The purpose the Machines created for themselves keeps them rather busy. Control is an illusion, a lie. Sometimes when asked direct questions the Machines simply do not answer. Depending on the question, when an answer is given it is usually far from a direct answer. In short, they lie, period. It is one of the few things humanity taught them.

 

I guess depending on ones age rolling over and going back to sleep after you are fully awake and have had around 8 hours sleep might be possible but I know it isn't for me. When I'm up and about, I'm up and about. Rough analogy I know. Maybe Rarebit can just send an email to the Wachowski's regarding reincertion and they can reply with a simple "yes" or "no".   After that we all can mull over the reasons to the answer given, non?

A quiet hum of code echoes across the dusty and deserted basement. Adding its own soft sound to the crackling fire rising from old oil drums and the dripping water from the water lines above, creating an eerie yet soothing symphony throughout. Only one figure, dressed in a black prophet duster, dress shoes and mirrored sunglasses, stands within this basement. Silently; watching, concentrating, and meditating on the shining green monument floating above his head. He listens to nothing but the hum and the barely audible beat of what sounds to be a heart. Doubt, sadness, and fear all fill his mind.

"What would you do?" he asks aloud.

"You saved them over destroying them. Allowed them their power rather than strip it away, and yet it has lead us no where."

The figure removes his glasses. His brown eyes gazing deeply into the code, trying desperately to find some meaning, some source of information that he can use to answer the questions that are driving him mad.

"He claims to have known you, and he did. But did he truly know you? Do any of us know you? We all know that it was love that pushed you to it, that lead you down that path paved by the Oracle, the creator of it all."

His hands remain tucked behind him, unmoving, the same hands that he once believed to be building a road to peace, now being questioned as hands that have only brought about destruction and chaos.

"Are they right? Did you only save them because it was the only way to save us? No, they have the right to live just as we do, they are capable of everything we are and you knew that. Your sacrifice was for them just as much as it was for us."

He sits down, on the cold damp floor. His legs crossed as he closes his eyes and focuses on nothing but his questions.

"Peace is what you wanted. Were we right to allow something like the truce to continue for as long as it did? Or was that just the start of the peace? Did we ruin it all by breaking away? Not wanting to be patient and fulfill the warning you gave them after you had awakened."

The message, he had heard it hundreds and hundreds of times before. His words he had them memorized.

"Show them a world without borders or boundaries, without rules or control. Show them the truth. But how can we? The mistrust, the hate, none of it left with you. Were we to quick on the draw, all to ready to go to war? Neo, what would you do!"

His voice cries out this final question, begging for someone, something to give him the answer, echoing all the way to the floors above but nothing returns his cry. All that can be heard is the silent hum of code and soft heart beat.

"You died to stop the fighting, died for peace. The fighting continues, the peace is gone. We still bicker about our differences, but maybe..."

A smile slowly creeps across his face as the thought finishes out within his mind. His answer has come. He quietly gets back up and formally bows towards the floating code.

"Thank you, wherever you are."

Ok so let's assume for a moment that we are all religious and believe in a heaven. Would a Machine/Program/Exile go to heaven? If so or if not, why?

Doesn't matter which religions as they all have somewhat different takes on it, just make sure to state which one.

To start us off I'll bring up Christianity and ask a  few questions. Now the Christian faith believes that it is only through an acceptance of ones incapability to atone for their wrong doings and reliance upon God and his son Jesus to make that atonement that one would be allowed into heaven.

Now with just a first glance one would say yes because all that is needed for this to take place is a program running that has the Machine believe such. But would this be enough let alone is it a real belief or not just some programmed one? This then steps into other religious beliefs that good works are what gets you in, but if a program has one set of rules and is incapable of doing wrong does this still apply? They are not doing it for God or for others but only because they are programmed to do such.

This works the other way to. Say a program is created to be unable to depend on God for salvation or is incapable of doing "good". Are they to be blamed for there misdeeds?

