I am sure that many others find the subscription system a little bit restricting.

The minimum you can buy is one month, but then it's recurring, so if you want to stop for a while, you have to cancel the sub!

Does SOE have any plans to introduce a 'pay as you go' or 'top up' subscription plan, which will allow players to subscribe for shorter periods of time, and on a non-recurring basis?

Something like this will bring many players back (albeit for short periods of time), simply due to the fact they don't have to fork out a full subscription just to play for a few days or a week, etc.

Yes, this is yet another leaving post, and I'm sure there will be plenty of 'You'll be back' and 'can I have your stuffs' replies after this.

The answer to both is no.

I would ask that you all read this post carefully, and please, no flames, I am not referring to anyone by name here, so there really is no reason for anyone to start anything.

I've had a lot of time to weigh up everything while levelling up my third level 50 on Syntax (the nicest spare server any MMO could wish for! ).

I've thought about my accomplishments and failures over the last 3 years, and have compiled a little list.

Accomplishments

- Among the first true level 50s on the then Method server, as in a character levelled without using the 'sweet spot' mission building exploit (or other exploits that came to light later) that got people to 50 in record time after launch.

- Was in the team that won the first major player event (Kill Rage on the Iterator server), which many have tried to replicate without the same success, Bravo to the KoN faction for putting on an event that still to this day, has not been equalled in terms of content, planning and originality.

- A member of the group that was the first to complete Pandoras Box.

- (Re?)Discovered the 'Mothernodes' which divided the community, this prompted the devs to do more work on the dataminer tree.

- Racked up 1000 CQ points on Vector SOLO, in less than two weeks.  This led to constant and blatant harrassment, which I still have yet to receive any kind of an apology for. 

- Racked up a few account CQs, policing info 'sweet spots' and datamine, reporting 'gold farming' activities.  I have yet to receive any kind of thanks or recognition by the CS staff for my efforts.

- Levelled up my third level 50, which may not seem much, but not many players have 2 level 50s, let alone 3!

- Oh, and maybe I'll should get something for this; staying true to the movies, I have never played MxO with a complete end to end cabled connection.  I've always 'broadcasted' over wireless!

Failures

My mistake on Recursion was taking part in the most pointless argument ever.  The devs and CS staff have the final word on what constitutes an 'exploit' and what does not.  Nothing good came of it.

My mistake on Vector was thinking there would be more than a handful of players that would appreciate skill and a little honest competition.  I brought some skill over (whatever you may think of me, you must at least give me that much recognition!) and took a certain group of players to task over their use of exploits and use of another language to get away with writing seriously offensive material that would get anyone banned had they written in English.

I was both vicimised and vilified over it, even though I was in the right.

My track record on Syntax is pretty clean, apart from constantly referring to it as the 'spare server' before actually playing on it! Spilt milk, I guess.

Conclusions

After everything I have achieved and all the water that's gone under the bridge, I am left with one question:

Where do I go from here?

Do I carry on pointlessly PvPing and causing more drama and headaches for myself, or do I continue relying on the game's content to occupy the time I am jacked in?

I've done both to death, and I really don't think I have enough interest to keep going with it.

All of the friends (and some enemies) I have made have either moved on, or are never on at the same time as me, and I'm only able to stay in touch through forums or emails at this time anyway!

I have taken the decision to bow out.  I am still subbed up until the 15th July, and will be around in one way or another between now and then.

As for where I go from MxO, the answer is really, nowhere.  I can't stand WoW, and I really can't get into Eve, it's too much of a headache for such a beautiful game.

I guess I'll read more, take more walks, watch more movies and TV, or even maybe hit up some overtime at work (REAL powerlevelling!).

I'm not deleting anything this time, as I may pop in for a month here and there in the future.

It's been interesting coming back this time round, seeing who's still here, who's doing what to whom, and who is finally showing their true colours!

I still have much love for this community, and will cherish a lot of the good times I've had over the last 3 years.

Many of you know already know me, and my rep.

I'm levelling up here and will hopefully get to know more of you better (especially in battle!).

I'm sure I'll be flamed like crazy for my almost constant referral to Syntax as the 'spare server'.  But before my thread gets killed, please be mindful that I meant that in terms of competition between the other two servers only!  Just to put the 'spare server' remark into context, think back to the pre-soe days where we had loads of servers, more spares than we really knew what to do with!

I'll be levelling like a mad man again, as with Vector, I'll be doing it alone.

Don't be too surprised if you get sniped in PvP by Derfla in the next month or so!

If you see Derfla, show some love by giving a /wave!  I'll be grinding, so I may not spend a lot of time talking, or respond to you immediately.

