I would like to say thank you Walrus and the team for a great ride, the game was great (even with its flaws) and I enjoyed the events. I received an email a long time ago in beta which gave me some happiness. It stated i was part of a small group of people, 50, who were part of a VIP beta program. We could access the game servers at any time (this was during the time the beta was only open for so many hours a day) and it was great. I felt like I had accomplished a lot in the Beta Project and I heart all those who i have talked to and touched over the years (yes in that way). Thanks for the fish.

First and foremost I would like to state that I was a moderator back in the Beta Forums, once the game went Live I was asked to help out again and I accepted. Not many people knew who I was, only a selected handful knew of my true identity.

I was known as Mad_Hatter. I choose the name to have no signaficant meaning other than a link back to the Matrix and the alice in the wonder land theme. I am sorry for not acting like the real Hatter as some of you wanted but I did try to be professional at the job.

So im back, but only till July 31st, good thing I didnt delete my character or give my stuffs out. Now who to punt first...

I will not be returning once my sub runs out. In the past 2 years during my exodus I came back during the holiday events to see what kinds of changes were made and slowly but surely I noticed the recline in the game start to show. With the announcment from Walrus that the game is going to continue but without any new story content I find that it is now just a big 3d chat room, which is nothing wrong with that but MxO was based off of the fact of a continuing story.

I wish to thank Walrus, HCfrog, Dracomat, 9mmfu, Rarebit, and the countless other Devs/GMs/Admins who tried to keep this project alive over the years. I had a good run with the game during the Beta and the first year or so after launch, and the memories will last forever for me.

To those who I got to know, way to many people and factions to list, thank you all for your friendship, time, and patience with me. I may not have been good at RP, and even at times I was down right OOC during parties, but I had fun when an event occured or when a member of the LESIG showed up.

This last event on the Government building roof had the old feeling of a live event, even if it lasted just 30 mins. Some have a vocal opinion on how things were ran or how they ended up, but I re-subed for the event to show my respect to the final event, to Rarebit, and to the last amount of storyline we were given. I do not know if he did his best, but he did what he did with what he was given to use.

As I sit here remembering the old days I am reminded of what it was that kept me here all those years ago, what is there to keep me here now? The Matrix Online, although a brand new MMO that had a continuing story line, was one of the first MMO's I was partaking in.

At first, I was interested in the Series from the movies, with all that could be done, and all the fun that could be had with a game that is derived from it. I signed up to do the Beta for MxO with no expectations. I found myself in a all consuming world of a community that was helpful to one another, a desire to make MxO one of the best MMO's out there, and a dedicated Dev/GM/Admin team to boot.

Later down the road the Beta was over and the game was launched, month after month we had fantastic stories being told by cinamatics and through the news paper. Even some posts made on the forums from event characters made it all tie in to something wonderful to be apart of. Slowly the game lost its luster.

Over time players left, the game changed and everyone had to get used to the new style and combat system mechanics. We over came that and learned how to better fight under differant stradegies. The story started turning and some lost focus, more side stories were introduced to hold us over for the next time a patch shows up. Then I found myself more bored than actually having fun. Once I reached level 50 and got most of the items you can farm for, all was left was to wait for the next patch with the new missions and story.

The first time I left I felt sad to do so, but knew I could not just stand around waiting for fixs to made while I could spend my money else where. I waited a full year, came back for the christmas event to see old faces and see what new things I can try out. Sadly it was not what I was expecting. With even more story and new content than I could farm for, I started to realize what it was that was missing. My friends. Those who I had come to respect, and talk to daily. From zionists in other factions, or just the usually ribbing of machinist who I tend to target in PvP. As time passed more and more players left, increasing the void that was left.

And now with the latest patch, I felt at home for the first time in years to see all the old faces returning and friends I havent seen in years, but sadly that was short lived as well. For now most are unsubbed again and can not phanthom re subbing to a dead game.