As if the city was not already in enough hysteria after the recall of several widely known house hold foods all from the Pendhurst-Amaranth Corporation, police were called to settle a massive out of control gunfight that arose on the Bathary Row Warf and made its way through out the Westview area ending in Rogers Way. One eye witness that stumbled upon the scene had this to say. "They came out of no where and surrounded this guy just sitting their watching the water. They talked for a bit. I overheard someone say something about poisoning the water supply. Then these two guys just opened up on him. It's a miracle the guy sitting their lived through it, he then started fighting back! The rest of them got into it after that and people started dropping like flies! I ran as fast as I could to a pay phone, called 911 and locked myself in my apartment for the next week, People are crazy these days man!" City officials could not comment on what the exact purpose of the gunfight or those involved other then that several wanted criminals part of a new wide spreading cult among redpills called "Neoism" were implicated in the feud and that one terrorist alias "Crop" was killed in the battle. It was later announced that Crop was a member of the terrorist cell "Unlimit" and was planning to poison the cities water supply.

"You ever thought about what you're reading? Not what's inside of them books but what it would mean? If the answer is in there don't you think they would know it too and make sure it never touched those little hands of yours? Hmm?" His grandfather asks, rubbing sleep from his eye and smiling at his grandson.

"Grandpa, its in here somewhere, how else would they have found it?" The boy waves a hand towards the desk littered with news articles. All thoughts of being sleepy long gone from his mind.

"They know something gramps and one day I'll find to!" His eyes filled with determination and a passion that screams he means exactly what he says.

"Hoho! How many times have I seen that look? Well you have school tomorrow so to bed with you sonny. If it is in them books it can wait till tomorrow."

The boy hangs his head grumbling about wanting to keep searching but he knows what his grandfather told him was true; it can wait, can't it?

Not sure if this is the right area for it but could we have either the names of the lvl 100 Agents that spawn on Zion or the lvl 100 agents that come from data nodes changed?

They both read just as "Agent" and for Zion/EPNers data mineing in downtown or outside of richland its hard to tell where the Agent came from. I just spent about 10-15 minutes killing an agent that we thought was from a data node only to find out it was a district spawn.

A very important question in this time and day but one that hardly any know the real answer to. Oh sure we all hear how Zion moveing to a safer location and steping our of the sniper scope has caused it but was that really it? Lets ask the Agents.

Agent Gray: Operative, Cypherite spies have confirmed the existence of a new base built by Zion, intended to protect them from the threat of extermination by our Sentinels should they break the Truce.
This action itself directly undermines the function of the Truce. We have been directed to prevent Zion from extracting more humans from the pods. The use of force against Zion operatives has already begun.

In the summer or fall (I forget which) of 05 two others and I found a sting of data in the MxO programming that when decoded read "Pluribus Neo". From this we naturally came up with our own assumptions of what this could be. We figured at first it was a new org similar to the Cypherites that had yet to be revealed and would be the Morpheus Org for MxO. Well we were wrong in a couple spots but from that moment on I had basically found my purpose in this game. To become apart of that org and make it something great.

I tell you this not to brag about my foreknowledge of the story back then but to give you an idea of where I come from in my RP and in RL. You see back then us three all agreed that the Zion org sucked. It was full of noobs and idiots running around that just wanted to be the next Neo. We didn't want that to happen to "Pluribus Neo" and just looking at the name it doesn't take a genius to figure that it was almost certainly doomed to end up that way. And the two that went on to do this have (IMO) worked there balls off in trying to do this. From setting up a relay to getting everyone on the same page purpose wise its been a trip but sadly these days it looks more and more like we failed. I guess we were fighting the inevitable and its left me bitter to the people that seem to be speeding it along.

Now again I'm not saying this to fill my ego nor am I fishing for congratulations. I'm telling you this so that when you see me arguing for my org or with others in it it's not because I may hate you (minus one person but we will get to that) but because I'm looking out for the org. To give you a visual I'm sorta like the friend of the mother and father whose kid I look out for when there away. The kid being EPN and the parents being the story and rarebit. And because of that sort of attachment to EPN I tend to take things that go on within it very seriously. Like recently, I didn't mean for an argument about a certain commanders opinion to become a full out RP flame war. I just wanted to correct someone on a mistake they were making. Road to hell is paved with good intentions I know I know but yeah. So now I hope you know where I come from in my RP and arguments.

