I made this thread last year and it seemed to be a hit, so here we go again. 

This is a thread for you to share what you got for Christmas.  Don't try and one-up each other and don't make up things to make it look like you "beat" everyone else.  Just have fun. 

My haul was relatively small but nice.  Here's what I got:

I also got an iPod docking station and a 160GB external hd, but i'm trading them both in for a Wii.

Ok, I've been testing out this cool lighting stuff everyone's been doing and I can't seem to get it down.  I tried it on my new sig but it came out like this.

It just looks odd to me.  It doesn't have that insane glossy effect like the rest do.  Maybe I'm going to minimal?  Idk.

Any tips etc would be appreciated! 

Edit:  You know, maybe if I actually spent more time trying I would get it.  O.o  I'm such a quicky runthrough person.  Lol.

Yep, that's right.  I'm leaving.  If it were up to me, I would stay forever.  I haven't lost interest in this game at all, I still love it.  But money is a factor and time is a factor.  School is starting on August 10, which just so happens to be the day my subscription expires, and last year this game took up too much of my time and I started slacking off.  This year is substantially more important and harder than last year and I don't want to jeopardize my grades, etc. 

Sadly, although I've been apart of this community for over a year, I never got to know many of you personally.  Most of the people that I still talk to aren't here anymore (my faction, X INTENT, for instance, which will be laid to rest the day I leave since I'm the only one in it).  Anyway, what that means is I don't have people to thank individually.  So I'll just say this.

Thank you everyone for making my first experience in an online game the most memorable I'll have.  You all will be missed.

Hopefully I got this all right the first time around since I can't edit my post. 

I will more than likely be back in 5-6 months for a month so my information doesn't get deleted.  And, hopefully, I'll be back with more money and time than before a little later on.  Don't wory, I will never forget the people here or this game and I could never abandon it.

Ok, here's my problem: I go to school.

Let's just say I have a lot of free time at school and during that time I think it would be dandy to get on the forums.  Only problem is that our IT guy blocked the forums.  Reason?  "Games." 

So, does anyone know how to get around that without being detected?  I really NEED the internet for school related stuff so I don't want him finding out and then blocking me completely.  Any help would be appreciated.

Oh yeah.  It's a Sonic firewall thingy.  I'm not completely sure, but I know it has the word Sonic in it.  =P

First off, I'd like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas or Happy whatever you're celebrating this time of year.  The holidays aren't all about gifts, but we can't deny that we get them.  So how about we share what we got this year?  This is not a thread to flame other people because they got more than you or they got less than you or whatever.  It's just for fun and maybe you'll get some good gift ideas for next year.  :P

It's my first venture into background size images and I'm pretty pleased with it, other than my unsteady hand causing some choppy lines.

This thread is ONLY for Forum bugs and suggestions.  Only post if you are adding something, please.  I'll start off with my list.

1.  It's too hard to tell when you've completely read a thread or not.  Unbold the threads you have completely read, like the Lith boards.
2.  We NEED an EDIT button.
3.  Divide the stickied threads from the regular threads.  Icons aren't enough.
4.  Bring back our old sig size.
5.  Give us a column that gives us the number of how many replies in a thread that we have not read that is also clickable and takes us directly to the first reply that we have not read yet.
6.  I, personally, liked my purple name.  Can I have it back?  The green matches the Character names too much.
7.  There is no indicator icon for threads that you have replied in.  I liked the green arrow (lith boards).
8.  The Search function needs dire improvement.
9.  The Last Message column in the Forum Index was better when it showed the last THREAD made, NOT the last REPLY to a thread made.
10.  Where have our macros gone?
11.  Why can't we have our nickname the same as our station pass?  That was a stupid feature to begin with.  Take it away...please.
12.  There is no way to get back to the Forum Index when you are looking at a "Messages Posted by" thread. 
13.  I much prefer the term "Locked" instead of "Blocked"  IBB (in before block) doesn't really work....not that I do that.
14.  It needs more customization.  ex. Thread views per page, replies per page, etc.
15.  No one really cares about the views column (at least I don't).  Replace it with the How many unread messages suggestion.
16.  Censor is screwed up.  It let damnit slip by yet censored a mental disability that begins with R and ends in a D.
17.  The Trackers need some love.
18.  Quoting needs dividers like the last boards.  Right now it's hard to tell whats a quote and whats the actual post.
19.  Handles that match the station name should be allowed.
20.  Avatars may be too big which starts to look sloppy and unproffesional (just my personal opinion).
21.  Preview post option needed (lith boards).
22.  We need to be able to quote someone after you've clicked the Reply button instead of having to go back to the thread and click the quote button.  Just put a Quote button in the editor.
23.  Just forget about the sticky icon, it's not enough.  Seperate it with a prominent line from the stickied thread and the regular threads.
24.  We need lines in the thread view so you don't have to follow it with your eyes to get to the other side of the screen.  People with widescreen monitors will be thuroughly annoyed.
25.  Take away the "World Forums" link in the Forum Index and just put the World Forums on the front page.  It's just another extra click that nobody needs.
26.  "Forum Index" and "Top" are the exact same thing.  Why bother?
27.  To they take away a clikc for the abilities forums but add one for the World Forums?  Seriously rethink that.
28.  When you click the Back button on your browser, it does not update the forums to tell you that you have completely read a thread, unlike the lith boards that updated it when you clicked Back.
29.  It sometimes looks sloppy without alternating colors for different threads (lith boards).

That's what I could come up with on short notice.  Please, add more.  And yes, I took some of these thoughts from other posts, so props goes out to you, whoever you are.