For me it was more than just some Game, it was a great community filled with friends, dedicated players and workers who knew that this was a project we all were apart of. Do I think it was time well spent or wasted? I dunno, but I did enjoy myself for what it was worth. No matter how the future handles MxO, I was glad to be apart of it, through all the bumps and turns. For now, I will always remember those who partipated and those who took part of the Matrix Online.

Almost forgetten about the old DN1 site and what it looked like. Was looking through the archived news and saw a lot of stuff that I had missed from the old days. Iv been with the game for 5 years now and its more of an off again on again relationship I have with it. Due to certian circumstances financialy I have to cancel my sub and a few other things to save some cash for the next few months.

My sub runs out on the 7th. I will be back when I can, if something comes up were I can come back sooner I will try. It was good seeing all you again in game and trying to get the new content that was missed the past couple of years squeezed into a few weeks.

I found a vendor, Dr. Martin, and he trades for some unusual stuff. One being the beta hyper jump. So now regular players can now get this item which was suppose to be for just beta players? The reason I complain is that those of us that had it, had an edge (a small one) in which we can use that ability instead of wasting memory on the normal Hyperjump and putting that extra memory into another abililty.

So whats to stop them from put up another vendor and trading something in for the Beta clothes? (Making them tradable is a seprate issue) I am just scratching my head on this one. And I also see he gives us the Mobius code, how nice.

Tis the season to be giving, and receiving. If you are in the giving mood to make donations to your local Coder, be it enhanced clothes you find in missions that you cant wear, or guns that you wish to get off the streets, donate them to a great cause.

Coders are always on the look out for the best clothes and guns, and so are opertives who are looking to get an edge in the pvp game or to kill that pesky lvl 70 boss. So if your a coder and looking for donations reply, if you wish to donate thats great!

Using the in-game email system or if you wish to make it personal and walk up to us to donate works just as well, I code for just about anyone who asks and I have the items, and I am sure most others well too.

I was looking through some of the new content, the lvl 50 male shinobi gear at the mara vendors and noticed something strange. Now, I am thinking that shinobi gear should be for MKT/Assassin type builds or geared more towards it a bit, so why is it that they give a Melee accuracy bonus of 3% instead of lets say Thrown accuracy or thrown damage bonus?

I either lost my mind and we are under a CR3.0 or someone screwed up with putting buffs on these clothes. At any rate, what do you guys think?

Ok so I had some time to play around on the new updates and a few questions come to mind. I noticed that the first thing I could not do was mouse over an item and get a thumbnail view of it. I am not sure if this is due to game updates or the fact I am on vista.

I saw that they did away with the Completion tokens for archived missions and we now get an IS booster, why? And what happend to the vendor who was collecting the completion tokens.

Another year goes by and familar faces are still abound, the same places we visit daily go unchanged and the sights of friends makes ones own heart fill with joy.

Came back to check things out to see how much has changed (or not changed). I will try to make my rounds and see about punting Satta if hes still around.

I am no longer interested in this game. It was a good run for 3 years (including beta) but I just dont have the drive no more to jack in anymore to stand around doing nothing. Yes the last couple of patches included some great content, but sadly its to little to late for me.

I am also losing my current pay rate due to our department finally getting a Dept. Head in, so my pay is going back to being just a normal clerk. With the cost of my cell phone and gas, I also dont see any reason to keep paying 15 dollars a month to a game I am no longer interested in.

Even if the game lost my interest, the community here was one of the best that I could be apart of. With very knowledgable players on practiclly any subject, and even some very nice people to boot! I have tried to stay as long as I could but I just couldnt do it no longer.

Whats next for me over the horizon? Halo 3 well be coming out shortly on the 25th and I look forward to unlocking the story in the third game.

I am not sure when my final day of playing well be, but I am keeping my stuffs and I will not come back unless, UNLESS there is some major update that some how makes my eyes water with inspiration and untill that day I shall stay in the halo universe.