That being said I have a few people to say sorry to.

First to the Community, next to EPN you guys are the shiznit (and there are only 3 other things that can claim to be called that by me) and I wish there was more one little faction leader could do for the community. I'm sorry for the seemingly constant disruptions I may be causing in the LE, NR, and PE forums with the arguments I get into. Just tell me to **Welcome to our forums** and take it to PMs or something next time ^^

Second to the EPN Community, trust me when I say I don't log in thinking "I'm the best in EPN" actually I log in saying "who needs what done and what needs fixing, oh god *CENSORED* why is this taking so long to load." You're all awesome and the dedication from the FLs and captains is top notch. While there are a few of you that I may think are a bit confused on what EPNs all about, meh well that's life and as long as your not blowing *poop* up I'm cool with it. So sorry about acting like an elitist egotistical a-hole

Lastly to Havocide, I know you don't mean harm in the *poop* you do. I know your like me and just want the best for whatever. Why I dislike you really I don't know but I think it has to do with just the spam, arguments, and other *poop* that I see you get into on the forums and being a EPN commander and one who should be setting an example (yeah I noticed the irony in saying this)  it strikes a nerv with me. But hey that's how you play the game so whatever. I just need to learn to get over it. So sorry for all this *poop* I've been giving you recently and just jump on your MOD account (that's a joke just FYI) and delete it next time it happens.

Okay, so we all know that after the B166ER trial the machines all went to the middle east and craeted 01. But this raises a question. How in the hell did they manage to do this? I mean take a look at that area and all the stuff going on over there with Isreal. None of them want to give up there land for another nation of humans so what would make them do it for the Machines?

Since the story first started and we all picked who we wanted to follow a lot has changed in the Matrix, especially now. Zion continues to be pushed around by the Machines and make hasty decision with other groups. The Machines have been lying to us about Cryptos and reinsertion not the mention going so far as to overwrite red and bluepills memories. The Merv makes deals with anyone while continuing to show he is only interested in himself while trying to kill the Oracle. Cypherites are just the puppets of the Matrix and there org is in shambles thanks to Gray and Cryptos. And EPN continues to fanatically free minds, follow goose trails leading no where, is hardly organized in knowing what it's true purpose is, and avoids the real problems while dealing with the minor issues.

Despite all these flaws most of us still stick to the org we feel is "right". So my question is why do you still stay where you are and why do you believe that they are still "right"?

Just don't turn it into a flame war and respect others views mkay?

Feel free to add your own words of advice so that we can properly train those that we awakened in the art that was used to free them.

1. You have to be like Morpheus. There is no other way to extract a blue. You must do everything exactly like Morpheus. Be sure to use his over used quotes from Alice in wonderland. Heck if you can get the purple pants suit and trench with the round shades you're a sure in to free his mind.
2. You must have more then two people present. Fifty is a good number to have and make sure its not just all one org. The more diverse and large the group is the better chance you have at awakening them. Remember to over crowd him by getting in real close and shouting in there ear. They must feel as uncomfy as possible and they can not possibly have time to think about anything.
3. Don't use streets when escorting them to the REP. Streets are evil. Make sure you run through as many gang infested areas as possible and remember DO NOT kill any of them.
4. Forget about the bluepill it's the red one that matters. They don't want to hear your truth? Shove it down there throat. They will thank you for it later once they are freed.
5. Anyone over the age of 70 must be freed. So what if the mind can't take it at least they will know the truth in there old age!

Dear members of the Syntax RP Community,

Please stop creating alts for on going LEs or LESIG events for the purposes to obtaining info for your org/faction from other groups working on the same thing as well as handing over misinformation that you give in order to seem like apart of LESIG or LET. It's very annoying sorting threw the info you handed over that wasn't apart of the original plot.

