Strangely enough the first person I spoke to was Flood on Day 1 of Preorder, he came to Mara and personally invited me to come to Polyvinyl to meet with "Someone who had an interest in my future". He did this to several people and we were ushered in to meet the big man himself who gave a little recruiting speech to about five of us.

The first player I met was Veks of CvC.

The only real issue I had with it was when after about fifteen minutes of rounding up what support we could. Organizing it, and returning to the club we found it org locked for the Machines.

You can talk about furthering the storyline- well we tried to keep it going in a realistic way. Locking us back out, despite the fact that we were still a small force goes against the grain of what should have been considered acceptable after being zerged the way we were. (and then as the support dwindled because- well god knows at that point real irritation had set in- the machines zerged out and got to free cq us again- originating in the shot a few pages back. I don't mind what happened initially but the rest was just bad form devs).

Like I told you in TPW today North- I'm sitting on the Afropill. I'll be happy to look like you with a big white fro.

Everyone in Con appreciated getting emailed the invite twice as well...

I assumed you were in the cool kids club by default, Py.

All I can say is...I feel your pain.

3 times in less than 24 hours this has happened to me.

SOE: Should be some time today depends on the number of tickets in game has though.
ME: I don't follow, yesterday both times this happened you all had the issue resolved for me in less than five minutes.
ME: So today it's 'some time today'?

Edit, because I want to clarify that if someone wants to play an Exile or a Vampire or a Lupine or Machine, that's their business, but when they make it their platform to say that is what they are and screw everyone else in the Org name that they carry until Live Events start up, it really bugs me.

One thing that has occurred to me, due to the fact that I am a recent returnee to the game is how this event would look to new players or Merovingian Operatives who have only recently come aboard. Personally, while I think this was horribly handled event, I'm able to accept it for what it is.

The thing is this, I've managed in my month back to level to thirty, and as such, I don't mind being the occasional CQ point for the sake of fun or rp. People have seen me flag up surrounded by 50's just for the pure fun of getting to take a shot now and again. BUT, again, were I a new player who had just come around, been made aware of a party via the forums, stood around for hours then been force-flagged and later mocked by the overwhelming number of pwnjoo machine players who were there, it would seriously make me consider where my money was being spent.

New players are skeptical enough, things like this give them a reason to uninstall and cancel. I'm not trying to make that sound like a whine, it was just something that had occurred to me.

You are being compensated time for time. Pretty standard from MMO's.

Quite frankly I think it would be great, not because we deserve it for one day worth of trouble, but because I am greedy for XP and Info.

However, I'm quite pleased with the extra two days.

Spent yesterday afternoon farming for male hair dye #25 with my faction. Found it yesterday, used it.

I have to agree. I refuse to believe that 'hardware failure' = total character wipe. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong but I'm sure it's not that dire yet.

Issues like this make me wonder why we pay $15 a month at this point. Surely it can't be for supporting WoW sized server farms. While I understand that the LE team needs to be payed, as well as the few devs that are left, it would make a lot of sense for this game to come down in price if the money we pay is going into a giant vacuous black hole.

While I think the Mod's post was harsh given the fact that the game had been down for over 12 hours and that people use these forums to vent frustration. That thread was getting a bit ridiculous. When I went out last night there were three pages filled with quote arrows (I don't know what to call them)

And while we do pay for the game, you've lost time wise maybe 55 cents real world money in all that farming time. It sucks, sure, but hey, it's almost summer, maybe it's a blessing in disguise?

Edit: I'm not really defending Juryman's tone, that was uncalled for- but the thread was mostly spam.

Just jaw dropping.
