I voted for Ill Persephone, but now I think about it, I like the trainman more.

Oh, don't get me wrong, he looks nothing like what the Trainman really should, but it's as close you can imagine them getting him with no modellers. Still that RSI looks spooky/dark/mysterious, which all adds up to cool for halloween.

Tbh, it's seeing how the new changes effect the community and how good/bad it is.

Well that will be incorrect, back when I got Max rep it was only with missions in Richland.

So... they made it that you have to be even more committed to the RSI with a particular org to do content.. and we get complaints...

If the content is setting a requirement that will make players make a choice about how much time/effort they want into getting it, is that really so bad? If I suddenly wanted to do the new Mec specific content, then I know I'd have to level a Machine Rep RSI, or change my own rep, it's a choice I'd have to make.

Unlike before, the storyline content now extends further than just doing a mission and has moved into gameplay content, so ANY gameplay content has to have certain requirements, in this case its tied to Rep and player level. The main problem here is that people don't seem to understand it's no longer just storyline content, but gameplay+storyline. Storyline alone can be set without any level requirement, but gameplay can't, otherwise what would be the point in leveling at all.

I can't see how Rarebit can change this, because if he does, then the storyline content is standalone and he will need to make MORE content for the high level players, for gameplay, and it's clear this has been done so the storyline and gameplay fit into 1 grouping of content, so don't expect this to change anytime soon, unless Rarebit wants to extend his work load more.

I agree, the past no longer should matter in regards to the little time the game has left. Quite a few of us put a lot of time and effort into this game and a part of everyone who ever was involved in trying to make the game a better place is also getting "shut down" when the servers do.

Hopefully we get a few more good times in before the end.

Sugaree is entitled to her opinion and facts are always dependant on who hears them and how (which makes any facts rather a jaded subject here).

I think trying to argue certain points is kinda getting old now, who really cares, are we really trying to score points against each other now? After the servers turn off, these forums dissapear, we will all be in our own forums, communicating with our own friends via various methods.

There are MANY things that made this game head on a down slope from the start and there are MANY things that made this game great.

On the issue of community, you know what makes a community addictive, the positives and the negatives. If we didn't have our battles and wars, then the community wouldn't be what it was, we found our friends through these battles and in part had respect for our enemies from this too. There were people we hated/loved/liked/admired and all the rest, but what matters most now is how we choose to end our time together. I'm sure many of us will run into each other in many places and I welcome anyone who wants to continue to keep in touch with myself or any FH'er.

The past is the past and nothing we can do to change it (could we ever?). I think we should just be thankful for what we had and remember the times we had together, both good and bad.

I think we've been fortunate to have the game as long as we did, considering the little man power and resources been given to it. I personally never thought we'd see an end, kinda expected it to keep ticking over a bit longer, but when the one man who had been putting a large amount of effort into the game, Rarebit, left it was on a matter of time before someone suggested that it would be better to close the game than let it live a dead life. You can't keep something on life support forever, sometimes you have it let it go , no matter how hard that decision maybe.

I see no point in suggesting a server transfer all to 1 server, with no future updates and no ongoing storyline, I rather see this game rest in peace than live to not even be a mere shadow of what it once was.

Trust me, the amount of time and effort I have given this game since it opened is a very large amount and while I would love to see this game never die, I don't want to see it like it has become now. I think it's important for us to move on and I'm sure I'll change my mind about that back and forth until the servers go offline, but I strongly believe we all must now move on.

Absolutely. They will never find a community that had what we did, the Matrix brought together a interesting group of people and a large variety of talent. As much as some people may claim the community was not as strong as people claim, you need to look deeper into the arguments we had.... we had them cause we actually cared, this was more than just a game, it was a war (in a good competitive way).

I hope they just open up the servers to all accounts in the last few weeks. What have they got to lose? They will have to keep banned accounts banned, but at least let the people who played this game enjoy it's final days.

It was hard coded into the game that FH would "win".

hah, well we never did use exploits, but it was sure nice for ppl to think we won cause we must have sploited! But I'm not here to debate the issue, believe me or don't, the end is nigh :/

He did. Ironically  I do have the SS somewhere, cause I was suprised myself, but true colors show up at certain times. Me and Ves were friends once and we were both in CD, but things change. Eh, this is going into things that just don't matter anymore.

I think there will always be someone or some group that will be against certain people rurning a forum, because ultimately, unlike these boards it is VERY likely to at some point have a unfair baised reaction, and you can't blame people for thinking that.

So I believe the whole community will flood to a single board? nope, just like the Matrix itself, we will end up in our own little pockets of resistance, these boards were our Zion.

MxO Mainframe doesn't look too bad, but regardless of any problems I know I've had with Symm in the past, I know he would run fair and equal forums. I'll jump around a few forums and see where people end up mostly, but I think like many I will have my own "home" forums, in my case being the Fallen Horizon forums.

So what might be a better idea is for a vote on which forums the community would prefer to class as our new "Zion", as it were, and then list your own remote base locations, so if people wish to stop by those places, they can.