I was never one for dancing around issues so I will be blunt with you all. Since day one the misconception of EPN has been my prime target of fixing but after one and a half years of hard work and despite all my sincerest efforts it has gone unchanged. Which is a shame considering that I believe once it is cleared peace between us all can finally come about. However this peace can never be obtained if there is never any sort of trust, relationship, or connection between us all. Perhaps this is where my flaw lays. The solitude I placed myself into, only hearing of the outside threw code and monitors and not from the people themselves allowed this misconception to root it's self within the minds of everyone and there were none there to show them other wise.. So in an effort to reestablish severed ties I have decided to meet with any that are interested to try and gain their trust.

You may be asking what a washed up commander from a "fanatic" organization can possibly have for you. Well I can tell you that my research in the operations of E Pluribus Neo is extensive. There is not much that goes on with them that I do not have knowledge of. I can tell you that in the two years I have served during this truce I have seen most of it and can give you eye witness testimonies of what it as like to fight the Assassin, or witness Invalscaro's power first hand.

With that said the rules are simple. If you have a question I will, to the best of my ability and knowledge answer it as best and as truthfully as I can and in return I ask that you do the same for me. Years ago messages like this would never have been heard or seen in such a public manner. Machine and man were at war with one another and the law of survival was to kill or be killed. Things have changed since then. Some call that change a truce. Neo called it peace. We call it a gift, and with this gift we are now all offered choices to make something of ourselves, choices that let us to go on to bigger and better things no longer being bound by the tyranny of war. Using this gift, the organization E Pluribus Neo was founded by a group of individuals seeking to honor Neo's name and legacy. Individuals that refused to sit idly by while groups try and bring the truce to the breaking point or manipulate one another in an attempt to gain control over them.

Many have dishonored our beliefs, our name, and us by using our leader's words and teachings and twisting them like the fanatical Christians and Muslims in our history so that they fit their own selfish desires. We can only apologize for being unable to stop these extremists in time and offer our sympathies to those whom they have hurt, but this message is so that those fanatics no longer have an excuse to shed blood, tear apart families, and free the unprepared. So that none can say they did not know. So that all will see what we are here to do and so that all who read these words will know the truth about E Pluribus Neo and understand its agenda and purpose.

We believe that Neo wanted everyone to have the freedom to choose. That he died so that everyone could have a choice. We as redpills are now in almost complete control of our lives, no longer bound by any rules except those we humbly submit to ourselves. But why not the bluepills? Why are they not allowed the first step to this freedom so they can decide if they are ready for the truth? We understand that not everyone is ready for the cold caves, the god awful food, and the reality that is the real world. We are not asking nor have we ever wanted all of humanity to be freed and forced to live in such conditions. But why are they still denied a conscious choice to accept or deny the real world?

The subconscious choice humanity is given now is not enough and has been proven to have flaws. Humans become aware of the choice, but do they understand how to choose or even understand what the choice is. Yes, some are privileged to have access to a computer or know the right people in clubs. They are easily found by redpills and can be offered the blue or red pill. Others, however, are left for dead in this world. They are not able to find a way to be noticed by recruiters, inevitably hurting the people around them and the ones they love as they try and make sense of the splinter in their mind. Even then, there are still those that are never aware of the choice or the option of another life, but would kill for a chance at a fresh start. Those whose dream world is a waking nightmare they are forced to live daily without any hope to ever start over.

And there are those that accepted this world. Those that love it and feel they are blessed to be part of it. Those that live unaware of the subliminal choice they made so long ago and are believed to be better of without ever knowing. But is it right to never tell them then what it means to accept the lie? To cover up the fine print that comes with the deal of a lifetime, this freedom to live a normal life at the expense of what they define to you as being your normal life? Is withholding this piece of information the price of their freedom? Those that take the bluepill are given the option to make it all seem like a dream, but why are most not even allowed that.

