The following is an example of content that would encourage people to log in, content that I believe we need to move towards if we want automated systems instead of frequent and consistent live events. It works off a rated shifting power & influence score for the 3 organizations that would be shown at the end of each month (maybe as a graph on the forums or in-game). Three things would sway this score, (1) takeovers towers (2)scheduled club takeovers (3) cq points (1)takeover towers: 3 org towers situated in a neighborhood (3 in mara, 3 in sai kung, 3 in historic) that have a PvP forced radius, each tower can be captured by an org in a pvp situation. There might be a handle(17sec) inside the tower that needs to be activated much like the spotlights at the blue sky event to initiate takeover. A reason to keep the tower in the short term might be buffs that scale, the side with less numbers may hav better buffs given by their tower which can help compensate the Zerg and encourage pvp no matter the numbers situation. Another reason to keep control over the tower may be some kind of integration into the cq system or org strength chart given at the end of each month. fixes: to avoid players camping out in remote unattended towers from International and Downtown to gain points without fighting, perhaps the other district's towers do not activate untill all three in Richland have been occupied and held. If players wanted to pvp in a different district then one member from each org could flip a seperate activation switch/option in their towers to activate the towers in that district. Shown below are some images of the idea I have in mind, as you can see these two towers are attached to the bridge near the Mara hardline, another good spot might be behind the hardline allowing the fight to continue in the main area. (FIGHTING WOULD BE ALLOWED IN THE TOWER, and on the back stairs leading up to them) 




The tower design or positions may seem strange, I made these to help you visualize the concept. It should be fun having 45 reds swarming around the areas, the same pvp but with purpose, no more complaining about a zerg since buffs scale up/down depending on number balance. (edit: allthough now I think about it this addition would be good even without the buffs part)

This thread to make players and developers aware of the Recycle/Selection bug.
There is a Bug in the recycle process, which may be the selection part of it. This is rare for it to happen, but I have now confirmed previous occurrences of mine were not mouse-device related.
Scenario: *right click an inventory item *select Recycle from the drop-down menu *a confirmation box pops up for a completely different item than the one you clicked
As you can see this could be a dangerous bug, however I would guess it is only happening 1/1000 recycles so if anyone has information to reproduce this bug perhaps we can speed up the fix time.
Below are two screenshots that explain the problem visually, note this is an EXAMPLE and subtle green selection squares may appear in different locations when the bug is actually occurring.


In this example we want to recycle Code Bit 2, but the selection for some reason jumps up to a different row/column and does the action.
Some times when recycling squares we are careful about the initial click, but do not read the confirmation box. Make sure you do for now until this is fixed or we get a lock function.

This occurred during my login session, re-logins after that did not fix, various people in game have confirmed the below issues in the last five hours. *edit, relog sometimes fixes
Symptoms: *buddy list not loading at all on login, *private messages not sending *faction chat not working/not linked properly. *faction ID's not being found resulting in <Scanning...> *email list being empty
Time this started happening:
I didn't mark the time, for me this started happening.. *it was after 6:40pm PST *it was before 9:28pm PST *Im guessing it was around 7/8:00pm PST

What if we could transfer RSI data to another Instance of the Matrix, an automated function running in the background, no manual character transfers to be done. If you held the right key..

Purpose: To transfer self for a short or long period of time, individually, to another instance of the Matrix.
Cost: What I had in mind was an expensive key, much like the Org Area key, that costs 50mil and gives you a 2 way transfer key (eg.. Syntax<->Vector) and a separate key for (Syntax<->Recursion) for example. To avoid clogging or bottlenecks, the price is high so the people using it is minimal. (This key could degrade, it could last, or be a one time use. Balance is up to the Developers)
Mass Jumps: To avoid clogging or bottlenecks, the queuing mechanism would detect transfer requests within the last 60 or 120 seconds. This is to avoid many people jumping to catch an event on another server. If more than a dozen chose to go to a server in a short period of time, the queue estimation adds an hour (or more), letting the operative understand event jumping isn't the purpose of this relocation. As people cancel out their request those that stay will get reduced queuing time.
Character Slots: A character slot would need to be available to complete the transfer, and you would also need one available on the way back home. This would be a full transfer, so info and items would be relocated in full.
Time: To avoid stress on this mechanism, and to discourage people from using it yet again, place a minimum time for stay on chosen server before return, for example 2 days.
Factions: A character's assigned faction would be kept in the character data. Faction chat from remote server would not be able to send or receive faction chat on home server. Faction names across servers would be universal, If the same faction name exists at the time this is implemented, the older faction of the servers would select which is authorized to have that name, and which is not allowed to have that name.
For example Systematic Chaos on Vector-Hostile could authorize Systematic Chaos on Syntax to keep the name, when a Syntax operative from that faction transfers over to Vector they link up with the Vector faction chat.
But Why?: The issue of character transfers have been requested for a while. This is an automated method of transfer that has various discouraging factors to maintain quantity of use. This would also make the Instances feel more linked.
This would allow greater collaboration between groups working for the same org on different servers. We could exchange operatives, increase foreign relations, farm/sell/mine off site. It would also be a good change for both the non flagged and flagged servers to experience different pvp styles.

