The matrix was definately a good movie/franchise. The philosophy has been around for a while, but I think the movie really brought them in the open for a lot of people. Also the combat and FX were wicked ephin' cool! As this chapter of the matrix closes, I doubt we have seen the last of it. I'm sure it will resurface if given enough time.

Nice take on everything, sugaree. I like reading about other's opinions. Even though we didn't meet from being on separate servers, you were a presance on the forums and we will all remember the work you put into your summaries for us lazy folk who couldn't seem to do all the contact missions. *thumbs up* Personally I think I put most of the blame for the game's condition on WB and Monolith first and foremost. As we know in the beginning they found the game costed too much and the fact they gave it only four months is testament to the fact that WB thought it was going to be a massive money-maker to cash in on. After they saw otherwise, instead of scaling back (slim the LET, program more static content, slim large Dev team down, ect...) they auctioned it off to the highest bidder. not to mention people urged monolith in beta to not only take time to add more content, but fix some bugs, they didn't listen. Without SOE MxO would already be dead. That doesn't mean SOE wasn't at fault either. Communication between Walrus and Virrago (or whomever) should have been better. SOE should have programmed more static content and not bothered with CR2. they could have limited IL combat to one-on-one withouty CR2. They could have stripped all the buffs off the clothes and made clothing stets or find a way to give more clothing choices without CR2. I wouldn't have taken as long and other things could have been worked on as well. Once i saw that WB was selling this game to SOE, I knew the game was done for. I didn't realize it would have took this long to die.

Dude, Sony doesn't care. they're in business to make money, apparntly that means withouty MxO. This community has been trying for YEARS to save the game. Everything from word of mouth to people printing fliers. Hell people even made a myspace for mxo! Still didn't work. Sony's a large company, they don't need to worry about a few gamers who play their games as they could pack up their MMO department and still make money off their other merchandise. Games and mmo's just help make them a little more. Sorry to kill your dream, but you have to face it that MxO IS ending. If you want to "save it" that much, start cracking on the encryption for a private server, that's the only way it will happen.

Does this means that eventual there is a chance that MxO still stays online? Sounds like the big resonanz of old players should make you thinking about a new solution ?
Yes, to play to the very end of the game, you had to be subscribed in some fashion by June 1st. If your subscription was up later in the month (IE June 20th) you will get refunded for June 20th for the matrix online, and you will still have access to MxO til the server shut down. If you weren't subscribed at all you won't be included. what they mean by "eventual" is that it will happen. they are not going to keep the game open for free past the timeline specified. they used that word cause eventually they will close the servers, but it won't be right away.

I can agree with that. But I think SOE at the very beginning did have plans to keep mxo running better, and WB made it hard for them to do so. I heard that many from Monolith stole storyline info and engineering manuals for the game when SOE took over and the rest of the team was transfered to other games or let go.

I doubt we'll see anythign dealing with the matrix for a very, very long time if we ever see anything. From what it looks like The Wachowski bros. have moved on from the films. I certainly hope some people can get a private sver for mxo running, illegal or not. Also saying people who didn't like the second and third film becuase of it's story is stupid. They story and it's suttle aspects were easy to understand if you paid attention. What I personally didn't like about them is they didn't have the same charm as the first movie. I would have liked to see Neo ascend to the power we see him at now, from the first film. I wanted to see the struggles of a newly awakened One and his choices. Not the crap we were given. I hated that Neo could use his power outside of the matrix; he should have been completely human like everyone else. I hated the use of CGI in them, as it removed the gritty realism of the first low-budget film (which is still happening now in other films actually). I also hated the fact the movies were one large one, and shot at the same time. I would have enjoyed them better if the films were three pieces with a beginning, middle and end. That said, I still played MxO. Eventually I got a friend to play for a while, but the lack of game content made him go, and eventually me as well.

