, main thing you just annoy enough people or get rid of your frustration. I do comprehend it more or less(after all, I also go to school), but I find it stupid to go here and post crap. I wouldn't feel better if I did this, but if it makes you sleep better, continue whatever you think is right. If you have luck, you could even achieve the "jacked out of the matrix" rank, the supreme rank in this forum. So Mods, please don't close or delete this thread so energak can enjoy his break from college right here and won't move to other threads or start new ones. Just a suggestions though, I'm not the one to make decisions around here peace

but yeah, im just a dumbass college kid who just likes to b as offensive as possible to as many as possible, so why should my thoughts matter right. You claimed that yourself and behaved like that. The first posts I saw from you were simply crap, why did you post crap instead of something relatively mature and constructive like this one? If you play an idiot, you'll be treaten like one, because no one would know that you're in fact an atomic physicist (to use a cliché image) and just feel like posting something below your level. Keep this up and everything's gonna be ok. However, I'd like to point you to a semantic error in your argumentation: The fact that CR 2.0 wasn't necessary (in your opinion) doesn't automatically mean it's a "downgrade", because that means this is actually worse than the old one. There are people who have different opinions about that and have good reasons for their opinions, and I'm not competent enough to judge about it professionally -- I just know the animations are way better (inspite of bugs). I would still keep from calling the game developers idiots, because it's still really ignorant and arrogant (great rhyme by the way). I'd say if you've done all mission contacts and PB boxes (from which at least the contacts are an important part of content), there might not be much to do -- city exploration and PvP, not much apart from that. And are you really able to complete all 15 crits within one hour whithout missing any important details? respect! " EDIT: d00minja wrote:energak clearly has nothing better to do.. and its simple to see that.. he stands in the same exact place in mara and crys about the combat system and yet he NEVER fights EVER... I had a disscussion with him and basically he told me he is here because sony wont refund him his money and he has no life so he is gonna try to ruin the game for all the other players around and basically try to kill the game.. do not listen to him or pay any attention to him.. he is just craving attention on the computer since het cant get it else where.. let him post as many threads as he wants..
Didn't know that Still thought I should post a reply.

There was a certain grab move that reminded of the first half of the Sidekick Combo. After you've pushed your enemy away, you take a little run-up and perform a flying kick into his face. It even seemed that my character was preparing to do that but was always interrupted by his opponent's gunfire. Have I just been unlucky or is this awesome animation really not in the game anymore? Has anyone else seen it after CR 2.0 launch? If it's really gone, there's only one thing I could say: DEVS, re-implement it RIGHT NOW!!

Well, after all the Devs are professional game programmers, good RPers and really great mission writers, so maybe call the idiots is a bit too much, even for an opinion. However, I do appreciate your subjectiveness, and I guess that removes any reason to flame you because of your opinion. Some of your previous posts (especially in that other locked thread where 6 messages got deleted) were quite stupid though, but that's already history and I won't refer to that anymore " When I'm doing the crits I still think there are always some nice ideas in the whole scenario (like agents popping up, a (faked) real-time hunt for bombs, cellphone messages or whatever), but you don't have to like it. You know, it's just what I think Message Edited by zeroone5069 on 04-01-200612:03 PM

I guess the grab finishers now deserve their own thread, but I thought it would attract more attention to post them separately, especially because I didn't know about this one before. So, it's concerning Self Defense. I don't know how it should have looked in real because I haven't used Self Defense so much before, but right now, your character just stands at the same spot while your opponent is lifted up in the air, twisted and then thrown to earth. It looks like a cat upheaved on a thread or Fat **bleep**'s miscarried wire stunt. Please, fix it

There were a few Zion and Merovingian criticals where a group of level 255 agents popped up right after the "completion" of an objective. In the Merv ones, it was right after you had freed the Effectuator. They just popped up from nothing and kicked my *CENSORED*. That was a kinda cool idea, I think. If you're referring to the city design, for me it's just the right balance between monotony and variety. Although especially when doing the mission contacts, it was always a bit funny when they sent you to someones hideout or base and it was nothing but another office building.