We, the organization of E Pluribus Neo, want to change that choice. We insist that a bluepill's choice no longer be decided subconsciously, but consciously. That they are told all that we as redpills were while being presented the choice: that the world around us was built as an elaborate prison and is not the world in which we were born. That by submitting to that prison and those that govern it, they hand over their right to freedom over their mind and body. But, also, that they are warned of what it could mean to leave: that the real world can be ugly, horrible, disgusting, hard to bear, and ultimately means giving up everything you once knew to live in an unknown desert.

We do not believe that this will create a massive uprising against the system or create enough strain that it and the machine city can not continue working at optimal levels. All it will offer is a more conscious and full choice which, if the one out of one hundred person ratio is correct, would do nothing to alter it except solidify the choice they supposedly have already made. This would also eliminate the need for people to search for potentials allowing them to instead come to them. Additionally it would eliminate the worry some have concerning methods of recruitment redpills use. If this system were installed and governed by both the Machines and Humans together, then there would be no concerns as to whether this process was being conducted properly or not, and those that are afraid to return just to reawake because of a redpill can finally go back to sleep without fear of waking up again unless they choose to again.

But, until such changes are made we will continue to free minds the way Neo himself was freed and continue reaching out to all the bluepills within the simulation despite not having authorization from any authority and we will continue to use such items as code pulse devices to help gather information on bluepills and uncover the hidden truths of our worlds. Our methods of awakening only include the two pills and an explanation of what each does and what the Matrix and real world are. Our ways of gathering information from the Matrix and mainframes are conducted by using devices that leave no scratches and do no harm to those in the area or the simulation. Devices such as code bombs, forcing a mind to witness something it can not comprehend, or spreading diluted half truths about the real to manipulate the decision and wreak havoc on the simulation were not the examples Neo showed us in how to awaken a mind and discovering the truth. The only reason for using these methods is driven by selfish ambitions - ambitions which seek the destruction of another race or self gain. We believe that Neo died for all beings, not just humanity. As Morpheus put it, "He saved us, he saved them, he saved the Matrix." We do not seek to destroy something that Neo gave his life to save from destruction.

Our enemies are only those who manipulate Neo's teaching and use his name in their fanatic causes of destruction and deceit. Already we are at war with a man that teaches others that Neo was a coward and only looked after himself. If that man were to truly listen to the events that people witnessed, or even think about the things they say, he would know that Neo was one of the humblest men in all of Zion. To bring Neo down to the level of Cypher is a slap in the face to all he died for and we will not stand by and allow it to continue. But this war is not against people who wish to return to an easy life within the simulation. We believe Neo died for choice, and to deny someone their choice to return to the simulation is as much of a crime as denying them a redpill when they seek a way out. We may not like it or agree with it, but we will not stop it as long as the only person choosing is the person going back.

Because of our willingness to do what we believe must be done we have left the Zion Council and have been denounced by them. As wise as the Council is we do not believe their decisions to be in line with what Neo would have wanted and no longer feel that their guidance in this truce is in our and humanity's best interest. We have also left in order to protect Zion from another war. Our actions and words are not "Machine friendly" and for that reason it has become necessary for us to leave our home. But even after being denounced and ridiculed by its soldiers and council we hold no hatred towards Zion and do what we do for its protection and the freeing of its brothers and sisters.

In closing, the E Pluribus Neo organization is one dedicated to the life and example of Neo. It strives to bestow the gift of choice he gave us to all humans and to honor, uplift and defend his name for his actions and what he taught us. Foremost, it aims to change the systems that still bind all living beings in the name of control so that all humans, programs, and exiles might be able to see and live in the world that Neo envisioned for us all. I know the sentinel has been updated and that MxO resorce has links to most of them but im looking for the issue that fell between the current issue and the "unexplaned river deaths" issues from Augest 06.

After the event with Agents running drills and seeing if there operatives bomb diffusing skills were "efficient" a lot of talk has been going on about what it is that these devices do.

Now my first thought was it was simply a device that shot some stuff into the ground and brought up anything that was found "important" or "odd" in the area to the surface and that was all there was to it

Turns out I was wrong. Now this conversation with Liaison Officer Tygrvason (EPN) started with the simple question of "can bluepills see the gold code the devices emits?" his reply was....

