Community General Discussion Where you off to, MxO? Re:Where you off to, MxO? XDisk 0 06/07/2009 08:51

I'm trying out SWG and Evercrack I and II.

As big a fan of Star Wars as I am--I have to say that so far SWG sucks, big time. I'm holding out hope it gets better.

I like Evercrack so far.

Tried Free Realms. Not impressed. I guess it's okay if your into anime or like cartoons. It was too much like runescape for me.

Looking forward to Stargate Worlds as I'm a big fan of the milieu. Signed up for beta testing, but haven't heard back from them. (Big Surprise!)

But seriously, nothing will replace MxO in my heart.

Thanx to all those who took the time to talk to me when I was a low lvl char and had no clue what I was doing.

I'm on most games/forums as XDisk or burgyboy with a few 8's behind it, ie: burgyboy88. burgyboy8888.

Peace and love to all. I'm glad we could share in this experience.

Too bad it has to end.

pissing in the wind is not a fight

Sitting on our collective thumbs and crying is not a fight either.

If we get an online petition going, and we get every player and every one they know to sign it, maybe just maybe SOE will pay attention.

It might not help, but it can't hurt either.

We could always start a campaign to send Red Pills to SOE headquarters. SMILEY  (Jelly beans would do in lieu of actual pills.)

Actually some of them have.

WHAT DO WE HAVE TO LOSE?!

Like I said before, for some reason it won't send me the confirmation email after I've set the petition up.

Would someone else please try it?

I've been trying to start one @ www.petitiononline.com/  but I never receive the confirmation email.

Any one else want to try??

Community General Discussion POPULATION PROGRESS/DECLINE COUNTER Re:POPULATION PROGRESS/DECLINE COUNTER XDisk 0 03/16/2009 13:39

I tried to get numbers from SOE last summer...better luck getting into fort knox.

I did hear from a reliable source though that the number was hovering somewhere around

40-50,000 at that time.

Now I have noticed a lot of fresh meat since the station pass was introduced, so YMMV.

Community General Discussion If you were Dev for a month (or two) Re:If you were Dev for a month (or two) XDisk 0 03/05/2009 07:53

I would do much of the above, but most importantly-at least to me-draw some decent cinematics. The last few looked like they were done with MSpaint while the artist was high on meth. One person's "style" is another  person's crap.

Gimme a break!

Other than that:

More live events.

More involved story lines.

Switch back to the old critical mission system.

Community General Discussion Number of Players. Re:Number of Players. XDisk 0 09/24/2008 21:16
  What SOE actually said was...

"We are happy to see your interest in our game. We are always happy to assist our valuable customers. Unfortunately we can't provide you the player information about our game. There are several third party websites that contain data related to leading MMOs. You may want to refer to those websites for the player base. Also we won't be responsible for any issue caused by accessing any third party website. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to ask.

With regards,

Glenn M.
Sony Online Customer Service"

A simple "Maybe a thousand or so.(Or whatever)" would have sufficed.

I like 42 tho. I really miss DNA. They're publishing a new unfinished book of his, can't wait to see  it.

Community General Discussion Number of Players. Number of Players. XDisk 0 09/22/2008 10:44
OK, this seems like a simple enough question to me, but nobody knows/wants to tell.

The thing is, whenever I tell people how cool MxO is, and how they should try it, the first thing they ask is "How many players are there".

My response is usually "Umm..."

I've searched the forums. I've searched Google. I even emailed SOE (You don't want to know what their response was!).

But what I want to know is...

HOW MANY PLAYERS DOES MXO HAVE????

Does anyone know?

Why is it such a big friggin secret?

SMILEY Am I the only one? Is every one else a bot? SMILEY (I think I need to take my meds!) SMILEY

Thanx in advance,

Support Forums General Technical Help and Questions I cant update the Game Re:I cant update the Game XDisk 0 07/03/2008 13:09
I am having the same problem with the same error message.

It also says something about corrupted files.

I re-installed MxO and also set it to run as Administrator.

Same problem.  SMILEY<img mce_tsrc=" />

P.S. I don't use the station launcher-too unstable.

**UPDATE**

Finally got it working! However--now the whole thing crashes at random times. It just goes straight to the desktop, no error messages, no nothing. The game
flashes out of existence and I'm back on my desktop.

I've been running Vista since day one and it always runs stable-(I play hours at a time, who doesn't right?)-never had it do that before.

Any suggestions???

Change some other article of clothing.

Some combinations of clothes make the video go wonky.

  I had the same problem.

This might sound crazy, but change your shoes.

I switched from shoes to boots and the problem went away.

Saw the exact problem I was having in another thread.

Someone suggested that certain articles of clothing cause the problem.

Changed my shirt and lo and behold everything is back to normal.

W T F?

I REALLY wish I'd have known that three months ago!!!!!

Oh well, at least I got an upgrade out of the deal.  SMILEY

Mine is doing the same thing.

I thought it might be a Vista issue except that the game was fine until the vid card blew out.

I tried to post my DXDIAG but I got the following message:

Your post has exceeded the maximum size (20,480). Please make the body shorter or use less formatting and try again.

What can I cut out of it to get it small enough to fit?

Thanx,

  OKay, long story,

Played MxO for months with no problems.

Video card , Nvidia 5700le, over heated.

Switch to back up card from old system. Nvidia 4400Ti , I  think.

When I jack in everything looked fine until I turned around. Then all my abilities would turn to pastel squares and everything else turned low res.

I bought:

New Mobo

New Video Card-Nvidia 8400 something.

New CPU AMD x2 4200+

Uninstalled then reinstalled MxO.

SAME THING IS HAPPENING!!!!!

I'm running Vista Home Premium with all updates.

Thanx in advance for any and all help.