You are going to love this one. Based off the 1983 movie Wargames,        It's a real time Strategy game, up to six sides can play at once. They have chosen to keep the units simple and make it really easy to command your units and launch nasties. The air units consist of Bombers and Fighters. The Boats consist of Carriers, Battleships and Submarines. The land structures you can deploy are Silos, Radars & Airbases. All have a specific purpose. The game play works as Defcon levels, at Defcon 5 and 4 you must place your units and structures, get your boats into place. At Defcon 3 you can launch planes and at Defcon 1 it's possible to launch Nukes (from Silos, Planes or Submarines) Structures: *Silos automatically defend against incoming Planes and Nukes. Putting them into launch mode temporarily disables the defense function. (around 6 can be placed) *Radars give you circular view at the edge or center of your land. Can see strategy possibilities here. (around 6 can be placed, depending on game mode) *Airbases let you launch fighter and bomber planes, these can also be destroyed. Planes can land back at the airbase, provided they have enough fuel. (around 4 can be placed) Units: *Planes have a fuel radius indicated by a blue circle when you select them. This is their fuel estimate. If you don't have enough fuel to land at the airbase you better hope there is an aircraft carrier around. Bombers are slower, have allot of fuel, are good against ground targets and boats. Fighters are quicker, have a short amount of fuel, and are effective against Planes and other targets. *Battleships are mainly for see scuffles, Carriers can launch and re-fuel planes, they also have submarine detection and depth charges. Submarines can't give you radar data but can fire nukes, detected when in fire mode. Population: The other blips you may notice are cities, population is listed for each city, points are scored for eliminating residents with nuke and air strikes. KK where!? You can download and play this game right now, it's around 58mb in size and comes with a Demo mode, only one demo player per war game is permitted. If you like it and plan to do lots of multi player you can register for around 20bux (one time charge). This is a fun game that doesn't take allot of time, it's good for people who don't have time for two MMO's but want a different multi player game. http://www.everybody-dies.com windows, linux, mac. This thread is not for a specific idea, but the feedback people have on luggables, in relation to balance, purpose or amount. My feedback on luggables so far. I really like the idea of dropping items in the world, and having these change hands by chance or by force. This will encourage people to flag themselves by getting the buf giving luggables, creating some of the vector-like sparatic pvp on the non-hostile servers. Which I do like alot. Distance: After the hotfix they were locatable from an extreme distance. This is not good for those who want to hide something and have it next time they jack in, but is good if you want to keep these things changing hands all the time. When the patch first came out, luggables were detectable from 100 metres, sometimes 375metres, this means it was possible to hide them, which made finding them more fun. A well chosen spot could go undetected for half a day or more. After the hotfix this distance sometimes read 1800 metres, nerfing the stash and hide idea. Numbers: Word in the matrix after the patch was, that the maximum number of snowmen per district would be three. This didn't happen. I do hope when the christmas event is over and we have permanent luggables that they are rare in numbers. And not so easy to detect. Suggesting a /dumpchannel command, this would transfer all that is in the buffer to the chat.log file. For example if you are logging but missed the start, you could do /dumpchannel then alt+L If the timestamp isn't included in the buffer that's ok, just dump the text into a file. If the timestamp isn't included then multiple channel dump would not be possible due to order issues, single channel is thus okies!

what is the first thing you do when you get interlocked in Pvp unexpectedly? is it.. 1- reach for your chocolate milk 2- use the power tactic and try to deal damage before you die! 3- repedatively snap the mouse on withdrawl while panicking 4- call in a zerg 5- stab them with stake while downing a health pill 6- say "ok let us see where this goes" 7- use the grab tactic to throw them over your shoulder 8- click block and already start typing your post-death insult before you die. 9- switch hotbars or invent panels searching for your pvp gear. 0- other discuss.

How many times a day or week do you join a team and there is not enough room for everyone that needs to be on the team. I am proposing that when a team size reaches it's max of 6 players... the leader of the team has the option of setting current mission team to "defunct". This would disable the ability for the leader to start Missions or Archives.. but enable more people than the standard 6 to be invited to the team. (The reason I suggest that the team become defunct is that I understand the limitations put on us for missions.. but I also understand the need for non-mission based mission teams) Non-mission based Teams are usually created to get the team member Arrows on the map and the HP/IS data for PVP. Another reason for non-mission teams to be created is to hold small meetings in teamchat. Many meetings however have 10-30 people, speaking in area chat and having people guarding the perimeter is not a good use of resources. (so people goto the org-areas to meet.. then they have the same problem with mission team size) -standard mission team (1-6 people) missions, archives, other -defunct mission team (6-16 people) meetings, org-area meetings, pvp

There was a discussion about fixing find weakness a couple of months ago, This still isn't right, It works even less then before, was 50% work, now it hardly ever works (you click it, it takes the time to activate, and recharges, but no magnifying glass icon in buffer area) There was some suggestion that find weakness needed to have the enemy selected to make it function, still doesn't work.

I am suggesting a feature for Leaders of Factions. This feature would be to broadcast a screen message to all members of a faction. An example of this message type is shown in the below screenshot from the Architect that appears on the screen for a few seconds and then fades off. (and also appears in system window)

The simplest way to implement this function would be to have a command that works as follows...
/broadcast All faction members report to Zia North hardline immediately
If a normal member tried this function they would get the following error (only faction leaders may broadcast) This should be a rare occurrence and special, so I don't think captains should have access to this, only faction leaders.
Sometimes faction chat isn't looked at. for example a member may be switched over to Team chat mode and not see faction chat messages and may miss something of great importance.

Are there any minigames such as playing poker, operating a computer interface or target shooting [as an example]
thought id ask since there is more i discover each time i jack in.
And what other mission related minigames are there besides Cleaning Exile hideouts, tapping Data nodes and collecting gang relics for npcs. (one that i dont remember too well is when you need to collect a bunch of keyCards for access to some area)