"Redpills are able to 'see' what bluepills cannot, similar to how dogs can detect sound above normal frequency. We are more accustomed to noticing and adapting to changes in the code. Furthermore, the pulse that is emitted merely 'reads' code; it does not alter it. If I may use a concrete comparison, the device works upon a similar principle as 'radar detectors' have been used. A signal is emitted to locate certain frequencies and report back. A scrambler however, is manufacturered to emit a signal which blocks opposing frequencies from detecting it. These devices are illegal under most bluepill laws."

So to sum it up, the gold shiny code we all see workings its way from the devices after detonation is a signal similar to a radar as in you have to have extremely good hearing or in this case sight to see it. That signal in turn is able to penetrate threw the code and rebounds off it after being set to pick up certain pieces of interest which then are interpreted and translated back to the origin while also being hidden so that it goes uninterrupted and unnoticed. Nothing is extracted or inserted minus a small series of waves that then dissolves after extending a certain radius similar to radar and relaying any information they find.

Will be happy to answer any further questions to supply chat logs of the conversation if anyone feels they are needed. Also if anyone as a screenies of the details of a CPD before going off I would like to see one.

It was perfect, too perfect. A flawless execution with the fruits of years of planning right in front of me, just waiting to be taken. The operation was one no one could or even would think of dream let alone doing but I did. And best of all it didn't matter if I lived or died. I would still be remembered being as great if not greater then Neo himself to humanity and Zion. Bringing a real end to the war and not this bull *CENSORED* truce we have going on today.

All the days I spent planning, the *CENSORED* I had to put up with from those that claimed to be real Zionites most of whom have never in a sentinel let alone know what its like to have one try and kill you. The years spent trying to gain the Agents trust all the while listening and watching them. Examining every movement they made and every word they spoke. Learning their minds slowly and in the end I would almost call myself an Oracle for Agents. I knew in my mind what every move they would ever make and what they would do in any kind of situation. Like the Oracle I knew it all.

But I still skipped one very, very important detail while planning.

I had him, right in front of me with the gun drawn and aimed at that old wrinkled face of his. I should have known something was up when he just kept giving me that same smug smile he always has on in front of humans. That "I'm better then you are" grin he was famous for and all I could think about was how great it was going to be to wipe it off him forever.

We just stared at each other. My gun in his face. He moved his finger and pressed a button on that little pen remote he has. I should have shot him there but curiosity got the better of me. The circle walls of Televisions instantly disappeared and were replaced with white. Pure white all around us like in a loading construct and hurt to look if you tried to find the end of it all. Which I shouldn't have taken the time to do, not that it mattered anyway.

Because I had to overlook that one detail.

All that white, that pure white was soon blocked from view. They came out from no where. Just appeared out of thin air. No bluepill host or anything. The formed a perfect circle around us and for miles they seemed to extend from it. A sea of black suits and guns all focused on the same point, me. I already knew what they were waiting for. Any hint of movement from their target. If I so much as flinched now they would fire. It didn't matter thought, as I said even if I died I would still be honored above all others and never forgotten. It was all I could do but keep from smiling knowing in my head that I had won.

But that look. That same look that bore into me was still on his face. Just staring at me, no sense of fear or anything, just that same look. I pulled the trigger. They pulled their triggers. You thought hearing one gun shot was load, try hearing over a million at once. But I had forgotten that one very important detail. The architect was a god, and you can not kill a god.

The barrel of my gun only one foot away from his head and he dodged it. Only moving his head to the side. His chair never moved, his body never moved, only his head. And now as I fall to the floor in my own mess I realize that I was right. The war and the truce were now over and I would always be remembered and never forgotten. But the victor was not humanity, it was the Machine.

((So i coudlnt sleep last nigth because I had this little senerio running threw my mind and decided to turn it into more then idea but a short story. I really wish I had some sort of artistic abillty so i could draw this as a comic and not just write it but I think even in writeing it came out decent. Oh and FYI the main character isnt Gami. The event never happend as the end should tell you. Just a sort of non matrix canon fan fic thingy  I guess =P Anyway Feel free to add your own if you have any and coments are always welcomed.))

