True, and still if you still live by that example then you should know the reason why the Machines play Zookeeper. We as a people did not deserve the role as dominant species on the planet. If you read the message above it DOES speak of equality. The Machines LEARNED to be dominated- because they were treated that way- as the parents- if you cannot realize your RESPONSIBILITY as a parental figure to the Machines.

Act with maturity and responsibility. Come to some sense as Neo had done. He was responsibile for the well-fare of the people in Zion and the solution to the Exiles AND prevented the Machine City from being overtaken by Smith.

Like an extension of the Hell Archives, having an eranged Lupine or anything of that stature. Hell the Machines could create an Oligarchy Demo Platform for operatives to encounter the Halborn or Carlyne repeatively and study the effects of overrides or whatever (ive been away for a bit to know the fullest about that story)

Extreme Challenges. There was once a time when SoE announced a high end area to Everquest. They publically announced "This place is not meant for the anything less than the best. To enter is at your own discrection. We will NOT assist you in this zone.

This is what players need. Some kind of content that is possible but makes them scratch their head saying "How do you do that?"

After the pvp < rp - rp> pvp thread I guess it would be a relevant question to ask the community. What do you enjoy most? The Live Events? The Crits? The Farms like Valkyrjah content missions? Bigger Farms like the Corruptor one? Small Contact missions? Or Archives? It could even be treasurehunting for luggables or 50 guns or parties or just standing around being social on the interwebz! (Vector you *don't* have to answer that last one)

The question isnt what do you like now- but what do you like in this game that can be taken to the next step.

Crits, Contacts,Archives- What could make it better.

Non-instance Farming (Corrupter,Pbox, Sati)- What different challenges can you give a boss

Luggables- etc etc etc

Do not stand for what is good now. Stand for the competetive content that makes you want to log in 8 months from now.

Do you get that Devs and Programmers? I dont care about little sneak peeks of the next patch that involves colorful sashes and how they flow in the wind. That is all eye candy. I AM NO FOOL. I am a gamer and I want to be challenged. Not look good in a pink Gi.

Why am I content with an online game?

People try to stand for certain things but when you have 5 zion factions saying the game thing- just merge them together.

And thats the thing- Survive. Not scavage for a new player or wait for someone to throw a fit and jump org for them to tag.

Faction Ranks, Flags, Items. the ideas are there in other games. Its just that when they get talked about here- they usually get bad responses (like character xfers and merges)

Everyone here wants to be little. and thats why this game is where it is- if you guys want to have a bigger game- you have to make it happen.

Bite the bullet and join bigger teams- do bigger events until everyone has everything from the content and boom- they make more content.

I agree fully, just came from Warhammer Open Beta and as of 2 minutes ago it just got uninstalled, I can't I mean CAN'T take the people playing it, same goes with WoW it might be a better AI it might be a better overall population on the server, It might be a real big guild, but... truth be told, many could care less about you being in their guild or on their server or in their game because it's so big, here we do take care of the people coming in to try the game out... it's a game with a small population, but the cool peeps here keeps it running, and that's actually like 95% of the entire 3 server population, there's a few bastards around but even for them it's a make or break and sometimes they even come back on alts and sit and shittalk the ones that's still having fun, I personally find that hilarious - and a sure sign that we got something special going here. Not to mention the events that at least give the players the attention of the npc's like Pace and whoever, instead of it just being some generic npc requesting this or that for the 100th time, not fun, just a drag... can't stand the quest systems either, grrrrrrr.. *vomits*

Guilds that look after there own are the "family guilds." On the other hand, power guilds that focus on advancement treat their guilds like business; resumes, references and so on. That is the nature of those guilds and bless them for it imho.  Without some kind of discipline no guild can function to acheive goals.

A while ago, i wrote a post about exclusiveness of guilds. It creates class warfare between casual players and advanced players. And here in 2008, where the mmo community has been around for nearly a decade. People have found their community of friends, they move from game to game and those are the people i think you are referring to (when you state that they dont care about you- they honestly dont because they are so tight with their people it doesnt even matter about fresh recruits)

And as far as quests- I dont believe MxO has any room to talk about quests. WoW set the standard for quests and even i have to give them credit to that.  Quests are the combination of Lore and Farming. Plain and simple. If you dont like it. Play here. Whoops.

 The difference between this game and every other game is the amount of lore that gets spread throughout the game rather than waiting for it every few weeks via special missions and events.

These games DO have funding to create expansions AND more lore.

It is all about where players want to be.

With friends, with action and challenges and most people have found the friends they want. now they just need a place to stay.

Im glad that you find your home here great. But take a big wide looking glass view of how and where MMOs should go- and you will realize that MXO is just a Eastern Euro Click to run game that has a $ 15 sub instead of an item mall. Go Figure.

Age of Conan? Warhammer. The next age of games is already here. These little companies (mythic - dark ages of camelot) have in the past created pvp structure.

I honestly wish i had a new comp to be playing these new games. If i may say so- all of the core pvp factions on Vector fade away for certain reasons (challenge, lore, and competition in pvp).

I will be there but I will be using an older name not Jack.

PvP servers of course not sure if my clan is going RPvP (i doubt they will)

With Battle Siege zones, it will require teamwork to win.

Something very few vector people know about.