Ok so heres the deal, we know there was many other matrix's before this current one. All made to keep us in our dream state so the machines can keep us sleeping while drawing off our energy. They all failed to grasp the understanding of the sub conscience mind of a human and their systems came crashing down losing millions of fields of energy in the proccess.

This matrix is not perfect either but allows 99% of us to stay asleep, and that 1% are awakened to the dead world of no plants, no animals, no fresh water. So why allow that 1% to go off into the lower depths of the earth and allow them to build a city in the first place? Why didnt they just simply liquidfy them and feed them off to the other 99% still under sleep?

One could point out they allowed them to be semi free to see if they will change, to see if a truce/peace could exist with these humans or not. To counter that I would say they would have no  form of communication with the Machines as any attempts to reach the surface and you die by sentinals, any attempts to hack ino the matrix and Agents slaughter you.

So the 1% is allowed freed for some reason, and they end up in zion unable to communicate to the machines and they are suppose to just wait at zion untill the machines come to destroy them so that the control proccess can start all over again?

This is only my observation mind you and I am sure many well rip this apart but isnt that the point?

with filing /bug reports on bugs and glitchs. It just seems that certian things are not getting worked on as fast as i would like. Certian things which break the fantasy element like the invisible wall at mara SW and the double doors in the elevater near Magog West are just a couple of things that have been around for a long long time and havent been fixed it.

Other bugs are mostly from the combat system which is always been worked on. I send in the reports, and we dont get any word back about it so we just wait the 6-8 weeks for the patch to come hoping that something gets fixed. I mean with how many of the bugs that should be known by now which are found and reported should I just stop reporting them and wait for another year and half before we see fixs or am I just wasting my time?

So one of my family members brought this game over a week ago to try it out, after seeing it in action and played a bit I liked it.

It is a very fun and addictive game that has a lot of skill involved when you try the harder modes. It is a tad expensive if you want the x-plore controler but its well worth it when your playing with others. I have noticed when playing for a couple hours my knuckles on my Fret hand start to cramp up and hurt and my wrist on my strumming hand starts to be  sore.

So if you do have this game and the controller please take breaks otherwise you will be hurting. Or maybe im just holding it wrong >_<

Recently in these past few weeks, I have noticed a rather good turn out for the mervs and machs in the noonish to afternoonish times. This lead to a more fun and rather other sided pvp battles which for once it wasnt Zion totaly owning it all.

I hope it stays this way for a good while and maybe for a few more zionists to flag on their own without needing another faction to do so Yes I died many a times, and I even told Sattakan how refreshing it was. So inclosing, thank you recursion mervs and machs for making pvp a bit more interesting.

So we all know that some trees have abilities that cause root, but certian trees have differant roots than others. I am wondering what you all think of making roots all work the same? For gunmen there is  a root that does not break with damage, for mkt their roots do break with damage. Should they stay as they are, or should they all be broken by damage or not broken at all and let the duration timer run out?

ok most of us know this used to work a long time ago, what if it can be re tooled to work a bit differantly? Ever missed an event cause you were to busy farming subs? I was thinking that the re tooled Flash Traffic system could be designed to view the Live event forums, or even the world forums that cater to your current server. Maybe a link provided to check for emails or information posted by Liasons of your Org that go along with that storyline event.

Some thoughts on what you all might want to use it for? I know a few times iv missed a couple events cause i was busy doing something and didnt learn of it till the next day when it was posted on the forums. And who knows, maybe it would encourage some of those players who dont visit the forums to come here more often.

To get away from the Drama and to spark a rather cival conversation about other peoples lives, I ask you this question what does christmas mean to you?

When I was younger it was all about the 2 week winter vacation from school, being home with mom and having fun times watching movies on the television and waiting for chirstmas day to arrive. Thinking what presents I might be getting that year, and the smells and visual sights of the christmas decorations around the house. When christmas eve came, it was the excitment that builds up at night waiting for the next day to come before you get to open your presents and have a great morning with the family.