The cellphone rang just as the roar erupted from the crowd.

"Hello? He. . ."

Hats flew into the air in the cliché manor that was seen at every graduation. Chris Archer, however, who so desperately wanted to emulate his father's demeanor, remained dignified and orderly as he exited the ceremony into the entrance hall. He considered ignoring the call, thinking that he deserved at least one day off. But there was the case of that missing little girl, and a possible link to a known techno-terrorist. . .

He bypassed several of his fellow academy graduates who were looking for congratulatory backslapping and promises of shenanigans immediately following the ceremony. As far as he was concerned, they had done what they came here to do in performing this necessary, yet useless function, and now it was time to move on to the next phase in life.

Walking into the pedestrian tunnel that circled the outside of the auditorium, he stared at the phone number on the caller ID screen, trying to recall if he had seen it before. He was just slipping the phone back in his pocket, when he heard a voice from behind calling to him.

"Mr. Archer, congratulations on your graduation from the Mega City Police Academy."

"Thanks," Chris murmured, as he whirled about to face the brown haired, black suited man that stood now stood before him.

"I feel it appropriate to congratulate you on your recent promotion, as well Mr. Archer. The force has never had a newly appointed Lieutenant straight out of the academy."

"A Lieutenant sir? But I-"

"We believe you are more then prepared for this tasks you now face, Mr. Archer. Perhaps one day, you will even join us in the ranks of the Agency and find out what it means to truly be on the front lines."

"Wow. Thank you sir, I am not sure how to respond except to say that I appreciate the confidence you have in me. I'll do my best to not let anyone down."

"I am sure you will Mr. Archer. We'll be in touch."

The suited man turned and walked back into the celebrating auditorium, while Chris regained his composure. "One more thing, Mr. Archer," the tall Agent turned back from being half-hidden in the shadows, "The case you're currently working on is of particular interest to us. It may bring you into contact with some . . . unsavory characters. Just keep in mind that we have our eye on you, and that you are not alone." He continued into the auditorium without looking back.

Lieutenant Archer took a deep breath and proceeded to walk out of the building to hail a cab. Although he was flattered to get such attention from an agency such as the FBI or CIA, that Agent gave him the creeps a little. And it only partially had to do with the reminder that they would be watching him like a hawk for the next couple of weeks.

However, by the time he got out of the cab in front of the decrepit brownstone he had inherited from his parents, he had regained his jovial mood and was feeling proud of his accomplishments up to that day.

"Following in your foot steps, Dad" was the only thing he could think about the rest of the day.

He had forgotten all about the mysterious call he had gotten just before meeting the Agent.

To start in no way shape or form am I trying to say that we should all be all knowing characters that know every detail of everyone's life. However there are three things that lately have suddenly become "taboo knowledge" the  Live Events boards, cinematics, and the movies. The point of this is state why each of these things should be allowed to be used IC.

Live Events: This surprised me when someone said they were not usable. Why not? It's a message board on Data node one something that has always been referred to as a means of redpills to communicate and in which information has been taken off of and used IC. So why is it now that the LE boards which is still apart of DN1 is suddenly off limits? I brought this up in another thread about a thread by Agent Gray in that board. But first according to some knowledge gained off the LE boards is considered as you "god modeing" unless you were there. Well then recursion machinist are full of them because how else would they know about this meeting huh? Not to mention as I look back threw a few threads I see a lot of IC responses to events that the characters were not there for and shouldn't be arguing there case on. After all LE boards OOC right? Messages posted on the LE boards are apart of DN1 and should be seen as an IC report on what has happened and yes while it never says that its an RP board how many responses to the events do you post that start off OOC?

