That the Oracle was the keeper of the anomaly and chooses to give it to whoever she sees fit? In that case it was inserted by Machines and Neo was a normal man before meeting her.

Knowing that Trinity would fall in love with Neo could be the reason she gave it to him. None of the previous Ones was ever in love, she saw Neo as a way to change the system. She could have very well given it to the bald kid.

He did, perhaps unknowingly. He returned to 01 to seek peace defying his purpose, but giving the Machines his code back. He died in the process, but I'm guessing at some point all Ones die, but their code survives and is reinserted. I just watched the scene with the Architect and he pretty much states that the code (or perhaps soul) is put back into the system (a new body). And since the Matrix was rebooted maybe The Intruder is the anomaly 'unchecked', as Archie puts it. Not Neo himself, just his essence. Depending on your belief of reincarnation, the new being either retains its memories from its past life or it doesn't.

At least that's what I was thinking when I started typing, but, the term anomaly implies that the One is simply a natural occurence that chooses its own carrier.

As for The Intruder, I wouldn't mind him being some fragment of Smith. As baseless as that sounds.

I always thought this guy would be perfect as Max Payne.

I've only played the first game, it starts off nice then the story takes a weird/unbelievable turn towards the end.

In the first movie Neo makes a comment about his eyes hurting, Morpheus replies its because he's never used them before. This happened in the real world, whether that translates over into the Matrix, I'm not sure of.

From a movie-making point, the director of Underworld in the commentary of that film, made a big note to point out that the actors in The Matrix wore sunglasses so audiences wouldn't know that the actors had their eyes closed while firing their guns.

when i launch the game to create a character my monitor goes out of range.

this was a problem i had with counter-strike: source but a graphics driver update solved the problem.

so i updated again and it still goes out of range. anyone know what the problem is?

my video card is a 64mb geforce 4 mx440.