Along new martial arts styles or melee weapons and some other stuff, the expansion of the city is one of those players hot desires that aren't feasible in foreseeable future. Especially now when they have to keep up the game the other way or other, designing all the new districts isn't feasible right now, so I don't expect it in any near future. But it would rock, I agree. (although the current four districts are far from being bad, too, so why not explore them along with pointless PvP? wouldn't make less sense at least " ) And yea, the agent threat in restricted areas should be higher. Although I don't really have a problem with the current state.

OK, I've just found a City of Knights Poster in Center Park. I don't know if it's the one you're referring to, and I know there are several ad posters in Downtown that advertise other MMO games (from SOE, I'd guess).
However, the poster I've found is to the West of building near the Center Park (the park). Look for Viktor on your map (a Collector) and then to the building he stands at. The poster is on the side that's turned to the park.

At least before CR 2.0, there were a few wall kicks in the game. You could randomly get them if using Karate (Power?) and standing in the correct position to a wall. I've also heard Kung Fu had this feature, either. However, it seems like CR 2.0 removed them at least temporarily, at least that's what people say.

(Or should I better have asked this in the off-topic board?)
Except International and some neighborhoods of other districts, the City is full of those upper streets that are built above streets or side-walks. "Upper streets" doesn't sound like a correct expression to me, so is there a better one?
That would also go for real cities, of course.

Yea, the google images speak for themselves, the broken one even looks like that broken road in Rogers Way. The pedestrian ways on the elevated roads in Mega City hardly disqualify them as such, so let's agree on that.

Since we can't let 50s enter Yuki, or worse, interacting with players or NPCs, my suggestion would be to make separate copies of them accessible for level 50s (a good motivation for levelling by the way), maybe with different loots.

Wait, wait... where have you heard that? The Mega City was already designed for Reloaded and Revolutions, just watch the DVD bonuses. However, from what I can see, MxO and the movies aren't really canon regarding the world.
The lobby in MXO was moved there by machines after the matrix rebooted.
Just in the eventual case that you have this information from MxO Archive, it isn't canon and was just invented by Stack -- which was also stated by himself.

Thats not an insult, thats an observation + friendly advice......
Sounds more like hypocrisy. You have to understand one thing: There isn't any rule that forces you to post only positive things. You're not forbidden to voice your negative opinions on the boards. A typical scheme: One says "I don't like this", and the other one "well, then get the **** out of our game". That's just destructive and doesn't make any sense. Just a friendly advice.

Can anyone tell me how to get into the boss room and where the teleporter phone is? There's a room on my map (the one at the very south-east) I just can't find a way in. I can see it more or less through the barrier (in the room to the north), but I can't find any door or hole leading there. Is that the boss or teleported room?
Or is it somewhere different?

I suppose you're talking about the attribute points?
Yeah, basically, you're right.
Focus is mainly for gun and stealth attacks, Perception for Martial Arts and Reason for hackers and Coders (except Code Shapers, where the proxies might benefit from other attributes, like Aikido Simulacra from Perception).
If you want a detailed explanation of what the attributes do exactly, go to mxovault.com and check the attribute guides there. I hope it helps you.

