In summary:

I know a pretty good secret for farming hideout loot, which I have never told to anyone.  (There are a handful of other people who know, either from discovering it on their own or learning it from a faction mate.)  I'll reveal the secret soon enough, but it's a little too early right now.

I could never get it right with hacker, I always seemed to attract him to me, with guns, I could just get far enough away where hed stand still and let me fire away, hed drop dead id get down loot, repeat

Really?  That's odd, I haven't really had any problems using hacker so far.  I managed to kill him in less than 2 and a half minutes, and I didn't take a single hit.  Although, I have not yet tried this in Sakura, only Yuki, but I would expect him to act pretty much the same way.

Back in August of 2008, there was a mini-event with Harkee and a Machinist named "Consonance," whose bluepill name was "Sarah Edmontons."  However, I don't think it was ever revealed whether or not she was the real Sarah Edmontons.  I can post the chat log here, if anyone wants to see it.

I left my mech syntax org, but remain a captain of my ship.  My rep's still at 21.  Maybe I just have to grind my way to 30+...

I'm pretty sure you need to disband your ship before you can become a Merv.