Now that im a bit older it has gotten to be a stress filled, work my butt off, and to tired to put up decorations kind of year. Spending more and more of my free time at work instead of at home cause of people getting sick or quitting, each day getting up and feeling dread for what i have to walk into that day at work. Only have excitment for christmas day for it will be my only day off after two weeks. Bearly any time to go out and shop for gifts for the growing number of family members, so I tend to do my shopping late at night online and pray i have enough money to pay for that extra shipping costs to get it in before christmas.

For me, christmas used to mean a time of fun with family and a time to reflect on that year at how I was as a person. As time went on though it has gotten to mean a busy work week with a day off in sight so that I can finally rest for a day before the next holiday arrives.

Ok so i keep hearing ppl want to use 01 to farm, but the minute they get killed they go ZOMG then go off on a cussing spree about getting killed while farming.

Basicly this is discussion on what you all think about the constructs, are they for pvp or farming? Should someone get upset if they are killed in one? I just want to also see the thinking on the other side of the fence, those who just go there to farm and think its a friendly place 24/7.

I wish to compile a list of complaints you all have with the game, whether its with the ability timers on certian trees, or maybe its the CCR system you dont like and have suggestions for improvment. I sorta liked the old system in beta actually.

You can list as many issues or whatever problems you are experiancing in game here and I hope that walrus or rarebit can see what is bugging you all the most and see what they can do to make improvments over the next few months/year.

Anyways, to make a long post short cause im tired of re posting the same thing and the forum bugging out, I am having surgery on tuesday the 19th. Not sure when ill be back after that day but i have 2 weeks off work to heal up.

This was something i planned for 3 years now and finally saved enough money to get it done. So just letting ya all know whats going on, if you dont see me sooner then ill punt ya later.

So after patching this morning and jumping on I get told the keys are broke (fix for this is to run a standard mission then abort then try the key) then I found a few faction mates and headed into 01 to get some machine parts.

We did a few robots and gathered a little bit of parts here and there, then some machines came in. The fighting started early and I had to go off to work.

Later in the day when i got home I find that zion as re taken 01 and held it for a couple hours. So i figured id go in and help out. We held the taskmaster area for a good 5-6 hours with a little skirmish here and there with a few reds. With all the zionists up there farming we had to create teams and go in rotations of not only teams but the members in the teams (this was fair but very long and more teams kept being added)

On that last hour the Machines gathered and FH took it upon ourselfs to block them on the base of the satillite as much as we can, we got pushed back up the ramp to the main platform. Here is where things got dicey. The normal Zions who were there to farm, most left, but those who stuck around were in the middle of a war.

TC brought healers and UM's and sniped from the ramp while FH and the other zionists knived and hacked our enemies to death. Heals and Rez's on both sides the fight lasted for a good 30-45 mins. Eventually the numbers switched and with Zions attention to the ramp the Machines sent in there spys in the rear to take out the weak ones. By 10pm EST zion had to retreat back to base and gather resources for there next offensive.

At this time is when i logged off to take care of some things, I would like to say it was a awesome day today even when ppl cried.

In all honosty it is like the Sakura construct all over again, but ppl need to learn its a PVP construct, not a farming construct. Some ppl will pvp in there because they go by Red is dead, or they just dont like that org or faction. Its never personal (well a few ppl maybe) but its a PVP construct first, its suppose to be hard to get those drops not to be handed to anyone. Thanks to everyone who participated, was fun testing out my new attributes with spy.

Just so i can get a good idea of what everyone is looking for in the Market place, if you can tell me what kinds of clothes your all interested in for Buffs and lvl and gender ill see what i can put up in the next week in the MP.

I am always putting stuff up there for sale and sometimes it wont sell this is just so i can get real clothes up there that you all are actually looking for.
