On Syntax cypherites have three liaisons (Veil, Matarax, Diversus). And non-cypherite machines have none.

Three at once... nice, very nice.
How about... seventeen ?
Sadly, they got into the way of an official investigation and had to be terminated...

I guess we should be carefull on what we wish for from now on. Kudos to devs for caring what the players want.
Thanks.

Sounds like it would be alot of fun, nice job bringing it to MXO.
Sadly I won't be able to participate mainly due to its timing, but I wish good luck everyone who does.

I believe this bug is beyond the point of calling it potential. It is so annoying that it makes the game unplayable. Anytime an npc interlocks you while you are doing anything that would stop you from using combat skills, game considers that you are continuing doing that action permamently. Blocking all your attack skill use permamently.
For example, an npc attacks makes you fall down, which disables your skill use for a sec or two till your RSI stands up again. If an npc interlocks you while you are standing up you lose. Which means, game will believe your character to be doing something that does not allow skill use untill you restart the game or suicide. When that happens in four consequtive missions, requiring me to suicide before each mission, and finish the mission using only regular attacks, it gets beyond the point of being annoying.
This combined with other NPC exploits like in-and out interlock loop, fighting us beyond walls in protected state, going into perma-EVADE mode and all, makes it a must for all NPC's to be banned from the game forever, **bleep** exploiters.

Two weeks ago when I was working on activating all the nodes, I went for this key too. After killing the boss and the gang in his close proximity for hours I gave up and moved on to other keys. The next day I came and killed all the mobs around the boss for hours and still didnt get the key. The day later I came, killed the mobs on the far corner to the boss inside the construction site and got the key on the first group of mobs. I wasn't sure to feel happy or sad...
Edit: This happened on Syntax, but I don't think it has any relation to servers. Message Edited by Aleatha on 06.24.2006 06:59 PM

There are two different topics being discussed in this thread and its confusing the people.
First is about agro control, methods to keep a mob in interlock fighting with you instead of rolling out and attacking others. For that you can use skills like taunt and compell close combat, as well as trying to balance out the damage that you deal against the other competitive factors that mobs build up agro against (healing for example).
Second is a bug that surfaced recently, in which: The 1337 H4x0r mobs interlock you, hit once, go out of interlock, interlock you again, hit once, go out of interlock, interlock you again, hit once... all the while your character doesn't even get one turn to make one move, until you find a way to break their loop by spamming your interlock hotkey or spamming some abilities etc. Ther are many threads about this bug.

This certain bug keeps happening so frequently lately, that I had to change my combat methods to eliminate these exploiting mobs with better efficiency.
Say NO to evil NPC's exploiting the interlock to grief us poor players.

Congratulations for the promotion.
Those news look promising, thanks for bringing up much needed new content to the game.
I have only one thing that I feel a need to mention though. Instead of finding a temporary storage solution for those tokens, by trying to make them self-mailable-but-not-tradable, why not make some adjustments to the loading area ? Adittion fo 20 slots was helpfull for coders that can't even store their bits. But I believe we need a change in the storage purpose and method of the loading area.
First, making those tokens uploadable like mission related letters, audio recordings and documents may help with their storage better then making them mailbox items, considering the number of mails that you can have displayed at one time.
Second, being a person that likes things neat and organized current state of the loading area inventory is giving me nightmares. It would be really helpfull if was seperated into pages like our character inventory. One page for skills, one for bits, one for etc story and mission items mentioned above and hopefully one for storing our weapons, tools and most importantly clothing (I dream of the day...). While we can decompile our items to compile them later thats not really effective for time and resources.
I hope that you see my point in this.

Contacting your organizations liason (by mail - not by tells since they get a flood of them as soon as they login) lets them to note your faction as one of those that are interested in these events. Then when they are going to hold an event, they send mails or tells to the currently online captains and/or leaders of those organizations, informing them of the event in the case that they would want their members to attend. Since there is an event every night (sometimes only small meetings, sometimes player hosted ones instead) there isn't much point in making posts about them saying there is an event tonight, again.

I believe sharing ideas would be better for the community. For example, I am saying that we might need a change from the recent routine in the events. And Psudo says that puzzles have always been in the events one way or other, and adds that he finds the cypers are fitting to the late events. Now I can answer to him saying that what I had in mind is adding some different puzzles and some other tasks that would require more gameplay instead. And we can continue the discussion with others joining with their ideas and maybe all this would lead to underlining a few things that most of us expect from the game and the events in it.
In comprasion saying "then don't participate in the events duh!" isn't going to help anyone. Even if its said nicely like this.
Personally I am enjoying the state that the game is in at this moment, player events mixed with the LET/LESIG events leading to something happening in the game nearly every night gives me something to look forward to, which I found lacking on the other games in the past.

I hope LESIG members stop the trend of finding discs with encoded messages on bodies on events. Maybe it was something different from the standart routine at first but now every event ends with finding discs with encoded messages on bodies.
Why would any same person carry a list of operatives working with him in their secret underground operations is still a mystery to me. As well as the reasons of carrying disks with random chatter betwen two people about past events. I mean if they were worried enough to go and encode them in different patterns each time, why carry themin the first place..But lets drop that and continue with my real point.
While decoding messages would give some people to do game related stuff to do on their office hours. I don't think majority of the community is having fun with this idea. If you check the live events forums you will notice that the people who are capable of solving these cyphers are the same handfull of people everytime.
I really enjoy the events happening every night or two, I just wish that they would stop this trend that isn't related to the game, or the universe its based on.
