Ok, first up this whole issue could of been resolved with a simple tell to one of us asking to simply cut it out, but obviously it was resolved by other means.

 

Don't pin what im about to say on DE. Im not talking for them right now, but for myself as a player. But out of all the pvp we been through bro you cannot say you don't complain or sh1t talk in this game. Everyone does it! Whether you will acknowledge it or not. I do... Not saying I never do it, but yeah sometimes I dont like the odds. But you know what? Thats the beauty of this server. As for the pvp statement you said. This is Vector bro. your right...i do talk trash. alot. I remember when the odds where always against mervs. and i remember all of us being irriated to no end with zergs, teams of hackers, teams of mkt's. and ive always complained about it. When DM was big, we sometimes did they same thing. and i usually stood back and watched in amazment as we would do what we griped about zion doing. when i pvp, and i come across to people fighting, unless im sure the odds are that they will have back up comming, ill leave it alone. when im fighting and one of my team mates comes to help me, ill tell them to back off. ive always played like that. to see a whole faction..a faction of mervs that i would normally ralley with, gang up and zerg like zion. well..it annoyed me. not to mention that alot of the faction aren't even merv. just alts who joined up to be in a big faction for whatever reasons.

its a pvp server, and your right. you can pvp how you want and if i dont like it i have the right to leave. but the fact is...imbalance is the reason pvp sucks. and when any org/team/whatever chooses to cause the imbalance then when they spend 5 min pvp'ing, and the rest of the time standing around gloating theres nobody to blame but themselves.

id rather pvp, bymyself, against 5 other people. than get on a team of 5 mkt and gank one person. i have the right to pvp like i want just like you have the right to pvp how you want. im glad you had fun with your FFA. but from the tells im getting, only de ( minus a few of their members ) had any fun. the rest of us just sat back and were reminded of why we became mervs in the first place. to avoid playing the way de seems to have *devolved* to playing.

P.S. no offense to the zionites that do know how to properly organize. you know who you are.

Free for all is fun and all. And i guess if you have a pretty big faction ( prob most of the active players no matter what org they have alts with ) then you dont need to worry about annoying other people. Still..when i pvp against my own org, which is rare because i have a problem with guilt, I at least keep from turning it into a gank fest. Hell, even with zion or machine i wont interfere in a one on one just because i get embarrassed if somebody helps me. anywhoo, pretty annoying night. but oh well...they game is comming to an end so what do i care. its just pvp.

sadly, because i resubbed june 2nd I will not be able to play until july 31 and see the end of mxo with everyone. Life goes on and it was fun while it lasted. Thanks for all the memories/friends/enemies/laughs. There will never be another community like this one.

yeah, resubbed for the last two months. hopefully alot of people will do the same and we can at least all go out with a bang...or maybe some great pvp at a minimum.

yeesh...no more matrix. that sucks. I've been away but always knew the matrix would be here if i wanted to come back. guess i was wrong. Ill probably never play another mmo again, since i pretty much hate these types of games anyways, but something about kung fu, guns, and pvp made me a crackhead. ill miss everybody here, even the ones i hate.

sucks..ill be workin for most of the day friday. so i guess im out of the chance to win the most cq's. i prob would have won too = P

but i get off work around 7 or so and ill be able to catch an hour or so. hopefully everyone wont be all pvp'd out by then.

i dont know about you guys but it seems to me that ever since this thread was started we've been having alot more pvp. i wonder if because someobodys always posting its making the people who dont log in as much think they are missing something..so they log in more often..wich means more people to fight with..and more post's. this is a  good thread. lets keep it up.

had fun fighting the small wave of zion's and machines today. even as short lived as it was right before all the mervs logged for dinner, lol.

what we need is a kill to death ratio. how many kills you have compared to how may death you have. play time means some..but sometimes you just log in and dont pvp. or take a long time to level. so playtime dosent neccessarily reflect wether your good or bad.

plus i dont personally count cq's from beta to a few months after launch. you oculd kil the same level 2 100 times in a row and get a cq everytime. plus you could just go afk on a team and collect every cq as well. alot of people that dont deserve a high cq count got them because of that. after they fixed it it was harder to rack em up.

id love a cq leader board that was updated everymonth from here on out with the following information

cq's earned

cq's given ( death )

overall kills

overall deaths

playtime

flagtime ( for nonhostile )

then rank us by percentage on a monthly basis. with rewards going to the best of the best. gawd..id probably log in twice as much for that.

good pvp but dont over exaggerate it. even with machines and mervs teamed up(and with my area hacks and their area hacks we still were kinda fighting eachother as well)the fights was pretty even. we were just relentless and your two healers couldnt keep up. and the system did approve us teaming up. didnt want zion to become over confident and sometimes great pain has to be endured to achieve neccessary goals. we didnt like it any more than you did.

one thing i never understood is why when people quit mxo for another game they feel the need to come back to our forums and brag about how good the other game is. a bunch of em did it when they moved to wow, a bunch did it when that one game with the big robot and little elf thingys came out, now they are doin it with conan, the loinclothed tarzan on steriods game.

i remember once i got bored and made a machine alt..then i only rp'd and never broke character with him. i got into Jokerz and a few of them suspected me of being an alt..some of them thought i was a dev and some thought i was just a good rp'er. i got to level 29 or so before i got sloppy and found out. actually..i could have denied and probably kept it goin..but i was bored by then so i just fessed up.

I laughed because of the familiarity.  Oh, the amount of times I received a tell saying something like "Guess I know who my friends are now." followed by P3aceAndL0v3 does not exist or is offline.  It's ridiculous.  If you're such good friends, then you should both understand that getting on with PvP and fighting each other is all part of the fun.

Too many players seem totally incapable of differentiating between fighting because that's a huge, fun part of the game, and fighting because MxO is a real life war, we all hate each other with extreme vehemence and should act accordingly.

On-topic, it's been Merv and EPN overdrive for far too long.  Good to know it's coming back to the middle, once again.

the machines these days..for the most part...are pricks. i used to be a huge fan of the machine/merv truce when the zion zerg was in effect. but since zion dosent have the numbers they used to i basically help whoever is outnumbered. but here lately i help zion. not because i like zion..but because i really dont care much for the machinest.

pvp is cool. ganking..well..its something you do when your a new fifty but kinda preschool imo. i dont gank a single player just because i have 6 friends to back me up knowing they will all jump in. the machines do and its pretty annoying. im not gonna pvp against 6 people myself, lol. so when they get outnumbered i find it fun to snipe them and help the other guys. maybe its petty..but its payback for the time i have to be bored cuz 6 geeks wanna gank instead of pvp.

and when the machines loose and log off ill pvp with zion just the same. but atm zion has alot of players that dont gank you just for stepping into mara c. ive chilled and dueled with alot of them and when pvp breaks out they kill me and i kill them. its just pvp.
