This was around the time I was looking into spreading my wings to more general Matrix fan sites, hoping to spark interest again based off the story developments at the time. I ended up on MatrixFans2007 which was derived from some other site which was big in the day but got took over by spam bots.

Problem with generalised Matrix sites is a lot of fans shun the continuation as depicted in the games. Which is, you know, what I'm all about. lol.

Well I downloaded the code from that site, but I can't figure out how to use it. It has no .exe files or anything, and I'm not familiar with any advanced technologies...

Hardly 'advanced' but yeah, it's source code you need to compile in Visual Basic. Luckily, thanks to being on a Computer Science degree, I have every IDE under the sun so was able to getting it working. I'll upload all the files in some sort of archive for download if they aren't too large.

Was thinking about the early archives as well. We've got fairly detailed stuff post 5.3 (I think, can't be arsed to look up the exact chapter) from Rare's summaries and notes but the earlier stuff could do with some filling out.

Might hold off on the contacts if Vesu's got it covered. He can let me know if he needs any help.

As for Rep, probably gonna be the most challenging unless devs up the rate.

All my sigs to date:

Very first sig ever, pretty much my first time editting images.

Version 2, figured the blue was more "Cloudy" and added the Omega after having joined The Omega Syndicate. Also just noticed the slight darker edging to the whole thing, dunno why I did that, lol.

Figured out I could add textures to text (wowzers!) so played around with that, I'd levelled up so added that too (xD) and a link to the OS' website (still up btw, where we intend to carry on as a multi-platform faction)

First time trying something a little different, changed the fonts (think this may have been my first time using dafont.com) and discovered transparency.

Added the wolf, took away the level (in an attempt to 'tidy' it), changed the OS font again and added a cool effect to the omega I discovered in my photo editting package of the day (think this was probably paint shop pro at the time)

My brother, Asurik (handle, not real name xD), had been playing around with animated sigs for his Guild Wars characters so I asked him to knock me up a light. Also took away the code in another attempt at tidiness. I remember envying simplistic sigs of the day, which always seemed more professional than my own. Also toyed with the idea of a character slogan, which was actually derived from a line on my ye olde family crest.

One I ran with for a while just to try and make people double take on the name, lol.

Finally got annoyed with the old sig and how it was just changing bit by bit. Went about a total redesign focusing on simplicity and with a combination of two fonts, one 'posh' and one 'edgy' to try and bring across a bit of my character's personality. Rare was pimping the black/white scene back then so thought I'd go with that. Theres also a slight omega symbol on the right, some monitors display it fine, some don't, some you need to view at a certain angle and jazz. Always found hiding stuff fun. Also not as long as the previous versions, initally to try and just make it classier but ultimately came in handy adding links.

Thats true, I've already had a couple audio-swapped. But MxO Music Videos are where it's at :'(

I have all the originals on my hard drive (and tons of pictures, screenshots, dev tool shots, artwork, transcripts, cinematics, soundtracks etc) but they're all too massive to just compress and share. Trust me, I tried it with Catzi once xD

How far along are you with mission transcripts? I was dabbling in archiving the neighbourhood contacts before the announcement but now we've really gotta up the ante if we're going to get everything down on paper. Let me know what you're missing and I might be able to help ya out.
