geez, people complaining about rewards is annoying, go do it elsewhere. So Smith is a Fanatic Self Improver? Makes sense I guess. Looking forward to Monday!
Edit: Ouch, I just realized this is at 2:00 pm...which is 12:00 for me. I have class from like 10:00 to 1:00 and then 2:00 to 3:00...I think I'm going to go vomit and cry. I don't know why but I really thought the event was going to be later than this. I knew it was earlier than typical event time, but not this early
Edit Part 2: I just realized that this is actually like 4:00 for me, which is great! I really almost gave myself a heart attack. I need to figure out those "numbers" that people keep talking about.

It lasted a pretty good while. I wasn't looking at time but I'd guess around 45 mins or so, maybe give or take 10.
Grats to Grod, but you should have waited like 10 more seconds for me to watch him die!
It was a fun event, and I got a few hits on him and il'd him. I still don't understand those bonfires though.

Oh I think I'm going to vomit. Losing Cinematics is terrible. I'm pretty sure it has been said in the past that losing cinematics would be the first sign of SOE letting this game go. It's only a matter of time before the fire Rarebit, and the storyline stop completely (in which case I will vomit on my keyboard, slam my face into it, and cry for 7 days). That was exagerated. Really, I trust Rarebit on writing the storyline, but the Sentinel better be AMAZING from now on if it is replacing Cinematics. I'm just saying, there is alot of pressure on the Sentinel writers. If it is done really well and the story is told well without the Cinematics things will be fine. If the Sentinel fails, my keyboard is not going to be usable any more. Does this mean LESIG signups?

I'm recalling the Oracle telling the Cyphs and EPN that they will have to protect Sati, or something along those lines. I wonder in what way that will be incorporated into this construct.
Oh and BTW, those screens look great. I can't wait to see them in action.

Wow, somehow I completely missed Sati in the second picture until like the third time I looked at it. Well a lot of people thought or hoped that this might be a construct that Sati, Seraph, and possibly Morpheus Sim are hiding in. It would make sense with the Sati sky, the Mara environment, and...Sati. And who wouldn't want ninjas in there construct?
Or maybe this isn't a construct...maybe Sati will unleash her wrath upon the city with constant good weather and crazy ninjas!

Yes, katrinna most definately sucked...I live in southwest louisiana, luckily all we got here was a nice cool breeze and a few sprinkles, however my dad JUST moved over there for a marketing job at Fairfield resorts a week ago. He's been out of a job for almost 3 months thinking he'd be able to work with Aflac, but they lost his paperwork and still havn't found it. Once again he's out of a job. Its amazing how this hurrican is really going to affect so many people, especially with gas prices rising even higher now. Thanks to everyone for all the prayers. If you havn't heard about the threat of coastal erosion, now would be a good time to learn about that....that is going to be a major threat for us in the near future as well...

Katrina didn't really affect me, as I live in South West Louisiana. We got a few new students and anice breeze for a while but thats it. If this hurricane comes a bit more North...I art screwedeth. looks like schools is letting out friday though . This thing really shot up after it entered the warm Gulf Waters. It didn't seem like it was gonna get this bad until here recently. It looks like I'll get some bad weather, but certainly not the worst of the storm. maybe some electricity outage and a few downed trees here. Who knows, good luck to all those who are gonna be getting the brunt of the storm...I am on the east side, which is kinda scary buut not the worst. Soooo yea.

It's an NPC. He is making Female Ninjas. That much we know.
Imagine the players' surprise when they logged in that Thursday morning and were immediately ganked by swarms of pirate NPCs.

I get it now!
Rarebit is releasing wild animals all over the city and these vans are Wild Animal Protection Services! We have to wrestle (IL) the animals until a van gets close enough to send out NPCs to collect them! Then we get paid with cat paws which we can trade for phat loot!
I called it!

I disagree. Despite it most likely being impossible to implement, we still can't run/jump faster than a speeding car. So, call a taxi your operator for the closest hardline location...
Yea, thats my thoughts. I'm pretty sure hitting a hardline and running/hyperjumping is faster than finding a garage (I guess we have to store our cars somewhere eh?), then getting somewhere in the slow traffic we have (speaking of traffic, driving would completely destroy the system of traffic being a user setting and traffic would have to be the same for everyone, or non existent, so that it wouldn't look like cars are going through one another. )

Some people...Look I've been a huge Matrix fan, I pre-ordered, I've got a shiny (invisible) Beta Badge, so on. There really is no need for people who pre-ordered to be getting upset. If Mobius was never released to new players and suddenly it was released to everyone, then you could get upset. The fact is that a group of people were unlucky and unable to get the Mobius code. Not because they did/didn't do anything, just because of a decision by devs/marketing to release this item for the players at certain times. There is no reason a vet shouldn't have the opportunity to get an item that a noob gets simply for joining the game. The item is already not rare as anyone can get it by playing a trial account. If you are going to be upset about not having vet rewards that's fine, but this case is unrelated to that.
Anyway, looking forward to some gum.

Personally I'd rather big events be focused on what's going on in the story rather than anniversary/Halloween/Christmas. I don't know how this Smith business is going to mix with the Intruders, but I hope it somehow makes sense. As I said I don't care for the concept of these events so much, so if the devs want to focus more on improving the game/new content, then I say recycling big events with minor tweaks is a great idea if it gives them more time. Also I wasn't here for last years event, so I'm looking forward to it.

Look, you guys keep bringing it up, but I really don't see the problem with using the archivists to enter. Proc said it is mind-numbingly tedious... *click hardline location *enter building *do absolutely nothing at all for a few short minutes there are few things in this game that are less tedious than this. FFA is not ruined by this; in fact, if you are entering the construct at the same time as someone else, you know beforehand that someone else is going to be there for you to beat up on/get pwnd by. Also, by increasing traffic to the archivists, players (specifically mid-level players) may get involved with the other things to do there (arhcive constructs, archive missions stat-hack, org construct). My question to rarebit is, will the seperate data node spawning areas somehow be marked off? for instance, "Now entering level 30 Data Node location" or are we just going to have to go off of that map and learning the area? Either way is fine and understandable (gives those who take the time to learn the area a bit of an advantage), I'm just curious.

I'm tired of so many people leaving, lets get a good count of who's staying around and sticking through longer. With a soon return of live events and things slowly getting better, I'm back in action. A shame to see so many well known faces take off, but I realize that ya gotta do what ya gotta do!