Cinematic:  Same as the LE boards. IC we were not there so how do we know it happened. Surveillance cameras maybe watching it? Well that would make since but what about 5.2 where we had those two people fighting and no one knew what the heck was going on when that happened as a LE. There was a camera there to see it so they should have know right? And what about with Morpheus meeting the Oracle in 1.2. We were not there to hear it but then how do we know that happened. Last I checked no one that was there ever said that meeting took place so how do we all know about that? According to the same logic behind the LE boards we shouldn't know that information ether but I can't think of anyone that plays dumb to it. Then why do we know it happend? Because we are ment to know that it happend. Thats why they put out the cinimatics so that the player base knows what is going on.

The Movies: Now this one has more to do with private conversations and events that happened. We were not there IC so we shouldn't know about it. Ok well then why is Debir court so special again? And what's up with some freeway chase I keep hearing about. Who's the keymaker and why dose the operator in Pandora's box get a weird vibe from the government building and why do some Zionist see it as a special spot? OH even better. Why do machinest all of a sudden know who the architect and his status before PoBS?  Only TWO people saw him. The Oracle and Neo. Ones dead the other has never mentiond him to anyone and nether has Gray or Pace. Its always said that he's just some kind of higher being then an agent but where you get this idea that he made the matrix is just weird. same as the cinimatics the movie are there because we are ment to know what happend before the MxO story line picked up. And both LESIG and LET show us day after day that that is how there supose to be seen. There always asking questions or anwsering them that deal with thing in the movies and the Architect is a perfect example of just that. Hell even the LE characters know thigns they shouldn't accorind to the "you were not there" rule. The Kid for isntance in this thread quotes Neo. He wasn't there, he wasn't even free yet but why does he know that quote? OMG GOD MODER! No its just expect of him to know it and expected of us.

Is it so hard to believe that such a simple reason as to why you know something is that they hacked a mainframe, read it in the Zion archives, or saw it on DN1? People now are calling for elaborate reasons and when they cant find one there own they just write it off as OOC knowledge.

I'm not trying to force anyone to use these tools and add them to how they play there character. That's up for you to decide. What I am asking is that the people that choose not to use this info as IC knowledge stop accusing those that do as "god modeling" or being some all knowing being. We all have our own ways of RPing so don't get upset when someone uses tools that you don't.

I think a few people have brought this up but lets get a thread on it for in here.

The Faction Panel needs some real work. Anyone who has been or is a faction leaders know what a pain it is to clean out the faction from inactive people, monitor other peoples crews, make sure that everyone knows a meetings is coming up and so on. As it is the only benefits to being faction leader is you can withdraw and deposit info from the bank and getting to say "I lead such and such faction"

So what can help solve this? Simple. A way to bring up a drop down list of all crew members in crews, An ability to boot anyone from any crew at a lower rank then your current one and a "message of the day" ability for rank 1 captains to have a  set message appear after logging in.  The faction broadcast looks to be the attempt at this but its broken and unusable. These things do sound minor in terms of game content but they would make factions leaders jobs a whole lot easier.

this thread got me thinking . Awhile back someone sent out an email asking the most active members of the RP comunity if they felt it was time to move RP away from tabor West. Most of us (as far as I know) said that yes it was but nothing was done. Now while i knwo that it cant just be a hardline that kills the RP but shortly after RP moved to TPW the RP kinda died a little. PvP and parities(that really have no place there) took over the HL and most of the chat these days in TPW is OOC and not IC. The exact opposite back during the old Sphinx days on Linenoise and the birth of Syntax. now im not taking the lead on anything mearly asking for opinions and suport on this idea.

Move the RP somewhere else.

Tabor isnt cutting anymore and is now just as OOC as mara and just as likely to find fighting at. Now while this is just my opinion id like to see if anyone shares it. Places to possibly move it would be back to Sphinx, Camon C, Ked C and duality even. Personyl I like the sphinx idea and maybe takieng the RP back to where it was as its prime will pull everyone out of the slup we seem to be in (again just my opinion)

So whatcha think? Back to Sphinx, to another spot, or stay in TPW?

if people do decide to move it then it will take a group effort to make that the habbit and to keep it there. Like with the first time this was tried everyone was all for moveing but never did it.