This game was extremely fun when I played and I made a good many friends: Catzi Gerik Arkiya Skyscream Armitige Gami Mona20 (from recursion) Euphraxia Ooz XElite Shixinfeng And anyone else whom I've forgotten. I love all the memories I have of this game and am happy to be part of it. It was the one MMO that got me into the world of MMOs and showed me why people Pay-to-play them. I give WB my thanks, Monolith my thanks when so many companies pulled out of production, and SOE for stepping up and buying it when no one else would. I wish things could have been different, but I am happy to meet all that I did, and hope to see you in the game's last few months. Even though I left the game a while ago, I still check up on it from time to time, and I was hoping for better, as I am sure all were.

Hello everyone. I'm currently looking for a series of items in the level 45 - 50 range and was hoping many of you would be able to help me. I'm wiling to pay for the items, but I would request that you send me the source code and I'll compile them if there is more than one charge. that way if they break, I'll have a back-up. Also we can negotiate price.
The items i'm seeking doesn't have to be the exact ones, but there are the ones I could find in my own archive, however I'd like keep the corlor scheme to match as close a possible to what I currently have. The colors are teal / Turquoise.
Here is what I need: teal Turquoise Crush Tankini - or similar top
Here's how it looks:

Just a few more notes, I'd like to keep the shoes to short boots or pumps if possible, and stay with skirts. the rest may be changed if it needs to be. Also I'd like them to be shielded or enhanced. These will be primarily RP clothes but I'd like to have some resists should I have the need to fight in them.
Thank you all for helping.

Sounds like fun, I'm looking forward to it.
Also RP isn't as distant as you think. I know many people who RP and love to do so in game. It's just that many people who do RP keep it small with their friends and factions. I think the reason why is because a group or individual of people would work hard and at the end of it, see their hard work torn down by a faceless mob on the internet. You can only take so much of, "lol that sucked. Back to Mara."
Still, it's nice seeing others making an effort of some type. Let me know when it is and i'll try by best to be there and participate. Might bring a few friends along too.

Also there's this:
Architect: - Greetings, humans.
- I am the Architect. I created the Matrix.
- You are undoubtedly confounded by my decision to establish this communication.
- Do not let this perplexity divert you from following the instructions I am about to reveal.
- Since the aborted reinsertion of the prime program, there have been an objectionable quantity of anomalies.
- Even after accounting for the fluctuations due to human rejection of the simulation, there remains an unaccounted for and increasingly high number of these anomalies.
- This is, of course, unacceptable - and great pains have been taken to rectify the condition.
- Despite the historical efficacy of these procedures, the current anomalies do not correspond with our existing indexing methodologies and resist being quarantined.
- I have therefore made a rather abhorrent and altogether regrettable decision.
- Specifically, I am seeking your help.
- The anomalies in question seem to bear a more than superficial resemblance to the integral anomaly.
- To be more explicit, they share qualities with aspects of the one you call Neo.
- Why this should be so is irrelevant. What matters is that you assist in revealing the meaning of these anomalies.
- Although it is with great disinclination that I reveal this information, I believe that it may assist your impulsive and disorderly thought processes.
- Upon supplementary analysis of the anomalies, the following error was returned, ad nauseam.
- "?????"
- I genuinely doubt that you will present us with data of any consequence; however, alternative contingencies have been all but exhausted.
- It is improbable that we will speak again.
That is from the Live Events Team that used to play major character roles from the movies, whom took their cues directly from Chadwick. Also here's the link: http://www.mxoarchive.net/archives/...teriousSpeeches
EDIT: Also since you wouldn't see Reloaded as proof this speech takes place AFTER revolutions in MxO.

on your first jack-in click the "world events" button in your options menu and /friend all the LO's listed for the server you choose. As soon as you figure out your alliance IMMEDIATELY get in contact with them. They will keep you informed when events are about to happen. If you don't the game can get pretty boring, pretty quick and you'll be sorry you didn't.