Hey, I don't wanna be mean or anything, but I've come accross certain... demerits in your guide. Thought I'd post them. First of all, some formatting would be nice. You know, bold, underline, different sizes and stuff. Looks prettier and a bit more convenient to read. You can start off by picking up each piece (mission) of the chapter you'd like at your organizations archivist, I'll explain it by using the first chapter. Then go to a district of your choice, and start up the first mission in the chapter(1.1.1). Do this mission 3 times, and you will recieve the Completion Token 1.1. Once you have completed the first missions, and recieved the completion token, move on to the next mission in the chapter(1.2.1). Do this mission until you get your completion token, and then do the next and final mission in the chapter(1.3.1). Until you recieve the completion token for this mission as well. Once you've completed all the missions (*this is correct*) for each chapter, head back to your archivist to pick up the next chapter. Fire up the mission until you get the token, and so on, and so forth.
I think you've made it artificially complicated here. First of all, a few adjustments concerning the classification: - 1 is the chapter, 1.1 - 1.3 are sub-chapters. I've underlined the according passages. - In the passages I've marked red, you're talking about "doing this mission until...". In fact, these are different missions in a sub-chapter, so it should be rather "do all of this sub-chapter's missions". Again, a bit classification: 1.1 is the sub-chapter; 1.1.1 is this chapter's first mission. The Archivist Broker sells ticket's for each sub-chapters first mission. After completing 1.1.1, you receive the ticket for 1.1.2. After completing 1.1.2, you receive 1.1.3. And after that one, you get the 1.1 token. (Also, as one in the Missions forum pointed out, you need to hold a free inventory space for the arriving tickets, otherwise you'll have to redo the whole sub-chapter.) Secondly, there's no need to merge the sub-chapters into chapters. The Archivist Brokers offer the sub-chapters separately (well, the initial missions actually, but for the simplicity's sake), so you'll only need to purchase one sub-chapter at a time, and when you've done with it, move to the next sub-chapter. Also, saves more inventory space P.S.: Oh, it's spelled "receive". I don't wanna clamp on misspellings or typos, but pointing them out is all good, I think. Once you've completed all 4 chapters for your organization, head to one of the locations below: You will need the following completion tokens to recieve your organizations article of clothing: Completion tokens 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, and 4.4 *ahem?* Ok, ok, just a typo
Ikebukuro Northest - Machine Trader Kaede Central - Zion Trader Sai Kung Southwest - Merovingian Trader (There's also a trader for each organization in Richland, Westview, and Downtown, I believe)
One district is sufficient, but here's the listing of all the others. Also, the "Traders" are officially called "Collectors" in MxO. Again, somewhat nitpicky, but I thought it wouldn't hurt. After you've traded your completion tokens for your items, you can move on to the next organization if you chose, but keep in mind that you also have to run the missions again for your org. (so if you're machine and you got your shades, you're gonna have to run all of the missions from all of the chapters again to get another one of the orgs items)
Hmm. A bit confusing. Basically, you'll have to run all the chapters for Org A if you wanna get the reward for Org A. If you've done the Machine archive and got your glasses, you'll have to run the Merv missions to get the Merv reward and the Zion missions to get the Zion reward. "Your" own organization doesn't matter. Well, probably what you meant aswell... Also, I just wouldn't use the term "again", because, well, those are entirely different missions *thinks* *deletes last paragraph* Completion Tokens for Chapter 1 for all three organizations (Zion, Merv, and Mach Completion Tokens 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3) -Noninfectious Flame Virus- Completion Tokens for Chapter 2 for all three organizations (Zion, Merv, and Mach Completion Tokens 2.1. 2.2, and 2.3) -Noninfections Fly Virus- Completion Tokens for Chapter 3 for all three organizations (Zion, Merv, and Mach Completion Tokens 3.1, 3.2, and 3.3) -Fly Storm- Completion Tokens for Chapter 4 for all three organizations (Zion, Merv, and Mach Completion Tokens 4.1, 4.2, and 4.3) -Blue Headlamp-
Perfect!

The Archivist Broker sells tickets for each sub-chapter's first mission. After completing 1.1.1, you receive the ticket for 1.1.2. After completing 1.1.2, you receive 1.1.3. And after that one, you get the 1.1 token. Oh, and it's "nitpicking", not "nitpicky". Anyone heard anything about lack of edit?

Well, the "mis-positioning" of character skins in interlock is another bug, and quite an old one.
I really meant that my opponent fell down to the ground, dead and already with the loot green code effect, and my toon still performed that finisher. I'll check it out again soon, but I remember it happen a few days ago, so I don't believe it's already fixed.

Yea, the IS is drained no matter if you hit or fail -- that always so and hasn't changed.
However, I don't know if it's a bug or supposed to be this way, but I like it. I mean it's good to see the "clean versions" of moves like Dim Mak Strike (Kung Fu Master) which would cause an annoying combat effect inevitably. If the ability fails and you still see the animation, you can watch it without the effect, which I'd evaluate as extremely positive
