I'm not sure if this is specifically an MxO problem or not but I'll post in the hope that someone has either seen this before or can give me a pointer or 2.
Have been happily playing MxO since January, no real problems to speak of so far.
Earlier last week my graphics went all over the place, severe corruption and such, so I rebooted, expecting this to clear it.
Sure enough, in Windows it cleared it, but as soon as I went back into MxO it came back.
I've borrowed a friends' video card now and this doesn't do it but instead it seems to have see-through textures on characters in random places.
I can't really pin it down to anything specific, nothing on my system has been changed lately except trialling a new video card.
I have all the latest drivers available, MxO is patched and is fine with my old old card.
Trialling this on another copy of the OS (dual boot) does not fix it.
Specs :
Windows 2000 SP4
1.5GB RAM
Old Old Card - NVidia GeForce4 Ti4600 (stock)
My Card - XFX NVidia GeForce 6800GT (stock)
Friends Card - Gainward NVidia GeForce 7800GS 'BLISS' (stock)
DirectX - 9.0c
PSU - Antec TrueBlue 550W
Board - Gigabyte GA800T (I think)
All cards are AGP and use the NVidia Forceware drivers.
Has anyone else had any kind of graphics corruption issues or does anyone have any idea of how I might pin this down to a specific component?
Only thing I can think of is that I have some kind of low-level (motherboard) hardware problem that's just suddenly 'appeared', I will try a fresh install of the OS and see if I get anywhere.