Alright, I had to reply as this would even make Neo /facepalm .
Not sure how long you've been playing, but go to the Zion, Merovingian and Machine archives brokers and buy all the missions for epoisode 1.1 - 1.3. This will give you insight on the beginning of MXO and the end of Revolutions.
As other have stated, the smith virus is still around inside various blues. Your character as well. Also this gives credence to the recent rise in gang activity (explaining the mob NPCs and a more hostile matrix). Also look up info on the very FIRST live event called Race to find The One. The idea behind this was to collect Neo's essence that was still in the Matrix in the form of code fragments. There were recent events where Smith had somehow returned in some form or another as well.
One more piece of evidence the Architect even said in a Live Event that the prime program was NOT reinserted to reboot the matrix.

Well recently on Syntax, I farmed a good amount of SSR gum to sell on the marketplace. So last i heard 1 sold for a bout 1 million so a stack of 20 should be around 20 mill (let me know if the value decreased recently). Well, I notice the stacks of 20 aren't selling so I attempted to de-list a few and spilt them up into singles or smaller quantities. Well when I did so I noticed that instead of delisting the item, the system log tells me that I BOUGHT the item! My own item! All I have to say is *CENSORED*??
Now I noticed when you list an item there's a Fee column, I always figured that this was a small fee for having an item sell on the marketplace. So if i have an item for 500 info and a fee for 100 info, I assume I've made 400 info for selling this item. I have no idea if this is correct anymore. Also I noticed that some of the Fees are equal to the price of the item. I have another stick of SSR Gum selling for 20 million and there is also a Fee listed at 20 million. Does this mean I both make and loose 20 million!? Or is this the fee I must pay in order to de-list the item I'm selling? I'm not quite sure anymore.
Also what exactly calculates the fees in relation to the items listed? Does each item have a price cap and anything over that becomes equal value?
I submitted a /ccr in game in hopes that someone could explain this all to me, but it seems that they can't, won't, or don't have the time to.
Anyone else encounter this? If so, I can see why no one uses the market place anymore since you loose more money than you make by using it.

I woldn't mind some other danger of other orgs either. It seems that Zion is always the single org to have things spawn. Let's get some level 50 - 100 Agents spawn on Merv reds/exiles. According to the lore, they're always being perused by agents as the machines look at old programs as being "waste of resources". Also this should have been added since the beginning IMO since this "war" will never end unless the matrix ends.
Also as said before, lets get some level 53, 3 chevron reds to spawn on agent operatives. When the war is "over" they stop spawning on both orgs, and maybe replaced by a new enemy. Also crits are more detailed so you'll know what happening if you do them.

Yeah. I'd like a big matrix city update of some sort to happen. Maybe not a new district per-se but something added / changed that isn't all eye-candy or just sits there for ever after people figured it out. stuff like new recordings / files during missions, updated contact missions, ect..., ect...
It's surprising that in a game world this huge, they never made an attempt to just randomly add / change things and purposely NOT put it in the notes, so when you happen upon something..... Would really feel like the matrix again if this would happen.

Keep in mind that the Zionites wouldn't attack the agents as such, but their operatives. As you said it's war, and if a group of Zion's find a mech allied redpill signal close to their operation, you'd bet your *CENSORED* they'd try to take the threat out. It would work perfectly fine with the current war storyline. The thing is other orgs don't want spawns on them period, but zion seems to be okay.
Also I'd love to see more agent activity like was mentioned. When you tag a node you should still have agents come after you, it would take a little longer to trace the signal (IE it would be scrambled). Also the more you bend the rules of the matrix (Abilities) Use hyper jump out in the open, use non-silenced weapons (silenced would take longer) the more the agent meter builds up. How it works now makes not sence at all since the areas are supposed to be "restricted". Need some more danger added to megacity.

Yeah though, I agree with Endomorph, we have all ready had one bad combat change, let's not change this one to something completely different that sounds good and movie related but also sounds difficult become skilled with.
Not changing anything. Not pushing to change anything. Was just an idea I've always had and wanted to see what others thought about it is all. And maybe get a few people to fantasize a bit and see what things they would load up if they could load any ability in the game and not be restricted by trees.
So in a perfect world, if everything was 100% balanced and every ability had a purpose what would be your dream load?