Imagine controlling your RSI with your thoughts as it should be!

Flame away those that aren't happy to see me back, I'll just report you for your trouble.  Otherwise, those that are happy to see me, I thank you in advance of your posts.

I've left before, and yes, I came back!

However this time, I will be gone for good.

There are a number of reasons why I am cancelling;

- Lack of support on some serious issues by the CS team (players using exploits, unnecessary personal and racial abuse are but only a small number of problems that have not been addressed to my satisfaction).

- Lack of community support on important issues.  Seems nobody cares about players being victimised until it happens to them.

- 1337ism.  I'm sick to death of that childish crap! I've beaten the best from Recursion and Vector without the use of heavy numbers and was polite about it as well.  Take your N00b XD crap and shove it right up your arses, ya bunch of 12 year olds!  See how far that gets you out on the streets.

- Still some rather annoying technical bugs that have yet to be resloved since BETA, with the game being live just short of 2 years!

- My own circumstances have changed, which means I can't log on as much as I used to anyways.

- Most of the folks I kept my subscription open for last time I left have also moved on from the game.  It's just not as fun without them.

I can't rationalise paying a subscription for a game that is still rife with fundamental bugs, a game where some players blatantly get away with serious violations of the TOS on an almost daily basis, leaving those victimised with flim flam and the 'company lines' from the CS team.

I know when I'm beaten, I'm not paying another penny while favouritism is shown and ignorance of genuine player complaints continues to be ignored and swept under the carpet.

Nobody need ask for 'my stuffs' as my characters have all been deleted, and can't be resurrected again (one time restoration already used).

To all my buddies I leave behind, I wish you all the best and admire you dedication for sticking with this, what with the daily abuses of the combat system, and aggravation from players that really don't care about it, simply because there are clearly no consequences for using exploits or being abusive to others.

I thought about doing a 'H4TE' and smashing up the CDs for your amusement, however I am not enraged to do it, I just feel more disgusted than anything else.  So I just threw them out.

I'll be taking down all the MXO related images from my photobucket account and permantely deleting them as well.

At the moment, there is a huge police manhunt underway for the killer of 5 prostitutes in the Suffolk area in England.

2 bodies have yet to be officially identified and linked to the case.  I believe they are, and it's just a matter of time before they're linked. 

Jack the Ripper killed a disputed number of prostitutes in London during the 1890s, and the Yorkshire Ripper, Peter Sutcliffe killed a lot of women in the 1970s and 1980s.

This latest 'Ripper' seems to be on a major killing spree, racking up 5 dead hookers in the space of 6 weeks.  3 of the bodies only being found in the last couplw of days.

I'll post more on this as the story develops.

Yes, it finally happened!

A tornado touched down on my fair city.

It hit an area called kensal Rise, which is very close to where I live!  I'm thankful that a) it didn't land in Maida Vale, and b) nobody was killed.

9mmfu asked me to post in here about an issue I, and a number of other players have been experienceing.

Other players think it's fun to spam heals and other AOE buffs, which causes lag as illustrated in the pic below.

My system more than meets the spec for the game, and I run the gfx at the lowest settings, so can someone tell me why this still happens, and why nothing has been done about it yet?

Also, can I expect to read an announcement asking players to stop spamming heals? I have reported this before and just got the usual flim flam and nothing happened as usual.

...so someone can tell me what happaned in the last two deleted threads I was posting in?

Or perhaps someone can write me a PM?

I have returned from the pits of Vector, and some real life induced exile from the game!

After showing most of the Vector 'elite' up by levelling a char solo, racking up 1000cqs in a fortnight, and taking down most of their top guys (or the ones with the biggest mouths) without the use of a 'zerg', I feel the need for some Recursion lovin'.

Oh, and last time I crossed paths with Amarrossa, she had to drop major heals to avoid the 1 v 1 beating I was giving her, just to negate the impending 'DUEK ME CWOWARD' response.

It just baffles me that PDZ can litterally get away with cowardly insulting people and their families, and yet as soon as someone says it's not right, and asks for an apology, they launch a hate campaign against them.

I have still to receive an official apology from PDZ concerning their remarks towards me.

This will get locked I'm sure, but I'm drunk right now, and don't give a rats azz.

Special thanks to IgnitionX for being my guinea pig in the second video!

On a separate note, going into concealment with enemies nearby is not an exploit, as that is determined by the system, not by anything I can do, the incident I am referring to happened earler today, and the system allowed me to conceal, as the enemies weren't close enough, so nice try calling 'sploits on that one! Again, you know who you are!
